(22:1 in Heb.) lam’natseach `al-‘Ayeleth Hashachar miz’mor l’Dawid. A Cry of Anguish and a Song of Praise.
For the/lam chief musician/natseach; upon the hind/ayalath of the dawn/ha shachar. A Psalm of Dawid.
2Ch 29:30 And Sovereign Ḥizqiyahu and the rulers ordered the Lĕwites to sing praise to יהוה with the words of Dawiḏ and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshipped.
Now an overseer is not the recipient of worship just as the overseers in the assemblies in the Brit Chadashah were not owners of the assembly but servants of the assembly in guarding the flock against wolves. Similarly, Asaph as an overseer was guarding the ministry of overseeing the melody and praises to Yahuah in the way it was revealed to the singer/musician attending before the ark.
The Overseer and bishop of our souls is Mashiyach who is the Adonay and through his name the psalms, hyms and spiritual songs melody ascends.
Eph 5:19 speaking to one another in psalms/tahaluth and hymns/tashbachut and spiritual/ruachnayuth songs/shayaryuth, singing and making melody/zamru with your heart to my Master/Adonay;
Eph 5:20 always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Master Yahusha the Mashiyach to Elohim, and our Father;
The renewed covenant came written on our hearts and hence Shaul the emissary says to make the melody/zamar with our heart to Yahusha our Adonay. This clearly shows the object of our worship is Yahusha and through him the tahalayam/Psalms automatically ascends to Alahym.
1Co 1:2 to the assembly of Elohim which is at Corinth, to those who are set-apart in Messiah יהושע, called set-apart ones, with all those calling on the Name of יהושע Messiah our Master/Adoneynu in every place, theirs and ours
Asaph the natsach/overseer stood as a shadow of Mashiyach (who is the melody and the recipient of our worship)
The Hebrew word translated as Hind/Deer is אילה H355 which is feminine of the male deer or hart Ayal/ איל H354. The hind is feminine and depicts the relationship with the Master who is the the ayal.
The Hebrew word 'shachar שחר H7837' means 'dawn' and also means 'to peer into the dim light of morning' (H7835 & H7836)
The word al על H5921 translated as 'upon' is actually an elevation and is translated as 'above/upon/on/over'. It is a root word in 'maylah' which means 'ascent'. There are various Psalms as 'Songs of ascents/maylah'
Hence, Psalms 22:1 begins with 'belonging (lam) to the overseer (natseach) above (ayl)' who is Mashiyach. The hind/ayalath seeking early/shachar is the female/bride of Yahusha to be enjoined to Mashiyach in the cry which we will see in a bit.
Ps 42:1 As the deer/hart איל H354 pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, O Elohim.
The 'ayal איל H354 ' male panted for the water brooks as a shadow of the soul panting for Aluahym, the 'ayalah אילה H355' female 'sought her 'ayal איל H354 ' male in the dim light' is the picture.
Pslams 22:1 is an extract from the prophetic words of Yahusha Ha Mashiyach
1. (22:2 in Heb.) ‘Eli ‘Eli lamah azab’tani rachoq mishuathi dib’rey sha’agathi.The word they have translated as why is lamah which again actually means 'belonging'.
The root words in shabaqtani are:
Shab is Turn around.
Shabaq- Left alone.
We have the Ezra texts in Aramaic and the word 'shabaq' is translated here as 'Leave alone'. The letter of Cyrus to the governor Tattenay, Shethar-Bozenay, their officials & colleagues beyond the river are told to 'leave alone' the work of this house to the governor of the Yahudim and the elders of the Yahudim who are to build this house. Hence, positionally the governor of Medes Persia and his officials were to carry out the work but it's switched to the governor of Yahudim and their elders.
Ezra 6:6 Now therefore, Tattenay, governor of the province beyond the river, Shethar-Bozenay and your colleagues, the officials of the provinces who are beyond the river, be you far from there.
Ezra 6:7 Leave alone/shabaq the work on this house of the Elohim, let the governor of the Yahudim and the elders of the Yahudim build this house of the Elohim on his place.
The cry of Mashiyach has a deep breath of the Ruach.
Shabaq /Turned away for long or left me here for a long time.
The Armaic Peshitta uses the same word 'shabaqtani' in Luke 10:40, the Hebrew translation uses the word 'azabtani'
Luke10:40 Martha was worn out by serving so much, so she approached Him and said, “My Adon, do You not place it on your heart, that my sister has left me (Aramaic: shabaqtani, Hebrew: azabtani) to serve alone? Please tell her to lend me some support.”
azabtani: azab עזב H5800 is usually used as when one leaves family or house behind.
