Mat 25:1 “Then the reign of the heavens shall be compared to ten maidens who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
Mat 25:2 “And five of them were wise, and five foolish.
Mat 25:3 “Those who were foolish, having taken their lamps, took no oil with them,
Mat 25:4 but the wise took oil in their containers with their lamps.
Mat 25:5 “Now while the bridegroom took time, they all slumbered and slept.
Mat 25:6 “And at midnight a cry was heard, ‘See, the bridegroom is coming, go out to meet him!’
Mat 25:7 “Then all those maidens rose up and trimmed their lamps.
Mat 25:8 “And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us of your oil, because our lamps are going out.’
Mat 25:9 “But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, indeed, there would not be enough for us and you. Instead, go to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’
Mat 25:10 “And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding, and the door was shut.
Mat 25:11 “And later the other maidens also came, saying, ‘Master, Master, open up for us!’
Mat 25:12 “But he answering, said, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’
Mat 25:13 “Watch therefore, because you do not know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Aḏam is coming,
This parable of the wise and foolish virgins is uniquely placed among other parables in Matthew 25 in the Olivet discourse to show the kingdom of the hashamayim/heaven has a mixed multitude of the spiritual as well as the fleshly and only towards the end the separation happens. Following this parable is the parable of the talents/kikar and the separation of sheep and goats which show that the end is near and the separation of what was mixed as stated in the parables in Matthew Chapter 13 are being separated.
Matthew 13 shows us a series of parables where the enemy came and mixed his people in the reign of the hashamayim...examples: parables of the seed sown, parable of wheat and tares, parable of the mustard seed where the fowls of the air made nests in the branch of the huge tree, woman mixing leaven in three measures of fine flour, parable of the net. Matthew 25 is in the Olivet discourse showing the separation of what the enemy sowed in the reign of the hashamayim.
Rom 8:19 For the intense longing of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of Elohim.
The true sons of Aluahym will be revealed in the separation and only the Signs of Times discerned from Turah will tell us when this separation takes place.
The ten maidens took their lamps/nar and went to meet the bridegroom. The Hebrew word for maiden is 'almah' H5959 which has the root word 'alam' which means 'hidden/conceal/secret thing' H5956
'alam' H5956 A primitive root; to veil from sight, that is, conceal (literally or figuratively): - X any ways, blind, dissembler, hide (self), secret (thing).
And the same word 'alam' H5957 means ancient/of old/everlasting/remote time (Chaldee); corresponding to H5769; remote time, that is, the future or past indefinitely; often adverbially forever: - for([n-]) ever (lasting), old.
The number ten is a complete number and five is number for Torah (five books of the Law) which has both the blessings and the curses, blessings to those who discern the Torah of life and their five senses renewed to discern spiritual things while the fleshly don't have the ability to discern their five senses and are occupied in the fleshly appeasements. The five senses are seeing, hearing, smelling, taste and touch. Hence Torah is also the number for grace/chan.
The ten almah/of old (alam) hidden (alam) takes us back to a past time where the night was watched with a lamp/naur
Num 8:1 And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,
Num 8:2 “Speak to Aharon, and say to him, ‘When you set up the alaph tau lamps/nar H5216, let the seven lamps/nar H5216 give light in front of the lampstand.’ ”
Num 8:3 And Aharon did so. He set up the lamps/nar H5216 to face toward the front of the lampstand, as יהוה commanded Mosheh.
Where were these lampstands having the nar/lamps placed?
The lampstand was placed in the Tent of the Meeting before the table on the south side of the shew bread to give light to the table, while the table of shewbread was placed on the north side.
Exo 40:24 And he put the lampstand in the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the south side of the Dwelling Place,
Exo 40:25 and lit the lamps/nar H5216 before יהוה, as יהוה had commanded Mosheh.
Ex 26:35 And you shall set the table without the veil, and the lampstand over against the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south: and you shall put the table on the north side.
Exo 40:22 And he put the table in the Tent of Meeting, on the north side of the Dwelling Place, outside the veil,
Exo 40:23 and set the bread in order upon it before יהוה, as יהוה had commanded Mosheh.
Exo 40:24 And he put the lampstand in the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the south side of the Dwelling Place,
Exo 25:30 “And you shall put the showbread/lacham (bread) H3899 panayam (faces) H6440 on the table before Me, continually.

Lev 24:5 “And you shall take fine flour and bake twelve cakes with it, two-tenths of an ĕphah in each cake.
Lev 24:6 “And you shall set them in two rows, six in a row, on the clean table before יהוה.
Lev 24:7 “And you shall put clear frankincense on each row, and it shall be on the bread as a remembrance portion/azakarah H234, an offering made by fire to יהוה.
Lev 24:8 “On every Sabbath he is to arrange it before יהוה continually, from the children of Yisra’ĕl – an everlasting covenant.
Lev 24:9 “And it shall be for Aharon and his sons, and they shall eat it in the set-apart place, because it is most set-apart to him from the offerings of יהוה made by fire – an everlasting law.”
The fine flour was baked into 12 cakes representing the 12 tribes of Yasharal. The cakes were baked with TWO-TENTHS OF EPHAH IN EACH CAKE.
1Ch 9:32 And some of their brothers of the sons of the Qehathites were over the showbread, to prepare every Sabbath.
The Shewbread of the Tabernacle was the manchah offering. Though the word 'manchah' is not used here but is used in Numbers 28:9-10 as it was to be arranged on Shabbat and the Qehathites were over the showbread. Also we see the usage of frankincense in it and its an azakarah/memorial an offering made by fire to Yahuah. The 12 cakes represent the 12 tribes and the two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour in each cake show the presence of Mashiyach in the midst of the 12 tribes in a two fold witness.
2Chr.3:1 Then Solomon began to build the house of Yahuah in Yerushalam on Mount Moriah, where Yahuah had appeared to Dawid his father, at the place that Dawid had appointed, on the threshing floor of Ornan the Yabusite.

Num 28:9 ‘And on the Sabbath day two lambs a year old, perfect ones, and two-tenths of an ĕphah of fine flour as a grain offering/manchah H4503, mixed with oil, with its drink offering,
Num 28:10 the burnt offering for every Sabbath, besides the continual burnt offering with its drink offering.
The two-tenths of the ephah of fine flour crushed to be present in each 12 cakes shows the firstfruits, Yahusha and we in him crushed to be a sweet savor unto Aluahym.
Lev 2:11 ‘No grain offering which you bring to יהוה is made with leaven, for you do not burn any leaven or any honey in an offering to יהוה made by fire.
