This study is a spiritual insight into understanding the parables in which the Master/Ruler is giving his servants talents/mina's to trade and gather more. While the fleshly will see contradictions in both the parables those who are spiritually minded will overcome the first blush to see the deep spiritual things hidden in this one parable told differently at two different locations.
Matthew records this parable among the Olivet discourse where he tells them the events surrounding the end times
Mat 24:3 And as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the taught ones came to Him separately, saying, “Say to us, when shall this be, and what is the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
From hereon you can read all the events of the end times and the parables which Mashiyach told right until the end of Matthew Chp 25.
The Luke discourse was at the house of Zakkai which was on the pass through Yericho nearer to Yerushalam
Luk 19:1 And having entered, He was passing through Yeriḥo.
Luk 19:2 And see, a man called Zakkai! And he was a chief tax collector, and he was rich,
Luk 19:8 But Zakkai stood up and said to the Master, “Look, Master, I give half of my possessions to the poor. And if I have taken whatever from anyone by false accusation, I repay fourfold.”
Luk 19:9 And יהושע said to him, “Today deliverance has come to this house – since he also is a son of Aḇraham.
Luk 19:10 “For the Son of Aḏam has come to seek and to save what was lost.”
Luk 19:11 And as they were hearing this, He spoke another parable, because He was near Yerushalayim and they thought the reign of Elohim was about to be manifested straightaway.
Yerushalam to Yericho was approximately 18 miles by road (25 km)...we don't know how far Zakki's house was from Yerushalam but the Luke discourse of the parable was told at his house.
Both the parables have different things stated in them and the question arises why did Yahusha tell the parable differently at two different locations? This is a mystery which needs to be seen by joining both the parables together.
The parable of Matthew has the trading element as kikar H3603/talents and the one in Luke has maneh or mina/H4488
The word kikar/kaph kaph resh comes from the root kar which means round like a bowl, like a country, like a round loaf of bread
And the word maneh/mina translated as pound has also a similar spelling word manah which means 'number, prepare, appoint, tell, count, set'
So when we see both the words together we see a picture of a country with the numbered/counted people in it. And that country is Yasharal and this needs spiritual discernment. First let's list both the parable accounts together and dig into them to see the beautiful picture.
Why do we add the accounts of both the parables mentioned in Matthew and Luke?
I have shared this before we must understand that the 4 basarah's /gospels are like the four faces of the cherubs which Ezekiel saw. They are also like the four rivers that flowed from Eden from one source. If you recollect the way to the tree of life was guarded by two cherubs which Yahuah placed at the two posts with the flaming sword which turned every way. The cherubs in two were in many places in the OT heykal/temple.
Examples: on the ark of the covenant overshadowing the mercy seat (Exo 25:20), two faces of cherub (man and lion) on the inner walls of the Most set-apart place so that the face of a man was toward the palm tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side (Ezekiel 41:19)
The four faces of the cherubs seen by Ezekiel is a reflection of who Mashiyach is? He is typified as the Angel of Yahuah who appeared in OT times (Yahuah rode on a cherub Psalms 18:10), he is the Son of Man who came in the likeness of man to pay the price for his sins, He is the Lion of Yahudah who overcame and he is the Eagle who devours its prey and at the same time on eagle’s wings brings his people unto himself (Exo 19:4, Deut 32:11). The Rock that followed them was Mashiyach (1 Corin 10:4). We don't have time to look at all scriptures but the ones mentioned is enough for a testimony of Yahusha.
The two cherubs with two faces with each face facing the palm tree on the wall depict a twofold witness to Mashiyach and the four cherubs with the four wheels (each cherub by one wheel) each having four faces represent the four basarah's and the imagery of Mashiyach portrayed through the basarah's. The Abary word for ‘wheel’ is ‘apan’ H212 and has the root word ‘pan’ which means ‘face’. The wheel in the midst of the wheel had the face of Mashiyach hidden in the basarah’s.