Matt19:29 “And any man who has left behind/azab houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for My name’s sake, he shall receive a hundred times, and shall inherit eternal life.”
Mark 10:29 And Yahusha answered and said, “Truly, I say to you that there is no one who has left behind/azab his house or his brothers or his sisters or his father or his mother or his wife or his children or his fields, for My sake and for the sake of the good news”
Mark13:34 “It shall be like a man going on a journey who left/azab his house and gave his servants authority over each one his work, and he commanded the gatekeeper to be alert.
Luke18:29 And He said to them, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left behind/azab his house or his fathers or his brothers or his wife or his sons for the sake of the kingdom of the Elohim,”
Martha was complaining that her sister Maryam left her alone to do the household chores while she sat at the feet of the Adon.
Looking at the usage of both the words 'shabaqtani' & 'azabtani', In simple words, we see Yahuah is seen leaving one position to attain another. The bride was divorced by Yahuah by decree and hence, 'she is left alone to her destiny’ and is represented by the word 'shabaqtani' It’s like saying “Why have you left me alone?”with the manner;
Num 5:14 And the ruach/spirit H7307 of jealousy/qanah H7068 come upon him, and he be jealous of את eth-his woman, and she be defiled: or if the ruach (spirit) of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of את eth-his woman, and she be not defiled:
Num 5:15 Then shall the man bring את eth-his woman unto the priest, and he shall bring את eth-her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.
Num 5:16 And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before YAHUAH:
Num 5:17 And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is in the floor of the Tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water:
Num 5:18 And the priest shall set את eth-the woman before YAHUAH, and uncover את eth-the woman's head, and put את eth the offering of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causes the curse:
Num 5:19 And the priest shall charge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain with you, and if you have not gone aside to uncleanness with another instead of your man, be free from this bitter water that causes the curse:
Num 5:20 But את eth if you have gone aside to another instead of your man, and if you be defiled, and some man have lain את eth-with you beside your man:
Num 5:21 Then the priest shall charge את eth-the woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, YAHUAH make you a curse and an oath among your people, when YAHUAH makes את eth-your thigh/yarak H3409 to rot, and את eth-your belly to swell;
Num 5:22 And this water that causes the curse shall go into your bowels, to make your belly to swell, and your thigh/yarak H3409 to rot: And the woman shall say, Amein, Amein.
The Torah portion says If man with a ruach/spirit of jealousy suspects his wife of adultery, he would bring her to the priest with an offering and the priest would put her under an oath of curse and make her drink the bitter water that causes the curse which would make her belly swell and her yarak/thigh to rot if she had committed adultery. The woman in spiritual adultery was Yasharal who whored away from Yahuah. We have scripture recording that Yahusha took the ruach of qanah/jealously of His wife upon Himself
Mark 15:10 For he (Pilate) knew that it was only out of their jealousy/qanah that the chief priests had handed Him over.
He was made to drink the bitter water of curse instead of us. We have Matthew recording that before he was impaled, they offered him vinegar mingled with gall and he would not drink.
Mat 27:33 And when they were come unto a place called Gulgoleth, that is to say, a place of a skull,
Mat 27:35 And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled את eth which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots. (Tehilliym 22:18)
And when he was impaled and in the final hours of his sacrifice, He called out to Aluahym ''Alay Alay lamah shabaqtani'' and he was offered the vinegar again, while Matthew still doesn't record of Mashiyach having the bitter water, we have Yahuchanan in his basharah recording Him saying '' I thirst'' to fulfill scripture. Which scripture? It's the bitter water of jealousy Torah portion He fulfilled, by taking his wife's spirit of jealously upon Himself. For Yahuah had said that He is an Aluahym of jealousy.
Mat 27:48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.
Joh 19:29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
Joh 19:30 When YAHUSHA therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up his ruach (spirit).
Zec 8:1 And the word of יהוה of hosts came, saying,
Yahusha's belly didn't swell nor his thigh rot for He endured the ruach of jealously/qanah on Himself and the woman was found innocent in Him for we were quickened together with Him in His death. The woman was already saved in childbearing as she had brought forth the man child Mashiyach. Chauah/Eve was the mother of all living and was a type of the wife of Mashiyach. Positionally, we see Yahusha switched sides to buy back His bride in enduring everything she was to endure as a punishment for her adultery.
Both these cries are on behalf of the wife and the second word azabtani is like saying " I have left behind everything to enjoin with you". Remember Yasharal was divorced and Yahusha came to buy her back. Shaul speaks of this in detail in Romans 7.