Since the shewbread came from the offering made by fire to Yahuah (Lev 24:7) which people brought the fine flour as an offering, the bread was made by crushing two-tents of ephah of fine flour to be present in each 12 cakes and it goes without saying the bread was 'matsah' (unleavened)
Lev 21:6 ‘They are set-apart to their Elohim and do not profane the Name of their Elohim, for they bring the offerings of יהוה made by fire, and the bread of their Elohim, and shall be set-apart.
It was called the 'bread of Aluahym' for the set-apart people of Yahuah brought the fine flour as a manchah offering which the Qehathithes made shewbread every Shabbat while the portion of it was offered as a fire offering to Yahuah as the manchah offering.
The lamps from the lampstand shed light on the shewbread indicates that Yahusha is giving the light and warmth to the shewbread in which was the frankincense and the incense by the light and warmth emitted a sweet fragrance before Yahuah in the dark hours.
The table of shewbread with 12 unleavened cakes placed on the north side shows the 12 tribes of Tsiyon the city of the great king on the sides of the north.
Psa 48:2 Pretty on high, The joy of all the earth, Is Mount Tsiyon on the sides of the north, The city of the great Sovereign.
The lampstand facing the north shows the light and warmth comes from the death of Yahusha ha Mashiyach.
The Turah says that the sin offering is to be slaughtered north of the altar (Lev 1:11)
Le 1:11 And he shall kill it on the side of the altar northward before Yahuah and the priests, Aaron's sons, shall sprinkle his blood round about upon the altar.
Galgalta was on Mount Moriah just outside the northern gate of the city of Yerushalam. What happened on Mount Moriah was significant.
Gen.22:2 He said, "Take your (Abraham) son, your only son Yitsaq, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."
2Chr.3:1 Then Solomon began to build the house of Yahuah in Yerushalam on Mount Moriah, where Yahuah had appeared to Dawid his father, at the place that Dawid had appointed, on the threshing floor of Ornan the Yabusite.
We have scripture confirming that this was the same place where Abraham offered the ram caught with it's thickets in the place of his son Yitshaq and had named as Yahuah Yarah which means 'In the mount of Yahuah it will be seen'
Gen 22:14 Abraham called the name of that place Yahuah Yarah, as it is said to this day, in the mount of Yahuah it will be seen.
Heb 13:12 Therefore Yahusha also, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate.
When would Aharon light the lamps?
Aharon would burn sweet incense on the incense altar twice, once at 9am/third hour and once late afternoon at the 9th hour/3pm light the lamps late afternoon and tend/dress them just after the incense hour in the morning (prepare them with the wicks which is called nar/lamp)
Exo 30:7 “And Aharon shall burn on it sweet incense, every morning. As he tends the lamps/nar H5216, he shall burn incense on it.
Exo 30:8 “And when Aharon lights the lamps/nar H5216 between the evenings, he shall burn incense on it – a continual incense before יהוה throughout your generations.
We will see the words' every morning' a little later in Hebrew.
The lighting of the lamps/nar between the evenings was significant as it reveals the light of prophecy shining in a dark place
2Pe1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto you do well that you take heed, as unto a light that shines/nar in a dark place, until the day dawn, the day star arises in your hearts.
Hence the ten almah/of old (alam) H5957 hidden (alam) H5956 took their lamps/nar and went out to meet the bridegroom. The going out shows they were behind closed doors. The going out was at midnight when the cry was made that the bridegroom is coming. Matthew 25:1,3-4 is a summary of going out after the cry was made at midnight while Matthew 25:5 shows us what they were doing behind closed doors i.e. they all slumbered and slept.
Matt 25:5 “Now while the bridegroom was delaying, they all got drowsy and began to sleep.”
While the bridegroom was delaying they all slumbered and slept. The sleep is in being occupied in things of the flesh.
Matt 25:6 “But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’”
It is significant that Masha was shown to make one lampstand facing the table of shewbread which was placed in the north which has it's spiritual significance which we already saw.
Now let's see the haykal/temple which Shelemoh built:
While many see Shelemoh building the house of Yahuah, not many see that it was his father David who gave him the pattern as shown to him by Yahuah in the Ruach of how the house was to be built.
1Ch 28:9 “As for you, my son Shelomoh, know the Elohim of your father, and serve Him with a perfect heart and with a pleasing life, for יהוה searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you do seek Him, He is found by you; but if you forsake Him, He rejects you forever.
1Ch 28:10 “See, now, for יהוה has chosen you to build a house for the set-apart place. Be strong, and do it.”
1Ch 28:11 And Dawiḏ gave his son Shelomoh the plans for the porch, and its houses, and its treasuries, and its upper rooms, and its inner rooms, and the place of atonement;
1Ch 28:12 and the plans for all that he had BY THE RUACH, of the courtyards of the House of יהוה, and of all the rooms all around, and of the treasuries of the House of Elohim, and of the treasuries for the set-apart gifts;
1Ch 28:13 and for the divisions of the priests and the Lĕwites, and for all the work of the service of the House of יהוה, and for all the vessels of service in the House of יהוה;
1Ch 28:14 even gold by weight for utensils of gold, for all utensils used in every kind of service; for silver for all utensils of silver by weight, for all utensils used in every kind of service;
1Ch 28:15 and by weight for the lampstands of gold, and their lamps of gold, by weight for each lampstand and its lamps; and for the lampstands of silver by weight, for the lampstand and its lamps, according to the use of each lampstand;
1Ch 28:16 and by weight gold for the tables of the showbread, for each table, and silver for the tables of silver;
1Ch 28:17 and clean gold for the forks, and the basins, and the jars of clean gold, and the golden bowls, by weight for every bowl; and for the silver bowls, silver by weight for every bowl;
1Ch 28:18 and refined gold by weight for the altar of incense, and for the pattern of the chariot of the gold keruḥim, spreading out their wings and covering over the ark of the covenant of יהוה.
1Ch 28:19 “יהוה made me understand all this in writing, by His hand upon me, all the works of these plans.”
1Ch 28:20 And Dawiḏ said to his son Shelomoh, “Be strong and courageous, and do it. Do not fear nor be afraid, for יהוה Elohim, my Elohim, is with you. He shall not leave you nor forsake you, until you have completed all the work for the service of the House of יהוה
In the revised pattern Shelemoh according to the plan given to him by his father made 10 lampstands and 10 tables of shewbread, five on the right and five on the left.