Eze 10:9 And when I looked, behold the four wheels by the cherubims, one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel by another cherub: and the appearance of the wheels was as the colour of a beryl stone.
10 And as for their appearances, they four had one likeness, as if a wheel had been in the midst of a wheel.
Hence if an account is mentioned in all 4 basarah's we must reconcile all the events mentioned to see the beautiful picture or if it's mentioned two times in different basarah's (as we are discussing in this study looking at both the parables) then we reconcile both the events to see the two fold witness.
The Matthew discourse:
Mat 25:14 for it is like a man going from home, who called his own servants and delivered his possessions to them.
Mat 25:15 “And to one he gave five talents, and to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability, and went from home.
Mat 25:16 “And he who had received the five talents went and worked with them, and made another five talents.
Mat 25:17 “In the same way, he with the two also, he gained two more.
Mat 25:18 “But he who had received the one went away and dug in the ground, and hid the silver of his master.
Mat 25:19 “And after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them.
Mat 25:20 “And he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Master, you delivered to me five talents. See, I have gained five more talents besides them.’
Mat 25:21 “And his master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy servant. You were trustworthy over a little, I shall set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’
Mat 25:22 “Then he who had received two talents came and said, ‘Master, you delivered to me two talents. See, I have gained two more talents besides them.’
Mat 25:23 “His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy servant. You were trustworthy over a little, I shall set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’
Mat 25:24 “And the one who had received the one talent also came and said, ‘Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed,
Mat 25:25 and being afraid, I went and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.’
Mat 25:26 “And his master answering, said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.
Mat 25:27 ‘Then you should have put my silver with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest.
Mat 25:28 ‘Therefore take away the talent from him, and give it to him who possesses ten talents.
Mat 25:29 ‘For to everyone who possesses, more shall be given, and he shall have overflowingly; but from him who does not possess, even what he possesses shall be taken away.
Mat 25:30 ‘And throw the worthless servant out into the outer darkness – there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
The Luke discourse:
Luk 19:11 And as they were hearing this, He spoke another parable, because He was near Yerushalayim and they thought the reign of Elohim was about to be manifested straightaway.
Luk 19:12 He therefore said, “A certain nobleman went to a distant country to receive for himself a reign and to return.
Luk 19:13 “And calling ten of his servants, He gave them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Trade until I come.’
Luk 19:14 “But his subjects were hating him, and sent a delegation after him, to say, ‘We do not wish this one to reign over us.’
Luk 19:15 “And it came to be, when he came back, having received the reign, that he sent for these servants to whom he had given the silver, in order to know what each had gained by trading.
Luk 19:16 “And the first came, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned ten minas.’
Luk 19:17 “And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant. Because you were trustworthy in a small matter, have authority over ten cities.’
Luk 19:18 “And the second came, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned five minas.’
Luk 19:19 “And he said to him also, ‘And you – be over five cities.’
Luk 19:20 “And another came, saying, ‘Master, here is your mina, which I kept laid up in a head cloth/sudar.
Luk 19:21 ‘For I was afraid of you, because you are a hard man. You take up what you did not lay down, and reap what you did not sow.’
Luk 19:22 “And he said to him, ‘Out of your own mouth I shall judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was a hard man, taking up what I did not lay down and reaping what I did not sow.
Luk 19:23 ‘Why did you not put the silver in the bank, that when I come I could have collected it with interest?’
Luk 19:24 “Then he said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to him who possesses ten minas.’
Luk 19:25 “But they said to him, ‘Master, he already possesses ten minas.’
Luk 19:26 ‘For I say to you, that to everyone who possesses shall be given; and from him who does not possess, even what he possesses shall be taken away from him.
Luk 19:27 ‘But those enemies of mine who did not wish me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them before me.’ ”
If you notice in both the parables the reward stated to the faithful servants was ...in Matthew 25:21,23 '' Enter the joy of the Master'' and in Luke 19:17 have authority over 10 cities and verse 19 'be over 5 cities'. The reward was what the Master rejoiced in i.e. getting his lost sheep of the house of Yasharal known as cities where they were to rule with him.
