In this study we will see the significance of the fine flour, oil, wine & drink offerings in daily offering used in sacrifices in Torah offerings and how it relates to us in grinding us to be one with the sweet fragrance of Mashiyach and making us whole in him. While the physical commandment stood in meats and offerings, it will still remain as a carnal ordinance if one doesn’t see Mashiyach in it and occupying oneself with the carnal saphar/letter will lead one into enmity with Yahuah for a carnal mind is enmity with Yahuah but to be spiritually minded is peace.
The Daily Torah offering:
Let’s read straight from the text of Exodus 29:38-42 where Yahuah commands Masha on the daily offering at the doorway of the tent of appointment before Yahuah, where he would meet and speak there.
The Abary word for door is patakh H46607 and Yahusha says ‘’I am the door/patakh…’’’. He also says he has the key of David and the door/patakh which he opens no one can shut and the door/patakh which he shuts, no one can open. HE IS THE DOOR of the AHAL/tent of Appointment/muad. The same word muad is used for the appointed times of Yahuah. One cannot enter the door without Yahusha.
Ex 29:38 Now this is what you shall offer on the altar: two he/ban (son)-lambs of a year old daily, continuously.
Ex 29:39 The one lamb you shall offer in the morning and the other lamb you shall offer between the evenings/arab H6153;
Ex 29:40 and there shall be one-tenth/asharun H6241 of fine flour/salat H5560 mixed/balal H1101 with one-fourth/raba H7253 of a hin/hahyan H1969 of crushed/Katyat H3795 oil, and one-fourth/rabayath H72453 of a hin/hahyan H1969 of wine for a drink offering /nasak H5262 with one lamb.
Ex 29:41 The other lamb you shall offer between the evenings/arab H6153, you shall make to it as the meat offering/mankhah H4503 of the morning, and as its drink offering/nasak H5262, for a sweet/naykuk H 5207 fragrance/rayakh H7381, by a fire offering/ashah H801 to Yahuah.
Ex 29:42 It shall be a continual/tamyad H8548 burnt offering/alah H5930 throughout your generations at the doorway/patakh H6607 of the tent of appointment/muad H4150 before Yahuah, where I shall meet with you, to speak to you there.
In the daily offering one lamb was to be offered in the morning and one in the evening, we have touched upon this before that when Yahusha hung on the stake from the sixth hour to the ninth hour Alahym brought darkness over the whole land bringing the morning and the evening sacrifice together in Yahusha who is the lamb that was slain. The two fold pattern is Mashiyach representing as the morning and evening lamb.
Lu 23:44 ¶ And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
Arab: Evening
The word ‘’árab’’ which means ‘’evening’’ also is translated as ‘’arab Pesach & arab Shabbath’’ in John 19:31
John 19:31 Therefore, since it was the Preparation/arab Shabbat, that the bodies should not remain on the stake on the Sabbath – for that Sabbath was a high one – the Yehuḏim asked Pilate to have their legs broken, and that they be taken away.
The word usage as ‘arab Shabbat’ shows a deep spiritual meaning here because the physical Shabbat was being exchanged/bartered for the spiritual who is Mashiyach himself. HalalUYah.
John 19:14 Now it was the preparation/arab Passover/Pescah; it was about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews, Behold, your King!
The same word ‘arab’ is used before Pesach/Passover which shows us the exchange/barter for the true lamb of Alahym our Yahusha ha Mashiyach against a literal lamb/sheep/heifer/bull offering. Again, here they translated the word ‘arab’ as ‘Preparation’ as the Yahudi’s had to select a lamb without blemish, unspotted, perfect for the offering. Our unblemished, unspotted and perfect lamb is Yahusha ha Mashiyach who gave himself for us.
Zec 14:5 And you shall flee to the valley of My mountain – for the valley of the mountains reaches to Atsal. And you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziyah sovereign of Yehuḏah. And יהוה my Elohim shall come – all the set-apart ones with You.
Zec 14:6 And in that day it shall be: there is no light, it is dark.
Zec 14:7 And it shall be one day which is known to יהוה, neither day nor night, but at evening/arab H6153 time there shall be light.
Speaking of the Day of Yahuah, ZakharYah says it will be akhad/one day known unto Yahuah which will neither be day nor night but at arab/evening there will be light.
The physical fulfillment happened when Yahusha hung on the stake when the darkness came over the whole earth thus bringing the morning and evening sacrifice together. The akhad/one day known unto Yahuah is prophetic fulfillment of when Yahuah said when Adam and Chauah sinned that man is become one of us to know good and evil as he hung on the stake taking our sin upon himself.
Gen 3:22 And יהוה Elohim said, “See, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever...”
The appearance of the above text seems as though Yahuah knew good and evil before man did and this is because Yahusha is the ‘bakur/firstfruits’ over all creation. Being the firstfruits and the alaph tau he is before creation and after creation. He is before all things and by him all things consist. He is also called as the last Adam.
Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible the Elohim, the firstfruits/bakur of all creation.
The word for morning is ‘baqar H1242’ and is closely related to ‘bakar H1061’ which means firstfruits. In both these words there is the ‘bar’ which means ‘Son’ and the ‘bar’ is on the horizon/quph in ‘baqar’ calling/qar while the ‘bar’ is being kar/dug or slain as the ram/kar as kar means to dig/hollow/ram/lamb (Please see Strong’s H3733).
The word ‘’arab’’ used for evening shows the divine exchange for the unblemished lamb, without spot or wrinkle for us who are lame/blemished and spotted.
Thus the lamb offered in the morning/baqar is the ‘Son/Bar who calls/qar’ out of his sacrifice to come to him and in the evening/arab he exchanges/arab himself on our behalf to bring forth LIGHT. This is what we see spiritually in a spiritual comparison between Zech 14:7 and the Exo 29: 39 passages.
The word for ‘’óne-tenth’’ is ‘’asharun H6241’’ which is a portion of the ‘’áshar’’ which means ten. The Abary word ‘’áshar’’ H6238 also means to be rich עָשַׁר
Hence the rich/ashar/ten is Mashiyach of whom the portions show ‘’partly’’ just as Shaul says that we know in part and prophesy in part but when that which is ‘tamyam/wholess’ is come then that which is in part shall be inactive. They translated ‘tamyam’ as perfect whereas ‘tam’ means ‘’whole/complete’’
1Co 13:9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part.
1Co 13:10 But when that which is wholeness/tamyam has come, then that which is in part shall be inactive.
The ‘’asharun/one-tenth’’ of fine flour/salat H5560
Salat H550: has the root word ‘Sal/Salah’ which means to ‘’Lift’’
Num 20:8 “Take the rod and assemble the congregation, you and your brother Aharon. And you shall speak to the rock/sala H553 before their eyes, and it shall give its water. And you shall bring water for them out of the rock and give drink to the congregation and their livestock.”
Psa 18:2 יהוה is my rock/sala H553 and my stronghold and my deliverer; My Ěl is my rock, I take refuge in Him; My shield and the horn of my deliverance, my high tower.
The word ‘rock’ also has the root word ‘’sal’’ which means ‘’lift’’ and Yahuah shows us that in the ‘salat/fine flour’’ he is mingled to lift/sal us in the tau/covenant. The Psalms also has the word ‘Selah’ which has the same root word ‘’salah’’ which means to lift.
Psa 3:2 Many are saying of me, “There is no deliverance for him in Elohim.” Selah H5542. סֶלָה
The word ‘balal H1101’ has the root words ‘bal’ which means ‘’nothing’’ and ‘’lal’’ which is a root word in layla which means night. That which was mixed is ‘’dark’’ but will eventually at evening/arab there will be light as the exchange/arab of Yahusha the true unblemished and unspotted lamb for us blemished & spotted will make us whole/complete.
The word ‘’one-fourth’’ is the Abary word ‘’raba H7253’’ רֶבַע
‘raba’ has the root word ‘rab’ which means ruler/master as we call Yahusha our ‘Master/Rab’’. It also has the root word ‘ra’ which means ‘’shepherd/friend’’ and the root word ‘’ba’’ which means ‘’spring/swell’’
The master who is our shepherd and friend and our spring is concealed and hidden the square/four- raba as the 4 besorah/gospels, the 4 faces of the living creatures, 4 winds of the earth, 4 ends of the earth etc all bring him through the pattern which is intertwined and opened thread by thread as 4, 3,2 & 1-He is in it all as the WITNESS.
The one-tenth/asharun of shalat/fine flour is being mixed/balal with one-fourth/raba of hahin/hin H1969 of crushed/Katyat H3795 oil, and one-fourth/rabayath H72453 of a hin/hahyan H1969 of wine for a drink offering /nasak H5262 with one lamb
The word ‘’hayan’’ H1969 has the root word ‘han’ which means ‘’look here’’ and ‘’yan’’ which means ‘’wine’’. Hayan also means ‘’wealth’’
Hayan is an OT measurement to measure out the drink offering portions.
It’s amazing to see that in both places in Exo 29:40 the word ‘hayan’ has another ‘ha’ before it and is written as ‘’hahayan’’. The letter ‘’ha’’ is the window and the two ‘’ha’’ shows the window in a window from which the yan/wine comes through. The heavenly/spiritual window in the earthy/carnal window through which the rab/master who is our ra/shepherd springs/ba forth as the crushed/katyat shaman/oil. The word ‘kat’ in ‘’Katyat’’ means ‘’crushed’’ and ‘’yat’’ is the hand covenant. The invisible hand crushes the oil and pours it through the window through a window down to us. The same invisible hand pours out the wine/yan which represents the Ruach in the letter through the window with the akhad lamb. The word used for ‘’drink offering’’ is ‘’nasak’’ H5262.