1Ki 7:49 and the lampstands of refined gold, five on the right side and five on the left in front of the Speaking Place, with the flowers and the lamps and the snuffers of gold;
2Ch 4:7 And he made ten lampstands of gold according to their ruling/mishpat H4941, and set them in the Hĕḵal, five on the right side and five on the left.
2Ch 4:8 And he made ten tables, and placed them in the Hĕḵal, five on the right side and five on the left. And he made one hundred bowls of gold.
Shelemoh made the lampstands according to their mishpat/ordinance. This indicates he made the lampstands in the exact ordinance as it was given to Masha. It is beyond doubt that he made the tables of shewbread in the same pattern with 12 cakes on each table. While the priests in the haykal increased it goes on to be understood that the provision also increased, because the priests were the recipients of the offerings of fine flour which the people brought which was offered as a fire offering and a portion of the remainder was made into shewbread. They were the only ones to eat the shewbread.
10 tables of shewbread with each table having 12 cakes representing the tribes of Yasharal, hence 10 x 12 = 120. We see a spiritual significance of the number 120 in the transitioning Yahudim from the Old covenant to the Renewed Covenant.
Act 1:15 And in those days Kĕpha, standing up in the midst of the taught ones – and there was a gathering of about a hundred and twenty – said,
Five on the right and five on the left where number 10 shows the complete number and 5 shows the Turah of grace/chan.
The ten lampstands with each having seven lamps/nar, hence 10 x 7 = 70. Five on the right and Five on the left where number 10 shows the complete number and 5 shows the Turah of grace/chan. The 70 whom the Master sent were in the process of the transition from the Old Covenant to the Renewal in Mashiyach just as the 120 were.
Luk 10:1 And after this the Master appointed seventy others, and sent them two by two ahead of Him into every city and place where He Himself was about to go.
Luk 10:2 Then He said to them, “The harvest indeed is great, but the workers are few, therefore pray the Master of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.
While the numbers are whole the division of 5 of lampstands on either side and also the 5 of the tables of shew bread on either side show the mustering of the twelve tribes according to Turah of grace/chan.
Matt 25:7 “Then all those maidens rose and trimmed/yatab their lamps/nar.”
When the cry was made at midnight was made that the bridegroom is coming the 10 almah/maidens rose and trimmed their lamps.
Exo 30:7 “And Aharon shall burn on it sweet incense, ba baqar ba baqar. As he tends/yatab H3190 the lamps/nar H5216, he shall burn incense on it.
The word 'yatab' H3190 is the same word used in Matt 25:7 as used in Exo 30:7 and means 'tend/array/dress'.
If you notice the verse Exo 30:7 has the word 'baqar' twice indicating it was morning by morning when he trimmed/tend/yatab the lamps/nar. The word 'baqar' H1242 comes from the word H1239 which means 'seek/search/enquire'. The picture is of seeking Yahuah early during the incense hour 9am. As the remainder of the verse would read 'ba/of the seeking time ba/in the morning'.
Psa 27:4 One matter I asked of יהוה – this I seek: To dwell in the House of יהוה All the days of my life, To see the pleasantness of יהוה, And to inquire/baqar H1239 in His Hĕḵal.
2Ki 16:15 And Sovereign Aḥaz commanded Uriyah the priest, saying, “On the great altar burn the morning/baqar H1242 burnt offering, and the evening grain offering, and the sovereign’s burnt offering, and his grain offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their grain offering, and their drink offerings. And sprinkle on it all the blood of the burnt offering and all the blood of the slaughtering. And the bronze altar is for me to inquire/baqar H1239 by.
The word "morning" is "baqar" H1242 meaning break of day or daybreak when the sun comes above the eastern horizon.
Psa. 113:2-3 shed forth more of the inspired interpretation of some very important words or phrases.
"From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same..."
The word "rising" is H4217 "mazrakh" meaning the time of sunrise. This is from H2224 "Zarakh" meaning, "to appear," and thus the "rising of the sun" is referring to the time of day when the sun comes forth above the horizon in the east. The word translated as "going down" is H3996 "mabua" meaning the place of the setting of the sun, the west as well as it's entrance as the root word is ''muba'' H4126 which means 'entrance'. The sun sets in one place and rises in another and hence it keeps coming into its same entrance day by day and year by year. That is the picture seen in Hebrew word 'mabua'
Hence the time of inquiring, morning incense hour and tending/dressing the lamps/nar was in the morning at 9 am or the third hour and the evening sacrifice and the lighting of the lamps/nar was at 3pm at the ninth hour
We saw the spiritual significance of the single lampstand (1 x 7) and the one table of shewbread (12 cakes) as well as the 10 lampstands (10 x 7) and the 10 tables of shewbread (10 x 12) where the number 7 shows us the 'shabah' (week) where evening till sunrise there had to be light in the lampstand with Aharon ensuring that it's dressed morning by morning (with wicks and olive oil) and light it late afternoon at the incense hour, and the shewbread replaced every Shabbat.
Exo 27:20 “And you, you are to command the children of Yisra’ĕl to bring you clear oil of pressed olives for the light, to cause the lamp to burn continually.
Exo 27:21 “In the Tent of Meeting, outside the veil which is before the Witness, Aharon and his sons are to array it from evening until morning/baqar H1242 before יהוה – a law forever to their generations, from the children of Yisra’ĕl.
Lev 24:2 “Command the children of Yisra’ĕl that they bring to you clear oil of pressed olives for the light, to make the lamps burn continually.
Lev 24:3 “Outside the veil of the Witness, in the Tent of Meeting, Aharon is to arrange it from evening until morning before יהוה continually – a law forever throughout your generations.
The lamp was to be arranged/arrayed to be having light in it from evening to morning not 24/7. Like we understood that the light from the lampstand was like the light shining/nar in a dark place as the Ruach of prophecy. The physical stood for the spiritual as we see the fulfillment in Yahusha ha Mashiyach and we elect in Him.
Yahuchanan/John was in the Ruach on Yahuah's day and saw the Son of Man standing in the midst of 7 golden lampstands which were the 7 assemblies.
Rev 1:10 I came to be in the Ruach on the Day of יהוה, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet,
Rev 1:11 saying, “I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the First and the Last,” and, “Write in a book what you see and send it to the seven assemblies of Asia – to Ephesos, and to Smurna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodikeia.”
Rev 1:12 And I turned to see the voice which spoke with me. And having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands,
Rev 1:13 and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Aḏam, dressed in a robe down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band.
His standing in the midst of the seven lampstands has to be understood in the light of Turah, it was a dark time and he stood attending to the lampstands as the Kahan ha Gadul (High priest) just as Aharon was. The seven lampstands were the seven assemblies.