In the Matthew's discourse he gave 5+2+1 =8 to three servants of his according to their ability
Mat 25:15 “And to one he gave five talents, and to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability, and went from home.
In the Luke's discourse he gave ten servants a maneh/mina each
Luk 19:13 “And calling ten of his servants, He gave them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Trade until I come.’
In the Luke discourse the nobleman was going to a distant country to receive for himself a reign and his subjects hating him sent a delegation after him that they don't want this man to be king over themselves
Luk 19:14 “But his subjects were hating him, and sent a delegation after him, to say, ‘We do not wish this one to reign over us.’
Hence when the nobleman returned with the reign he only took account from 3 servants while the rest he asked to be slayed before him, but it doesn't mention they were slain before him.
Luk 19:27 ‘But those enemies of mine who did not wish me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them before me.’
So when we put the people together who were given the kikar and the mina were 3 (Matthew's discourse) + 10 (Luke's discourse) = 13
While the one each from Matthew's account and Luke's account who didn't trade came in pretense showing some faithfulness, eventually one was cast into outer darkness and the others possession was taken and given to the one having 10 mina. Hence for now we keep them in the count and hence the kikar and the mina were given to 13 in their allotment.
Who rejected the kingship of Yahuah for which he sent them with a certificate of divorce? The ten tribes
2Ki 17:18 So יהוה was very enraged with Yisra’ĕl, and removed them from His presence – none was left but the tribe of Yehuḏah alone.
In Gen 49:1-48 we see Yaaqob blessing his 12 sons from whom would come the 12 tribes. The 12 sons were 1) Reuben 2) Shimon 3) Lewi 4) Yahudah 5) Zebulum 6) Yissakar 7) Dan 8) Gad 9) Asher 10) Naphtali 11) Yoseph & 12) Binyamin
Yaaqob had already blessed Yoseph's two sons Ephrayim and Menashsheh and Yoseph was promised a portion more than his brothers. Hence the count was 13 if Yoseph's son Ephraiym is mentioned (younger than Menashsheh but given the firstborn blessing in Gen 48)
Gen 48:22 “And I, I have given to you (Yoseph) one portion above your brothers, which I took from the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.
Jos 14:4 For the children of Yosĕph had become two tribes: Menashsheh and Ephrayim. And they gave no part to the Lĕwites in the land, except cities to dwell in, with their open land for their livestock and their possessions.
Menashsheh would be counted in Yoseph and that's why we see Ezekiel records 13 tribes in Ezekiel 48:1-29 with their inheritance as he lists Yoseph's two sons Ephrayim and Manasheh :
1) Dan 2) Asher 3) Naphtali 4) Menashsheh 5) Ephraiym 6) Reuben 7) Yahudah 8) Lewites 9) Binyamin 10) Shimon 11) Yisakkar 12) Zebulun & 13) Gad
One tribe was to be loosing the inheritance forever as prophesied and that was Dan and this we see in this parables the one with the kikar/talent was cast in the outerdarkness. Dan's blessing was not a blessing actually but a prophecy of him being cut off because he would cause the fall of many in Yasharal.
Gen 49:16 “Dan judges/dayan his people as one of the tribes of Yisra’ĕl.
Gen 49:17 “Dan is a serpent by the way, an adder by the path, that bites the horse’s heels so that its rider falls backward.
Gen 49:18 “I have waited for your deliverance, O יהוה!
Hence we see tribe of Dan missing in Rev 7:4-8. The tribe was cut off completely for setting up their own priesthood, giving into Yeroboam's golden calves and causing all of Yasharal to stumble into idolatory and were scattered.