Aah I smell the sweet fragrance of Mashiyach. This word ‘nasak’ has the root word ‘sak’ which means ‘’booth’’
The nun is the seed in ‘nasak’’ which covers/sak or suk us as a ‘’booth’’.
All this was offered with the one lamb as a daily offering in the morning.
Now the offerings along with the lamb in the evening:
Ex 29:41 The other lamb you shall offer between the evenings/arab H6153, you shall make to it as the meat offering/mankhah H4503 of the morning, and as its drink offering/nasak H5262, for a sweet/naykuk H 5207 fragrance/rayakh H7381, by a fire offering/ashah H801 to Yahuah.
The meat offering/mankah H4503 has the root word ‘makh’ which means ‘’fat/marrow’’
It also has the root word ‘’man’’ which means ‘’portion/manna’’ and KJV translates this word as ‘meat offering’’ because it has the fat/marrow.
Mankhah: it also has the root word ‘manukh’’ which means ‘’rest’’
The ’’mankah’’ was to be prepared in the morning with the lamb of the morning as well as the lamb of the evening according to the nasak/ drink offering (nun-seed sak-cover or booth) for a sweet/naykuk H5207 fragrance/rayakh H7381 by a fire offering/ashah H801 to Yahuah.
The word for ‘’sweet’’ is ‘’naykuk H5207 ‘’נִיחוֹחַ
This word has the root word ‘’nak’’ which means ‘’crushed spice’’ and ‘’nakak’’ means the sweet smell of spices.
The man or manah/portion of the marrow/mak along with the lamb and the nasak/drink offering was the smell of crushed spices which was a sweet fragrance/rayak H7381…
The word ‘’rayakh’’ has the root word ‘’rakh’’ which means ‘’travel’’ and the ‘’ruach’’ which means ‘’spirit. Without the ‘’ruakh’’ there is no fragrance. The word ‘’moon’’ is the Abary word ‘’yarakh H3394’’יָרֵחַ
Psa 89:35 “Once I have sworn by My set-apartness, I do not lie to Dawiḏ:
Psa 89:36 “His seed shall be forever, And his throne as the sun before Me;
Psa 89:37 “Like the moon H3394, it is established forever, And the witness in the heaven is steadfast.” Selah.
The moon was set as a witness in the heavens steadfast as a promise to the seed of Daud that his seed will be established forever. Yahuah also set the moon for his appointed times.
Ps 104:19 ¶ He appointed the moon H3394 for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.
While the word ‘’ýarakh’’ which means moon shows the ya/yod/hand in ‘rakh/travel’ the word ‘’rayakh’’ shows the ‘’same travel upwards’’.
2Cor2:15 For we are a fragrance/rayakh of the Mashiyach to Elohim among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;
2Cor2:16 to the one an aroma/rayakh from death to death, to the other an aroma/rayakh from life to life. And who is adequate for these things?
Exodus 29:41…… by a fire offering/ashah H801 to Yahuah.
The word H801 ‘’áshah’’ translated as ‘’fire offering’’ is the same spelling as H802 which means ‘’wife’’אִשָּׁה
We see the beautiful picture of the bride/wife-ashah is being offered as an ascending sweet fragrance offering through our husband Yahusha who is our lamb.
Ex 29:42 It shall be a continual/tamyad H8548 burnt offering/alah H5930 throughout your generations at the doorway/patakh H6607 of the tent of appointment/muad H4150 before Yahuah, where I shall meet with you, to speak to you there.
The word ‘’tamyad’’ has the root words ‘’tam’’ which means ‘’whole’’ and ‘’yad’’ which means ‘’hand’’
Tam: Whole
Yad: Hand
While the priest would offer this whole by his hand, behind the letter was the invisible hand of Yahuah offering the whole i.e. himself for us.
The offering was to be throughout all generations at the doorway/patakh of the ahal/tent of muad/appointment from where Yahuah himself will speak and Yahusha is the door, Yahuah manifested in the flesh.
HalalUYah. The Torah witnesses the beauty of our Savior in the offerings. Without understanding the spirit/ruakh in the letter/saphar one will only be making merchandise of the offerings of Yahuah which were fulfilled in Mashiyach.
Rev 18:11 And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn over her/Mystery Babal, because no one buys their cargoes any more
Rev 18:12 cargoes of gold and silver and precious stones and pearls and fine linen and purple and silk and scarlet, and every kind of citron wood and every article of ivory and every article made from very costly wood and bronze and iron and marble,
Rev 18:13 and cinnamon and spice and incense and perfume and frankincense and wine and olive oil and fine flour and wheat and cattle and sheep, and cargoes of horses and chariots and servants and souls of men.
The word ‘balal’ which we saw translated as ‘’mixed’’ is the root word in ‘’babal’’ and if the ‘’ruakh’’ is not mixed in the offering then one lands up with just a carnal/fleshly witness and a carnal mind is enmity with Yahuah. While we the elect were once in the dark mixing our outcome in Mashiyach will be LIGHT. HalalUYah.