Rev 1:20 “The secret of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are messengers of the seven assemblies, and the seven lampstands which you saw are seven assemblies.
The numbers 1,10 and 7 always speak of completeness/totality and hence the 1 lampstand of Masha's pattern, 10 lampstands of the first temple pattern and the 7 lampstands of the Renewed covenant pattern all speak of the completeness/fulfillment.
ZacharYah saw the single lampstand of Masha's pattern (shown to Masha) with seven lamps/nar had the golden olive oil automatically supplied to it by the two olive branches who are the two anointed ban/sons i.e. The two fold testimony of Mashiyach from the Turah and the Prophets.
Zec 4:2 And he said to me, “What do you see?” So I said, “I have looked, and see: a lampstand all of gold with a bowl on top of it, and on the stand seven lamps/nar H5216 with seven spouts to the seven lamps/H5216.
Zec 4:3 “And two olive branches are by it, one at the right of the bowl and the other at its left.”
Zec 4:11 Then I responded and said to him, “What are these two olive branches, one at the right of the lampstand and the other at its left?”
Zec 4:12 And I responded a second time and said to him, “What are these two olive branches which empty golden oil from themselves by means of the two gold pipes?”
Zec 4:13 And he answered me and said, “Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, my master.”
Zec 4:14 And he said, “These are the two sons/ban H1121 anointed, who stand beside the ADON of all the earth.”
Deu 19:15 “One witness does not rise up against a man concerning any crookedness or any sin that he commits. At the mouth of two witnesses or at the mouth of three witnesses a matter is established.
Joh 8:17 It is also written in your Turah, that the testimony of two men is true.
Joh 8:18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
The testimony of Mashiyach which he bears and the testimony the Father bears of Him is evident in Turah. While the high priest and the priests failed in their duty of attending the lamps while in captivity in Babylon, Yahuah is showing us that He himself did it as the Mashiyach giving the golden oil to the seven lamps/nar to burn from evening to morning (even during the dark time i.e. a light shining in a dark place). The same picture is seen in the Son of Man being in the midst of the seven golden lampstands which are the seven assemblies with Him attending to keep the lamps burning from evening to morning.
Amo 5:20 Is not the day of יהוה darkness, and not light? Is it not very dark, with no brightness in it?
Yahuchanan was in the Ruach of Yahuah caught up to the Day of Yahuah, isn't the day of Yahuah dark?
Joe 2:1 Blow a ram’s horn in Tsiyon, and sound an alarm in My set-apart mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the earth tremble, for the day of יהוה is coming, for it is near:
Joe 2:2 a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness, like the morning clouds spread over the mountains – a people many and strong, the like of whom has never been, nor shall there ever be again after them, to the years of many generations.
While the darkness is spiritual in nature and the light of the lamps/nar shining in a dark place as the light of prophecy in a two and three fold witness, Yahuchanan was carried in the Ruach on Yahuah's day to see the Son of Man standing in the midst of the seven lampstands and it must be understood as in the incense hour as the high priest attending the lampstands.
Re 2:1 ¶ Unto the messenger of the aseembly of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
Now coming to the 10 almah. We saw the word 'almah' has the root words 'alam' which means 'hidden' as well as 'of old/ancient' and hence the 10 almah's are shown as in a transition from the Old testament haykal/temple represented by the 10 lampstands and 10 tables of shewbread Shelemoh made, while five were wise and transitioned to the Renewed covenant, the five foolish virgins went to buy the oil from Judaism and hence failed the transition.
The number 5 is both Turah of sin/khat and death/muth as well as Turah of grace/chan and each had a lamp/nar. The transitioning can be seen in the interim of the 120 disciples gathered in the Upper Room after the death and resurrection of the Master Yahusha and continued in the assemblies gathering to break bread on Shabbat.
Act 1:15 And in those days Kĕpha, standing up in the midst of the taught ones – and there was a gathering of about a hundred and twenty – said,
Act 20:7 And on one of the Shabbats, the taught ones having gathered together to break bread, Sha’ul, intending to depart the next day, was reasoning with them and was extending the word till midnight.
Act 20:8 And there were many lamps/nar in the upper room where they were assembled.
Act 20:11 Then going up again, and having broken bread and eaten, he talked a long while, even till daybreak (incense hour), and so went forth.
Notice ...'there were many lamps/nar in the upper room where they were assembled'. We shouldn't miss this important piece of information.
So when Yahusha spoke the parable of the wise and foolish maidens he had in mind the transitioning to the renewed covenant where behind closed doors they were with the lamps/nar lit where they assembled. While the bridegroom tarried they all slumbered and slept. At midnight a cry was made that the bridegroom is coming, that is when they trimmed/yatab their lamps/nar to go out to meet the bridegroom in the renewal. The wise had the oil/shaman in their lamps/nar while the foolish didn't and hence went to buy from Yahudism. We see this sad state of the foolish almah's even today as they have adopted the Yahudi customs in observing Shabbats and feasts of Yahuah in fleshly appeasements instead of the renewal in Mashiyach.
What is also interesting to see is the feast of Pesach is the only feast observed behind closed doors from evening till morning and the lamb/goat they had with bitter herbs had to be finished at night and the left overs had to be burnt before daybreak.
Exo 12:5 ‘Let the lamb be a perfect one, a year old male. Take it from the sheep or from the goats.
Exo 12:6 ‘And you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then all the assembly of the congregation of Yisra’ĕl shall kill it between the evenings.
Exo 12:8 ‘And they shall eat the flesh on that night, roasted in fire – with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
Exo 12:9 ‘Do not eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted in fire, its head with its legs and its inward parts.
Exo 12:10 ‘And do not leave of it until morning, and what remains of it until morning you are to burn with fire.
Exo 12:18 ‘In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, in the evening, you shall eat unleavened bread until the twenty-first day of the month in the evening.
Exo 12:19 ‘For seven days no leaven is to be found in your houses, for if anyone eats what is leavened, that same being shall be cut off from the congregation of Yisra’ĕl, whether sojourner or native of the land.
The Unleavened bread eating began from the 14th evening along with the Pesach lamb until the 21st day of the month of Abib which is the first month.
Hence when we see the transitioning from the Old Covenant to the Renewal the wise virgins also slumbered and slept with the foolish behind closed doors in doing the things as physical unleavened bread breaking and eating, drinking fruit of the wine with the sedar meal, washing each others feet and many fleshly things without understanding the renewal in Mashiyach which many are still doing these without understanding the spiritual things hidden in these elements.
