The Abarayt word 'Talmyad' which is translated as 'Disciple' comes from three words 'tal' which means 'rope' and 'mad/mud' which means 'length/measure' and 'yad' which means 'hand'
'Rope measured by hand'
The word 'Tal' is masculine and comes from the feminine root 'talah' H8518 which means 'hang'
The two greatest commands are to Love Yahuah with all your heart, soul & mind and the second to love your neighbour as yourself...on these two commands HANG (Tal/Rope of Yah) the Turah and the Prophets . The word 'taluYah' shows a continuity in Yahuah.
The word 'talay' H8522 means 'quiver' Quiver means a hanging on a shoulder in which all weapons are kept like arrows when going to war
Gen 27:3 Now therefore take, I pray you, your weapons, your quiver/talay H8522 and your bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison;
Gen 27:4 And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may barak you before I die.
The 'ha' at the end of 'talay' makes it feminine and shows us a spiritual meaning 'tal/rope' 'talay/quiver' 'Yah/Yahuah' 'ha/her' (Hanging of weaponry of Yah for her)
Joh 8:31 Then said YAHUSHA to those Yahudiym which believed on him, If ye continue in my word/dabaray, then are ye my Talmidiym indeed;
Joh 8:32 And ye shall know את eth the Truth (Tehilliym 119:142), and the Truth shall make you free.
The Jewish Talmud consists of oral law, history and fables....they use the word 'Talmud' which means the same thing tal/rope mud/measure. The Talmud is a disciple. They are disciples of Hagar who are in bondage with HER children.
The greatest fight we have is with the FLESH
2Co 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly/basar, but mighty through YAH to the pulling down of strongholds;)
If we are wholly measured (tamad) in His Dabar we will be his talmyad (Rope measured by his hand)
Shalum!!!!
