Casting of the Seven Demons

Luke 8:2 and women who were healed from evil spirits and from sicknesses: Miryam who was from Magdala, from whom seven demons had driven out,

Mark16:9 But when He rose from the dead on the one of the Shabbat, He appeared first to Miriyam who was from Magdala, from whom He had cast out seven demons.

Twice in the basharah its recorded of Miryam who was from Magdala from whom Yahusha had cast out seven demons. While we bypass the texts through plain reading, we must understand that nothing is recorded just like that in scriptures. There is a spiritual truth hidden in understanding these scriptures. After all Miryam was a prominent believer in Yahusha ha Mashiyach as she was among the women who ministered to him in Galil & stood at the stake while he hung being nailed to it (Matt 27:56, Mark 15:40-41 & John 19:25), she was among the women who came to the tomb to anoint the body of Mashiyach with spices (Mark 16:1), she was the FIRST to witness the resurrection of Yahusha ha Mashiyach and to hear His voice (Mark 16:9) & she was among the women who testified to the emissaries that the Master is risen (Luke 24:9-10).

So, let's begin by first looking at the geographical location of Magdala.

Magdala was to the west of the sea of Galil/Kinnereth where Matthew records as Magdala and Mark records it as Dalmanutha.

Mar 8:8 And they ate and were satisfied, and they picked up seven large baskets of broken pieces.
Mar 8:9 And those eating were about four thousand, and He dismissed them.
Mar 8:10 And immediately entering into the ship with His taught ones, He came to the parts of Dalmanutha/Magdala

Mat 15:37 And all ate and were satisfied, and they picked up what was left over of the broken pieces – seven large baskets, filled.
Mat 15:38 And those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children.
Mat 15:39 And dismissing the crowd, He went into the boat, and came to the borders of Maḡdala.

Magdal מגדל/Migdal: Means Tower. It has the root word gadal גדל which means '‘increase/lift up/magnify’'

Speaking of Mashiyach Yahuchanan the Immerser said

John 3:30 “He shall go on increasing/yagadal, and increasing/gadal, and I shall go on diminishing and diminshing.”

Mem as a prefix in Hebrew means 'from/of/out of'. Hence, the picture of 'magdal' is 'from the increase/gadal'

Yahusha is the TOWER/MAGDAL, the increase who from within the depths of Aluahym took on flesh and blood by being born through a womb. The Mem is also a picture of water and blood which are elements of the womb.

Gen 11:4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower/Migdal מגדל H4026, whose top may reach unto the heavens; and let us make us a name/sham H8034, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

The tower reaching heaven was to make a name for themselves. There can be only one Tower/Migdal or Magdal and that is the name of Yahuah magnified in the person of Yahusha (as we saw the word magdal shows: from the increase), HE will increase shows a transition path He took from being in a lowly form in Humanity to the Supernatural Being in the New Creation as the One True Aluahym being face to face with His creation. When Yahuchanan the Immerser who was a Tsadok priest (Levite) said "He must increase and I must decrease", he was making way to the Malchitsedeq priest who was after the order of Yahuah.

Prov 18:10 The name/sham of Yahuah is a strong tower/migdal מגדל; the righteous runs into it and is safe.

The rebellious man wants a name to himself and not to His creator.

Casting of the seven demons' significance:

Speaking of those asking a sign from Him to prove who He is, Yahusha spoke of the present adulterous generation, whom the people of Nineveh who repented and Queen of Teyman who came to hear the wisdom of Shelemoh, will condemn them in the resurrection and compared it to the unclean spirit bringing in seven more unclean spirits than itself.

Matt 12:41 “Men of Nineweh shall stand up with this generation in the judgment, and shall condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Yonah. and behold! One greater than Yonah is here.
Matt 12:42 “The Queen of Teyman shall rise up with this generation at the judgment and shall condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Shelomoh. But behold! One greater than Shelomoh is here.
Matt 12:43 “The impure spirit, after leaving out of a man, wanders through dry places seeking a place to rest, but does not find it.”
Matt 12:44 “Then it says, ‘I shall return to my house which I came from there.’ and it comes and finds it empty, swept, and garnished.
Matt 12:45 “Afterward, it goes out and takes with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they come and live there, and the end of that man is worse than his beginning. So, it shall also be for this evil generation.

We may have read these scriptures so many times but with a plain reading. Unless we understand the perspective of the evil and adulterous generation of Yasharal in a depraved state, depicted as a house where the unclean spirit returns with seven other more wicked spirits than itself, we will never be able to understand the true intended meaning.

Deut7:1 When Yahuah your El brings you into the land where you are entering to possess it, and clears away many nations from before your faces, the Chittites and the Girgashites and the Emorites and the Kanaanites and the Perizzites and the Chiuites and the Yebusites, seven nations greater and stronger than you,

Deut7:2 and when Yahuah your El delivers them before your faces and you defeat them, then you shall utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them nor show favor to them.

Yahuah told Yasharal that he will enable them to drive out 7 nations greater and stronger than them to enable Yasharal occupy the promised land. These 7 nations had the unclean spirits & He commanded them not to make a covenant with them nor show favor to them.