Speaking of his coming back Yahusha spoke of his coming in the night watches 1) evening 2) midnight 3) cock crowing and 4) morning/baqar
Mar 13:35 “Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming – in the evening or at midnight, or at the crowing of the cock, or in the morning,
Mar 13:36 lest, coming suddenly, he should find you sleeping.
Mar 13:37 “And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”
These four watches are a clue to the Day of Yahuah as being Pesach as he had the Pesach meal with his disciples in the evening, was arrested at midnight, Kepha denied him at cockcrowing and he was presented before the Sanhedrin and condemned to death at the rising of the sun. This is the only night which they were commanded to watch throughout their generations.
Exo 12:42 It is a night to be observed unto יהוה for bringing them out of the land of Mitsrayim. This night is unto יהוה, to be observed by all the children of Yisra’ĕl throughout their generations.
We also see Aluahym brought darkness over the whole land from the sixth hour to the ninth hour (12pm to 3pm) when Yahusha hung on the stake thus bringing the morning and the evening daily sacrifices together as one in him in it's fulfillment,
Exo 29:38 “And this is what you prepare on the altar: two lambs, a year old, daily, continually.
The above is a picture of the lamp/nar.
The ten almah's/maidens (alam: of old, hidden) having a lamp/nar each is the picture of a transition from the Old Covenant to the Renewed as they begin with the shamash lamp/nar which is the servant/attendant/helper. Five were wise and five were foolish. The foolish didn't have oil to be a helper/servant/attendant to give oil to the other six lamps of the branches while the wise had sufficient oil to be a servant/helper/attendant to the other 6 lamps. That is why they refuse to give the foolish almah's oil when they asked them for and ask them to go to the dealers and buy for themselves.
The menorah/lampstand with the seven lamps/nar faced northward towards the shewbread of 12 cakes representing the 12 tribes shows Mashiyach was both in the lampstand as the light as well as in the shewbread as He is the Yasharal of Aluahym i.e. the Seed and we in him.
Gal 3:16 But the promises were spoken to Aḇraham, and to his Seed. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Messiah.
1Ch 28:11 And Dawiḏ gave his son Shelomoh the plans for the porch, and its houses, and its treasuries, and its upper rooms, and its inner rooms, and the place of atonement;
1Ch 28:12 and the plans for all that he had BY THE RUACH, of the courtyards of the House of יהוה, and of all the rooms all around, and of the treasuries of the House of Elohim, and of the treasuries for the set-apart gifts;
1Ch 28:13 and for the divisions of the priests and the Lĕwites, and for all the work of the service of the House of יהוה, and for all the vessels of service in the House of יהוה;
1Ch 28:14 even gold by weight for utensils of gold, for all utensils used in every kind of service; for silver for all utensils of silver by weight, for all utensils used in every kind of service;
1Ch 28:15 and by weight for the lampstands of gold, and their lamps of gold, by weight for each lampstand and its lamps; and for the lampstands of silver by weight, for the lampstand and its lamps, according to the use of each lampstand;
1Ch 28:16 and by weight gold for the tables of the showbread, for each table, and silver for the tables of silver;
1Ch 28:17 and clean gold for the forks, and the basins, and the jars of clean gold, and the golden bowls, by weight for every bowl; and for the silver bowls, silver by weight for every bowl;
1Ki 7:49 and the lampstands of refined gold, five on the right side and five on the left in front of the Speaking Place, with the flowers and the lamps and the snuffers of gold;
John 6:9 There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are these for so many people?
John 6:10 Yahusha said, “Have the men sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand
John 6:13 So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten.
Mark 8:19 “When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets filled with broken pieces did you pick up?” They said to Him, Twelve
Five (Torah books ) broken pieces in twelve baskets picked up (12 tribes ). The two fish are symbolic of the two fold witness in Turah.
Five thousand (those under Turah of grace/chan). Number five is Turah of Grace/Chan to the renewed man as he has five senses renewed to discern spiritual things while the fleshly don't have the ability to discern their five senses and are occupied in the fleshly appeasements.
The loaves were unleavened as it was around the time of Pesach when Yahudites were particular to remove all form of leaven from their houses.
Joh 6:4 And the Passover was near, the festival of the Yehuḏim.
Significance of the Half an hour of Silence:
Rev 8:1 And when He opened the seventh seal, there came to be silence in the heaven for about half an hour.
2 And I saw the seven messengers who stand before Elohim, and to them were given seven trumpets.
3 And another messenger came and stood at the slaughter-place, holding a golden censer, and much incense was given to him, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the set-apart ones upon the golden slaughter-place which was before the throne.
4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the set-apart ones, went up before Elohim from the hand of the messenger.
5 And the messenger took the censer, and filled it with fire from the slaughter-place, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, and thunders, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
Silence in heaven for half and hour:
Much incense was given to the Messenger of Aluahym which are the prayers of the set apart ones, the incense was offered on the golden altar (incense altar before the throne)
In Torah Aharon was to take the golden censer and put the live coals from the brazen altar, take a handful of incense and walk into the Set apart place where the incense altar was and where the lampstands and shew bread was there before the veil which separated the Most Set apart place.
The only time Aharon was supposed to take much incense was on the Day of Atonement so that there is extra smoke when he first offers the incense on the incense altar then moves into the Most Set apart place with the golden censer, this was commanded so that he doesn't see the mercy seat during the sprinkling of blood on the mercy seat lest he die.
This differed from the regular daily incense offering mentioned in
Exo 30:7 “And Aharon shall burn on it sweet incense, morning by morning. As he tends the lamps, he shall burn incense on it.
8 “And when Aharon lights the lamps between the evenings, he shall burn incense on it – a continual incense before יהוה throughout your generations.
Day of Atonement incense offering:
Lev 16:12 and shall take a fire holder filled with burning coals of fire from the slaughter-place before יהוה, with his hands filled with sweet incense beaten fine, and shall bring it inside the veil.
13 “And he shall put the incense on the fire before יהוה, and the cloud of incense shall cover the lid of atonement which is on the Witness, lest he die.
14 “And he shall take some of the blood of the bull and sprinkle it with his finger on the lid of atonement on the east side, also in front of the lid of atonement he sprinkles some of the blood with his finger seven times
We see in Rev 8 that there was much incense in the hand of the Messenger of Aluahym which shows that it was a time of Atonement but it was not the actual day of Atonement/Yom Kippur but Pesach as there is something the Messenger did
Rev 8: 5 And the messenger took the censer, and filled it with fire from the slaughter-place, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, and thunders, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
He took the fire/coals filled the censer and threw it to the earth after He offered to Alauhym, and indication of the fulfillment of the heavenly pattern while the earthly was destroyed...notice there were noises/qolot, and thunders, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
Qolot means voices. There were many voices preaching different basarah ...a carnal/fleshy one.