Rev 7:4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand, sealed out of all the tribes of the children of Yisra’ĕl:
Rev 7:5 of the tribe of Yehuḏah twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Re’uḇĕn twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Gaḏ twelve thousand were sealed,
Rev 7:6 of the tribe of Ashĕr twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Menashsheh twelve thousand were sealed,
Rev 7:7 of the tribe of Shimʽon twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Lĕwi twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Yissasḵar twelve thousand were sealed,
Rev 7:8 of the tribe of Zeḇulun twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Yosĕph twelve thousand were sealed, of the tribe of Binyamin twelve thousand were sealed.
Similarly we see instead of Ephrayim, Yoseph is mentioned in Revelation 7:8 to maintain the lot of one portion more than his brothers which was given to him. We know of Yeroboam's golden calves one he placed in Bethel and the other he place in Dan.
1Ki 12:29 And he set up one in Bĕyth Ěl, and the other he put in Dan.
Jos 16:1 And the lot for the children of Yosĕph went out from the Yardĕn, by Yeriḥo, to the waters of Yeriḥo on the east, to the wilderness going up from Yericḥo through the mountains to Bĕyth Ěl,
Jos 16:2 and went out from Bĕyth Ěl to Luz, and passed over to the border of the Arkites at Ataroth,
Jos 16:3 and went down westward to the boundary of the Yaphlĕtites, as far as the boundary of Lower Bĕyth Ḥoron to Gezer, and it ended at the sea.
Jos 16:4 Thus the children of Yosĕph, Menashsheh and Ephrayim, inherited.
Bethel was the place where Yaaqob saw the ladder reaching out to heaven on which the angels of Yahuah ascended and descended on and Yahusha is the ladder (John 1:51). This was initially the house of Yahuah which he rejected because of the golden calf there which Ephrayim played the harlot in wickedness along with the other tribes. If you see scripture closely Yeroboam was an Ephrayimite.
1Ki 11:26 And a servant of Shelomoh, Yaroḇʽam son of Neḇat, an Ephrayimite from Tserĕḏah, whose mother’s name was Tseruʽah, a widow, also lifted up a hand against the sovereign.
We see Yahuah in his wisdom before Yeroboam's reign and golden calves brought Ruth formerly a Reubenite by roots and Moabitess by geographic location to be kinsman redeemed by Boaz the Yahudite.
Let's see briefly how?
Reuben was given the land of Moab by Moses which Yasharal took from the king of Amorite.
Nu 21:26 For Heshbon was the city of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who had fought against the former king of Moab, and taken all his land out of his hand, even unto Arnon.
Num 32:33 So Mosheh gave to the children of Gaḏ, to the children of Re’uḇĕn, and to half the tribe of Menashsheh, son of Yosĕph, the reign of Siḥon sovereign of the Amorites and the reign of Oḡ sovereign of Bashan, the land with its cities within the borders, the cities of the land round about.
Num 32:37 And the children of Re’uḇĕn built Ḥeshbon and Elʽalĕh and Qiryathayim,
Rth 1:1 And it came to be, in the days when the rulers ruled, that there was a scarcity of food in the land. And a man from Bĕyth Leḥem, Yehuḏah, went to sojourn in the fields of Mo’aḇ, he and his wife and his two sons.
Rth 1:2 And the name of the man was Elimeleḵ, and the name of his wife was Naʽomi, and the names of his two sons were Maḥlon and Kilyon – Ephrathites of Bĕyth Leḥem, Yehuḏah. And they went to the fields of Mo’aḇ and came to be there.
Now coming back to the parable discourses in Matthew 25 & Luke 19, it's a bit complicated unless we see who made up the tribes/cities of Yasharal. All those with the kikar's or mina in each of the parable were 13 and we deduct the 2 from 13 as their produce which remained dormant was given to the ones that had more = 11. Yahuah in his wisdom maintained the count to 12 by giving a portion more to Yoseph while keeping in mind the expulsion of the tribe of Dan permanently and Ephraiym for a time until he finds his inheritance in his father Yoseph.
Now we see what each brought what was given to them
In Matthew's discourse we see the 3 given kikars/talents as 5,2,1 (total 8) brought back another 8
Mat 25:16 “And he who had received the five talents went and worked with them, and made another five talents.