Jud2:20 So the anger of Yahuah burned against Yisra’El, and He said, because this nation has transgressed My covenant which I commanded their fathers and has not listened to My voice,
Jud2:21 I also shall no longer drive out before them any of the nations which Yahushua left when he died.
Jud2:22 in order to test Yisra’El by them, whether they shall keep the way of Yahuah  to walk in it as their fathers did, or no
Jud2:23 So Yahuah left those nations, without quickly driving them out; and He did not give them into the hand of Yahushua.

If you notice, this is how the unclean spirit denoted by 1 in Matthew 12:43 as 'The impure spirit' הרוח הטמאה was left behind as a testing program whether they shall keep the way of Yahuah to walk in it as their fathers did or not. This unclean ruach goes to dry places in search of the 7 more unclean spirits than itself and comes back to see the house 'empty, swept and garnished/adorned'

The land had its Shemitah from Yahuah where after occupying it Yasharal sowed for 6 years, and the 7th year was a Shabbath for the land (Lev 25). The cycles of Shemitah went on jubilees on jubilees (7 x 7 +1) but Yasharal never understood the intent of them served Yahuah in the pagan unclean way and hence the house is portrayed as 'empty, swept and garnished'. What happens in a harvest?

Rut2:15 When she rose to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not reproach her.
Rut2:16 Also let it fall also some of the handfuls of purpose for her, and leave them, that she may glean them and rebuke her not.
Rut2:17 So she gleaned in the field until evening. Then she beat out what she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barley.

We can understand from the book of Ruth that when harvesting is done, some of the sheaves when made into bundles fell off and Boaz told his young men to allow Ruth to glean among the sheaves i.e. the grains which fell on the ground when bundling into stacks. Here, speaking of the house which was 'empty, swept and garnished' of the adulterous generation, the condition of the house of Yahudah was in desolation. In harvest they had no place for the poor of the land to glean. Obviously, these are spiritual things and need spiritual discernment, the truth of the matter was that there was nothing to gather from her spiritually as she had become totally bankrupt of the Torah of life. The grain speaks of nourishment which was missing as the house was empty, swept and garnished.

Mystery Babylon was living inside the shabbath of the land as the unclean spirit. Yasharal was influenced by 7 evil rulers who came against her as a judgement, and they are 1. Egypt 2. Assyria 3. Babel 4. Medes Persia 5. Greece 6. Rome & 7. pagan nations (where she is driven). When Yahuchanan (John) was writing revelation 5 of them were fallen and Rome (6th) was ruling and one was yet to come i.e. referring to Yasharal among pagan nations. Then it says the BEAST THAT WAS AND IS NOT, EVEN HE IS THE EIGHTH AND OF THE SEVEN. The beast is in reference to a kingdom which existed, and we decode it from the Matthew 12 'the unclean ruach' הרוח הטמאה who brings the 7 more unclean and evil spirits along with it (eighth is of the seven) and the condition of the man/adam (carnal) is worse than the beginning.

Rev 17:9 Here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads/harashayam are seven mountains where the woman sits/ya shabath ישבת on them,
Rev17:10 and they are seven kings; five of them have fallen, there is one, the other has not yet come; and it comes to pass when he comes, it is necessary to remain a little while
Rev17:11 And the beast that was and is not, even he is the eighth of the seven, and he goes to destruction.

Galil was the place  where Yahusha fed near Magdala , the 4,000 and the remaining left over of the bread were 7 baskets. (Mark 8:8-10 & Matthew 15: 37-39). Number 4 in scripture speaks of universal where Yasharal is scattered to the 4 ends of the earth and the seven baskets with pieces of bread in it shows that Yahusha reaches out to feed His remnant scattered as the Shemitah denoted by the number 7. The casting of the 7 evil spirits from Mary from Magdala shows that its only Yahusha who can deliver as He is the 'Migdal: out of the increase' to feed His people in the rest from the Shemitah cycles of work.

Shatan sits through his kingdom Mystery Babylon on the seven appointed times of Yahuah, taking everyone occupied in the letter/aut in fleshly things to kill them. Miriam Magdalith turning to Yahusha ha Mashiyach and being delivered is a picture of transition from the letter which kills to the Ruach which gives life even when being in pagan lands. Magdala was in Galil of the Gentiles and looked down upon by the Yahudim and here was Mashiyach delivering His people from the unclean ruach/s.

Yahusha is portrayed in scripture as having the SEVEN RUACH OF ALUAHYM. While the term in itself shows the omnipresence of Yahusha in the New Creation, the seven stars (kiymah & keysil) in his hand show that He is the creator of the constellations. (For details please refer to my note : The Kiymah and Keysil mystery' on my blog)

Rev3:1 “And to the messenger of the assembly in Sardis write, these things say he who has the seven Spirits of the Elohim and the seven stars, I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.”

Rev5:6 And I saw, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders stood a Lamb as if it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, in which they are the seven Spirits of the Elohim, sent out into all the earth.

The scroll of Revelation is full of imagery and the seven horns depict the Sovereignty of the Lamb over the seven unclean ruach in giving strength to His remnant, the seven eyes are revelation of Himself by which He enables His people to see. These are the Seven Spirits of Aluahym sent out into all the earth where His people are.

The seven seals opened show that spiral view of judgement on carnal Yasharal trapped inside it while the remnant are released from it.

Ecc11:2 Give a portion to seven, or even to eight, for you do not know what evil shall be upon the earth.

Job5:19 From six troubles He shall deliver you, even in seven evil shall not touch you