What is the significance of the half an hour of silence?
Torah is silent of the time taken by Aharon or an appointed priest to offer the daily incense, and also there is no time frame mentioned of Aharon offering it on the Day of Atonement.
But we can understand from Luke 1:10 that it was an hour of incense and Zacharyah was a priest of the 8th division of priests set by David of the division of Abiyah
Luke 1:5 There was in the days of Herodes, the sovereign of Yehuḏah, a certain priest named Zeḵaryah, of the division of Aḇiyah. And his wife was of the daughters of Aharon, and her name was Elisheḇa.
6 And they were both righteous before Elohim, blamelessly walking in all the commands and righteousnesses of יהוה.
7 And they had no child, because Elisheḇa was barren, and both were advanced in years.
8 And it came to be, that while he was serving as priest before Elohim in the order of his division,
9 according to the institute of the priesthood, he was chosen by lot to burn incense when he went into the Dwelling Place of יהוה.
*10 And the entire crowd of people was praying outside at the hour of incense*.
11 And a messenger of יהוה appeared to him, standing on the right side of the slaughter-place of incense.
Since it was a daily incense hour how come a normal priest could offer incense and not a high priest?
Only about 80 priests along with the chief priest out of the 24,000 were chosen for this task as set-apart to burn incense as seen in the account of Uzziah who took it upon himself in pride to offer incense and became leprous on account of it.
2Ch 26:16 But when he/Uzziah became strong his heart was lifted up, to his destruction, for he trespassed against יהוה his Elohim by entering the Hĕḵal of יהוה to burn incense on the altar of incense.
2Ch 26:17 And Azaryahu the priest went in after him, and with him were eighty priests of יהוה, who were valiant/chayil sons/ban.
2Ch 26:18 And they stood up against Sovereign Uzziyahu, and said to him, “It is not for you, Uzziyahu, to burn incense to יהוה, but for the priests, the sons of Aharon, who are set-apart to burn incense. Get out of the set-apart place, for you have trespassed, and there is no esteem to you from יהוה Elohim.”
2Ch 26:19 And Uzziyahu was wroth. And he had a censer in his hand to burn incense. And while he was wroth with the priests, leprosy broke out on his forehead, before the priests in the House of יהוה, beside the incense altar.
2Ch 26:20 And Azaryahu the chief priest and all the priests (80) looked at him, and saw that he was leprous on his forehead. And they hurried him from there. And he also hurried to get out, because יהוה had struck him.
We see the 80 priests set-apart to burn incense stood against Uzziah (verse 18), these were valiant sons among priests who stood in the court of the king along with the chief priests. There is no mention of division of this special lot in scriptures in Torah but the fact that these may have been chosen among all priests as stated in 2 Chron 26:17 ...’who were vailant sons’ after the incident of Korah and the company being destoryed for offering incense as stated in Numbers 16:40
Num 16:39 And Elʽazar the priest took the bronze fire holders, which those who were burned up had brought, and they were beaten out as a covering on the altar –
Num 16:40 a remembrance to the children of Yisra’ĕl that no stranger who is not of the seed of Aharon, should come near to offer incense before יהוה, and not be like Qoraḥ and his company – as יהוה had said to him through Mosheh.
Num 16:40 a remembrance to the children of Yisra’ĕl that no stranger who is not of the seed of Aharon, should come near to offer incense before יהוה, and not be like Qoraḥ and his company – as יהוה had said to him through Mosheh.
Zecharyah the priest of the division of Abiyah would have been one of these valiant sons among priests who would without fear being set-apart to Yahuah go in to offer the incense in the Dwelling Place. That's why when he doubted the words of the Angel he was struck with dumbness until the promise made was fulfilled as more accountability is expected from a special class of priests.
These are the 24 divisions of the priests David appointed to serve in the tabernacle:
1Ch 24:3 And Dawiḏ, with Tsaḏoq of the sons of Elʽazar, and Aḥimeleḵ of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to their offices in their service.
1Ch 24:4 And there were more leaders found of the sons of Elʽazar than of the sons of Ithamar. So they divided the sons of Elʽazar into sixteen heads of their fathers’ houses, and the sons of Ithamar into eight heads of their fathers’ houses.
1Ch 24:5 And they were divided by lot, one group as another, for there were officials of the set-apart place and officials of Elohim, from the sons of Elʽazar and from the sons of Ithamar.
1Ch 24:6 And the scribe, Shemayah son of Nethanĕ’l, one of the Lĕwites, wrote them down before the sovereign, and the rulers, and Tsaḏoq the priest, and Aḥimeleḵ son of Eḇyathar, and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the priests and Lĕwites, one father’s house taken for Elʽazar and one for Ithamar.

The 24,000 priests divided by lot of 1,000 per division x 24 can be seen in the spiritual picture of 24 elders seated around the throne.
1 Chronicles 24:4-5 tells us that the sons of Eleazar were more than Ithamar and 16 heads were chosen from Eleazar and 8 from Ithamar.
1Ch 24:5 And they were divided by lot, one group as another, for there were officials of the set-apart place and officials of Elohim, from the sons of Elʽazar and from the sons of Ithamar.
Nadab and Abhihu were killed by Yahuah for offering strange incense and hence only Eleazar and Ithamar remained of the sons of Aaron from whom these 24 heads were chosen.
We saw 80 of these valiant ones were appointed to even offer incense. Zacharyah was advanced in age and the Yahudite Talmud says lots were cast for priests to be in this special category of replicating the duty of a high priest of offering incense.
Each division of the other priests changed every week on a Shabbat.
Each division of the other priests changed every week on a Shabbat.
Coming back to the hour of incense:
The daily incense was and could be only offered when the first lamb offering is made at 9am for the golden censer had to have the live coals from the brazen altar. Remember Nadab and Abhihu were killed because they offered strange fire i.e. the source of their fire was not the live coals from the brazen altar and hence they were killed by Yahuah.
The second time an incense offering was and could be made during the second male lamb offering at 3pm called as the 9th hour.
Daily two male offerings:
Exo 29:38 “And this is what you prepare on the slaughter-place: two lambs, a year old, daily, continually.