Mat 25:17 “In the same way, he with the two also, he gained two more.
Mat 25:18 “But he who had received the one went away and dug in the ground, and hid the silver of his master
In the Luke's discourse we see out of 10 who were given a mina each only 3 bring back 10, 5 & 1=16
You add up totally what they brought back was 8+16 = 24
We keep the produce brought back by the worthless servants because their inheritance was taken and given to the faithful ones
Mat 25:28 ‘Therefore take away the talent from him, and give it to him who possesses ten talents.
Luk 19:24 “Then he said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to him who possesses ten minas.’
While the one in Matthew's account was cast out into the outer darkness, the one mentioned in Luke's account was only stripped from his possession and his possession given to the one who brought 10 minas (as Ephrayim whose possession was given to Yoseph)
Mat 25:30 ‘And throw the worthless servant out into the outer darkness – there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
Luk 19:26 ‘For I say to you, that to everyone who possesses shall be given; and from him who does not possess, even what he possesses shall be taken away from him.
Luk 12:42 And the Master said, “Who then is the trustworthy and wise manager, whom his master shall appoint over his household, to give the portion of food in due season?
Luk 12:43 “Blessed is that servant whom his master shall find so doing when he comes.
Luk 12:44 “Truly, I say to you that he shall appoint him over all his possessions.
Luk 12:45 “But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat the male servants and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk,
Luk 12:46 the master of that servant shall come on a day when he does not expect him, and at an hour that he does not know, and shall cut him in two and appoint his portion with the unbelievers.
Luk 12:47 “And that servant who knew his master’s desire, and did not prepare, nor did according to his desire, shall be beaten with many stripes.
Luk 12:48 “But he who did not know, yet did what deserved flogging, shall be beaten with few. And everyone to whom much is given, from him much shall be demanded. And to whom much has been entrusted, from him much more shall be asked.
The fewer remnant from the tribes who transitioned from the flesh to the Ruach in Yahusha spread the basarah and brought the completeness of all the lost sheep of the tribes in all ages in the kingdom example: 12 x 2 = 24 (12 tribes and 12 emissaries of the Lamb) or 24 elders as stated in the book of Revelation (Rev 5:8). The number 12 x 2 stands for all the elect of Yahuah in both the OT and NT.
Also we see 2 out of 3 were faithful in Matthew’s discourse and 2 out of 10 were faithful in Luke’s discourse as they brought in the lost sheep of the house of Yasharal while the others were dispersed (of these 1 in Matthew was cast into outer darkness and the other one was saved as through fire and found his inheritance in Yoseph), hence 12 x 1/3 = 4.
Remember Yahuah said he will bring 1/3rd through the fire refined and 2/3rd will be cut off 12 x 2/3 =8
Zec 13:7 “O sword, awake against My Shepherd, against the Man who is My Companion,” declares יהוה of hosts. “Smite the Shepherd, and let the sheep be scattered. But I shall turn My hand upon the little ones.
Zec 13:8 And it shall be throughout all the land,” declares יהוה, “that two thirds therein are cut off and die, and one third is left therein.
Zec 13:9 “And I shall bring the third into fire, and refine them as silver is refined, and try them as gold is tried. They shall call on My Name, and I shall answer them. I shall say, ‘This is My people,’ while they say, ‘יהוה is my Elohim.’ ”
Luk 19:17 “And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant. Because you were trustworthy in a small matter, have authority over ten cities.
The nobleman didn't tell him have authority over 11 cities as he had already 1 mina in possession and he brought another 10
Similarly, the one with 5 minas already had 1 with him but he was given authority over 5 cities.
Luk 19:19 “And he said to him also, ‘And you – be over five cities.’
How else do we understand ruling over cities if not the tribes of Yasharal?
Mat 19:28 And יהושע said to them, “Truly I say to you, when the Son of Aḏam sits on the throne of His esteem, you who have followed Me in the rebirth, shall also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Yisra’ĕl.
Luk 22:29 “And I covenant for you, as My Father covenanted for Me, a reign,
Luk 22:30 to eat and drink at My table, in My reign, and to sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Yisra’ĕl.”
The proof of what I am discussing in this study lies in the comments of the ones with the kikar and the mina telling the Master that he is a hard man reaping where he has not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. They were justifying their inefficiency because actually the Master is involved in the increase, one cannot get even one into the fold without the Master's Ruach.
Luk 19:20 “And another came, saying, ‘Master, here is your mina, which I kept laid up in a sudar/head cloth.
Luk 19:21 ‘For I was afraid of you, because you are a hard man. You take up what you did not lay down, and reap what you did not sow.
1Co 3:5 What then is Apollos, and what is Sha’ul, but servants through whom you believed, as the Master assigned to each?
1Co 3:6 I planted, Apollos watered, but Elohim was giving growth.
Lastly the one with the one kikar/talent buried his money in the earth and the one with one mina hid it in the sudar/head cloth. Both show a picture of being fleshly as one hid the kikar in the ground and the one who hid the mina in the head cloth/sudar a picture of an uncircumcised mind. The kikar is round like a country and mina/manah also means number/count. They didn't get the increase by being fruitful for the Master. The ones whom the nobleman asked to be slain is a picture of Yahuah dispersing the tribes for their refusal of his rule over them and his imminent return as Yahusha with a reign and gathering to seek accountability.
Luk 19:12 He therefore said, “A certain nobleman went to a distant country to receive for himself a reign and to return.
Psa 2:1 Why do the gentiles rage, And the peoples meditate emptiness?
Psa 2:2 The sovereigns of the earth take their stand, And the rulers take counsel together, Against יהוה and against His Messiah, and say
Psa 2:3 “Let us tear apart Their bonds, And throw away Their ropes from us.”
Naomi, with her husband and two sons went to this piece of land because of the famine and there her son Mahlon married Ruth a Reubenite and left her barren and died. Ruth was now a Ephrathite after being married to Mahlon and she clung to Naomi even though her two sons and husband were dead by saying your alahym/judge is my alahym/judge and your people/Ephrathites my people/Ephrathites, and she crossed over and married Boaz from Yahudah who had become her kinsman reedeemer and he gave seed to her dead husband to keep his name alive in Yasharal, thus Yahuah fulfilled his promise to Yoseph and Yahudah in Gen 49 that from them would come Mashiyach and made the two sticks one. Ruth and Boaz were great grandparents of king David and Mashiyach is called Son of David from tribe of Yahudah.
Heb 7:14 For it is perfectly clear that our Master arose from Yahuḏah, a tribe about which Mosheh never spoke of concerning priesthood,
While Ephrayim would receive his inheritance of the lost sheep of the house of Yasharal in his father Yoseph as he was cut off for a moment due to the abominations done by Yeroboam in Bethel of Ephraiym for which Yahuah forsook Ephrayim and His house there.
Psa 78:8 And not be like their fathers, A stubborn and rebellious generation, A generation which did not prepare its heart, Whose spirit was not steadfast to Ěl.
Psa 78:9 The children of Ephrayim, armed bowmen, Turned back in the day of battle.
Psa 78:10 They did not guard the covenant of Elohim, And they refused to walk in His Torah,
Psa 78:11 And they forgot His deeds And His wonders which He had shown them.
Psa 78:67 Then He rejected the tent of Yosĕph, And did not choose the tribe of Ephrayim,
Psa 78:68 But chose the tribe of Yehuḏah, Mount Tsiyon, which He loved.
Psa 78:69 And He built His set-apart place like the heights, Like the earth He founded it forever.
Psa 78:70 And He chose Dawiḏ His servant, And took him from the sheepfolds;
Hos 14:7 “Those who dwell under his shadow shall return. They shall revive like grain, and blossom like the vine, and become as fragrant as the wine of Leḇanon.