39 “Prepare the one lamb in the morning, and the other lamb you prepare between the evenings,
So coming to the Zacharyah account, while we cannot know whether he was offering the incense offering in the morning or evening but it was an hour of incense offering while the people were praying outside and the people marvelled that he tarried so long...which means he would have been for more than an hour in the Set apart place speaking with the Messenger Gabriel.
The 9am (third hour) and the 3pm (9th hour) are of great significance as Yahusha was impaled at the third hour and cried out at 9th hour.
Mark 15:25 And it was the third hour, and they impaled Him
Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour יהושע cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Ěli, Ěli, lemah sheḇaqtani?” that is, “My Ěl, My Ěl, why have You forsaken Me?”
The exact time of the hour of offering of the lamb and then the incense.
The half an hour of silence is in reference to the 9th hour. How do we know this?
It's because the veil of the temple was torn from top to bottom.
Acts 3:1 says it was the 9th hour when Kepha and Yahuchanan went the hour of prayer
Acts 3:1 And Kĕpha and Yoḥanan were going up to the Set-apart Place at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.
Cornelius was praying at the 9th hour when he encountered a visit from a Messenger of Aluahym. Being a Yahudite in dispersion he still observed the hour of prayer.
The 9th hour is significant as when Yahusha cried again the veil was torn from top to bottom and it's evident that there was an interruption in the hour of incense
Matthew 27:50 And יהושע cried out again with a loud voice, and gave up His spirit.
51 And see, the veil of the Dwelling Place was torn in two from top to bottom, and the earth was shaken, and the rocks were split,
No priest standing in the Set apart place would continue with the incense hour with a Most Set apart place veil torn from top to bottom. He would have fled for his life to avoid being killed by Yahuah.
With the silence in heaven for the half an hour there was a transition from the physical to a spiritual pattern as the fire of the altar was cast to the earth.
YashaYahu 1:1 The vision of Yeshayahu son of Amots, which he saw concerning Yehuḏah and Yerushalayim in the days of Uzziyahu, Yotham, Aḥaz, Ḥizqiyahu – sovereigns of Yehuḏah.
I was looking up on Chapter 6 on in the year that king Uzziyahu died.
Uzziyahu died in 742 BC and that was probably the year Yashayahu was appointed in the office of a prophet in the year Uzziyahu died.
YashaYahu stood as prophet 1 year in the time of Uzziyahu and 16 years of the reign of his son Yotham, 16 years in the reign of his son Ahaz and 29 years in the reign of Hezekiah -total 62 years as a prophet
In the year Uzziyahu died YashaYahu had a vision and that vision took him to the Set apart place in the heykal where he saw Yahuah high and lifted up and his hem/shul filled the temple
And on the upper side he saw the saraphs/fiery serpents
And the picture is of the veil of the Most Set apart place open and that's why he said Woe is me ....one of the fiery serpents/saraph flew and took the live coal which came from the brazen altar to the incense altar, he took with the tongs of the altar and touched YashaYahu's lips.
The fiery serpents covered their face with their two wings/kanaph...the face/panayam which shows that the execution of Yahuah's wrath is withheld by the two kanaph/H3670 ...the same word means to be hidden from view or thrust aside
The fiery serpents covered their face with their two wings/kanaph...the face/panayam which shows that the execution of Yahuah's wrath is withheld by the two kanaph/H3670 ...the same word means to be hidden from view or thrust aside
The same saraph's as serpents had bit Yasharalites in the wilderness and Masha was asked to make a nachashath/brazen serpent/saraph and anyone bitten by a serpent with their face looked at it were healed.
With two he hid/H3670 his feet/ragal which shows a restraining of the judgment for not walking in the Torah
And with the two kanaph/concealed or hidden they covered or elevated/auph which shows the Torah was in enforcement
In the same place Uzziyahu was struck with leprosy for offering incense ...now here in the same place was Yashayahu and there was no much smoke to cover the mercy seat and hence Yahuah's train or hem/shul filled the heykal
It's interesting that it was Hezekiah himself who destroyed the nachashath Masha had made
2Kings 18:4 He took away the high places and broke the pillars, and cut down the Ashĕrah, and broke in pieces the bronze serpent which Mosheh had made, for until those days the children of Yisra’ĕl burned incense to it, and called it Neḥushtan.
Notice Yasharal burned incense to the Nachashatan
Hezekiah was not even born when Yahuah showed the saraph's which he has restrained for generations after Masha were burning incense to it
Whereas the saraph's in the vision were giving all esteem to Yahuah saying Qodesh Qodesh Qodesh is Yahuah tsabaoth, the whole earth is filled with His esteem
And Yahuah had restrained His wrath by not allowing the saraph's to bite and devour, instead he shows mercy to Yashayahu by cleansing his mouth with the live coal through the saraph for seeing him from behind the veil
Yahusha was that Messenger of Aluahym with much incense at the Mikhqad altar near which he was impaled on the Mount of Olives transitioning the entire pattern to its Completeness in the Ruach in Himself.
Re 2:1 ¶ Unto the messenger of the aseembly of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
Ex 29:39 The one lamb you shall offer in the morning and the other lamb you shall offer between the evenings;
Ex 29:40 and there shall be one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with one-fourth of a hin of beaten oil, and one-fourth of a hin of wine for a drink offering with one lamb.
Ex 29:41 The other lamb you shall offer between the evenings, you shall make to it as the grain offering of the morning, and as its drink offering, for a sweet fragrance, by a fire offering to Yahuah.
And also it was an indication of this day being tied to the Day of Yahuah as prophesied by Zacharyah of the earthquake and the darkness and that at evening time there shall be light
Mat 27:45 And from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land, until the ninth hour.
Mat 27:46 And about the ninth hour יהושע cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Ěli, Ěli, lemah sheḇaqtani?” that is, “My Ěl, My Ěl, why have You forsaken Me?”
Mat 27:50 And יהושע cried out again with a loud voice, and gave up His spirit.
Mat 27:51 And see, the veil of the Dwelling Place was torn in two from top to bottom, and the earth was shaken, and the rocks were split,
Zec 14:5 And you shall flee to the valley of My mountain – for the valley of the mountains reaches to Atsal. And you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziyah sovereign of Yehuḏah. And יהוה my Elohim shall come – all the set-apart ones with You.
Zec 14:6 And in that day it shall be: there is no light, it is dark.
Zec 14:7 And it shall be one day which is known to יהוה, neither day nor night, but at evening time there shall be light.
In the parable of the wise and foolish almah's the cry that the bridegroom is coming was made at midnight watch which is the second watch and they trimmed their lamps to go out to meet the bridegroom.