Hos 14:8 “What more has Ephrayim to do with idols? It is I who answer and look after him. I am like a green cypress tree, your fruit comes from Me.”
Zec 10:6 “And I shall make the house of Yehuḏah mighty, and save the house of Yosĕph. And I shall bring them back, because I have compassion on them. And they shall be as though I had not pushed them aside. For I am יהוה their Elohim, and I answer them.
Zec 10:7 “And Ephrayim shall be as a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as if with wine. And their children shall see and rejoice, their heart exulting in יהוה.
Zec 10:8 “I shall whistle for them and gather them, for I shall ransom them. And they shall increase as they once increased.
Zec 10:9 “Though I sow them among peoples, they shall remember Me in places far away. And they shall live, together with their children, and they shall return.
Zec 10:10 “And I shall bring them back from the land of Mitsrayim, and gather them from Ashshur, and bring them into the land of Gileaḏ and Leḇanon, until no more room is found for them.
While the worthless servant in Matthew 25:30 was Dan who was completely cut off but in Luke 19:22-26 the mina was taken from him and given to the one who possessed 10 mina's was Ephraiym.
Amo 8:14 those swearing by the guilt of Shomeron, who say, ‘As your mighty one lives, O Dan!’ and, ‘As the way of Be’ĕrsheḇa lives!’ And they shall fall and never rise again.”
Jer 8:16 The snorting of his horses was heard from Dan. All the land shook at the sound of the neighing of his strong ones. They came and devoured the land and all that fills it, the city and those who dwell in it.
Jer 8:17 “For look, I am sending among you serpents, adders, which have no enchanter, and they shall bite you,” declares יהוה.
Gen 49:16 “Dan judges his people as one of the tribes of Yisra’ĕl.
Gen 49:17 “Dan is a serpent by the way, an adder by the path, that bites the horse’s heels so that its rider falls backward.
Gen 49:18 “I have waited for your deliverance, O יהוה!
Speaking as a warning to Yerushalam, Yahuah tells them to turn away from wickedness looking at the voice declaring from Dan and proclaiming trouble from Mount Ephrayim, indicating to them an example of what judgement he brought on these places were the golden calves were placed.
Jer 4:14 O Yerushalayim, wash your heart from evil, and be saved. Till when would your wicked thoughts remain within you?
Jer 4:15 For a voice is declaring from Dan, and is proclaiming trouble from Mount Ephrayim:
Jer 4:16 “Announce to the nations, look, proclaim against Yerushalayim, that besiegers are coming from a distant land and raise their voice against the cities of Yehuḏah.
Now we can see 13 (tribes) -2 (Dan & Ephrayim) = 11 + 1 (Yoseph Rev 7:8...as Yahuah remembers his promise that he would receive one lot more than his brothers) = 12
Gen 48:21 And Yisra’ĕl said to Yosĕph, “See, I am dying, but Elohim shall be with you and bring you back to the land of your fathers.
Gen 48:22 “And I, I have given to you one portion above your brothers, which I took from the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.”
And the birthright of the firstborn son Reuben was given to Yoseph
1Ch 5:1 As for the sons of Re’uḇĕn the first-born of Yisra’ĕl – he was the first-born, but because he profaned his father’s bed, his birthright was given to the sons of Yosĕph, son of Yisra’ĕl, so that the genealogy is not listed according to the birthright,
1Ch 5:2 for Yehuḏah prevailed over his brothers, and from him came a ruler, although the birthright was Yosĕph’s
Hence we see the 1/3rd who were refined were from the remnant of the house of Yasharal who brought their brethren as the lost sheep of the house of Yasharal out of the 2/3rd who were cut off and died in paganism.
Coming back to the parable one will say wait a minute didn't the 2 in Matthew's discourse bring another 5,2, which means they still had 5,2, in possession and in Luke's discourse the 2 came back with 10, 5, and they also had the 1 mina already in possession so how do we address this? It's pretty simple...the measure of reward given in Luke's account will answer this question.