Ex 29:40 and there shall be one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with one-fourth of a hin of beaten oil, and one-fourth of a hin of wine for a drink offering with one lamb.

Matt 25:6 “But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’”
These were the very watches where the lampstands were kept burning from evening till morning covering the four watches.
The lamps of the lampstands and the shewbread:
A lampstand had 7 lamps/nar. In the Masha's pattern there was only 1 lampstand placed at the south facing the table of shewbread which was placed in the north. Hence 1 x 7 = 7 lamps/nar and 1 x 12 unleavened cakes = 12 (twelve tribes)
In Shelemoh's pattern given to him by David his father he made 10 lampstands where five were placed at the right and five at the left before 10 tables of shewbread which again were five on the right and five on the left. Hence 10 x 7 = 70 lamps/nar and 10 x 12 = 120 unleavened cakes (120 in upper room)
In the renewed covenant Yahuchanan saw Yahusha standing in the midst of seven lampstands, hence 7 x 7 = 49 lamps/nar, but he didn't see the shewbread as Yahusha is the unleavened bread that came down from heaven and he was in the midst/middle of the 7 lampstands.
Heb 9:1 Now the first covenant indeed had regulations of worship and the earthly set-apart place.
Heb 9:2 For a Tent was prepared: the first part, in which was the lampstand, and the table, and the showbread, which is called the Set-apart Place.
We see a pattern of multiples of 7 in all three types of lampstands (1, 10 & 7) about which Turah testifies examples: 7 days, One week, Shabbat the 7th day, the 49 days from firstfruits to Shabout/Pentecost, 49 years to a 50th year of jubilee etc.
When we come to see the wise and foolish almah's we don't see them carrying a lampstand each but one lamp/nar each i.e. 1 x 10
The above is a picture of the lamp/nar.
How does this relate to the 10 lampstands of the first temple?
At evening time the high priest was to light the seven lamps/nar of each lampstand. He always began by lighting the center candle branch called 'shamash' which means 'servant/attendant/helper' by the lamp/nar as seen in the picture above. The center branch is called the Shamash which is the word used for the ‘Sun’ and Yahusha is said to be as the Sun of Righteousness with healing in his wings (Mal 4:2).
Mal 4:2 “But to you who fear My Name the Sun/shamash H8121 of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings. And you shall go out and leap for joy like calves from the stall.
Each branch of the lampstand had a nar/lamp over it as seen in the picture below which was similar to the lamp/nar in the picture above but maybe little smaller in size as per the dimensions to be set over the lampstand (see the pic below). The high priest would light the center branch lamp/nar first and then from that branch lamp/nar he would take the light and light the other 6 branches lamps/nar. Hence the center branch was called Shamash which means ‘Servant/Attendant/helper’.
Matt 25:8 “The foolish said to the prudent, ‘Give us some of your oil,
for our lamps are going out.’”
Matt 25:9 “But the prudent answered saying, ‘No, there shall not be enough for us and you too;
go instead to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.’”
Matt 25:10 “And while they were going away to make the purchase, the bridegroom came,
and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.”
Matt 25:11 “Later the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Our Master, Our Master, open up for us.’”
Matt 25:12 “But he answered and said, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you.’”
Matt 25:13 “Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour,
(when the Son of Man shall come).”
The foolish went to buy the oil from Yahudism (Judaism) and while they were gone the bridegroom came and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding and the door was shut. The foolish almah's five where number five stands for both Turah of sin/khat and death/muth and Turah of grace/chan, in their case it's the Turah of sin/khat and death/muth as they never transitioned to the renewal. While the wise almah's transitioned into the renewal in getting married with the bridegroom in the renewed covenant. The foolish virgins probably came with the oil they bought from Judaism and realize their mistake after the door is shut and they would never get inside. They were on an extended journey and touched the dead body of Masha.
Jud 1:9 But Miḵa’ĕl the chief messenger, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Mosheh, presumed not to bring against him a blasphemous accusation, but said, “יהוה rebuke you!”
For details on the 'Body of Masha' please refer to my study here:

Num 9:9 And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,
Num 9:10 “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘When any male of you or your generations is unclean for touching a dead body, or is far away on a journey, he shall still perform the Passover of יהוה.
Num 9:11 ‘On the fourteenth day of the second month, between the evenings, they perform it – with unleavened bread and bitter herbs they eat it.
Num 9:12 ‘They do not leave of it until morning, and they do not break a bone of it. According to all the laws of the Passover they perform it.
Num 9:13 ‘But the man who is clean and is not on a journey, and has failed to perform the Passover, that same being shall be cut off from among his people, because he did not bring the offering of יהוה at its appointed time – that man bears his sin.
Num 9:14 ‘And when a stranger sojourns among you, then he shall perform the Passover of יהוה. He shall do so according to the law of the Passover and according to its right-ruling. You have one law, both for the stranger and the native of the land.’ ”
We see another beautiful picture of sanctification and judgment in the Pesach Sheni (2nd Passover) which was a provision for those on a journey or those having touched a dead body and couldn't keep the first Pesach on the 14th day of the first month could keep it on the 14th day of the second month. This was the only feast behind closed doors and the only feast that could be kept for the specified reasons in the second month on the 14th day. This shows how this feast relates to being knit to Yahuah in a covenant marriage and shows his both first and second coming. The second month Pesach for our uncleanliness (in doing fleshly things according to the literal commandments of Turah and not in the renewal) as depicted by they all slumbered and slept behind closed doors while the bridegroom tarried i.e. didn't arrive at the appointed time as expected (Mark 13:35) and at the same time deception for others who went to buy from Judaism. The actual arriving could be in the Pesach sheni as it shows a tarrying time for the cleansing of the wise almah's to get into the actual role of the servant/helper/attendant while the foolish almah's go seeking teachers from the Judaism lot in keeping the carnal appeasements shown as them having some oil but not sufficient.
Lastly reaching the transition of the renewal in Mashiyach the wise almah's were able to share their light as a servant/helper/attendant to the other branches and hence we see 5 grace/chan x 7 lamps/nar (completeness)
Matt 6:22 “The eye is the lamp/nar of the body; so then if your eye is clear,
your whole body shall be enlightened.”
Matt 6:23 “But if your eye is evil, your whole body shall be darkened.
If then the light that is within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!”
Luk 11:34 “The lamp/nar of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, all your body also is enlightened. But when your eye is evil, your body also is darkened
Luk 11:35 “See to it therefore that the light which is in you is not darkness.
Luk 11:36 “If then all your body is enlightened, having no part dark, all shall be enlightened, as when the bright shining of a lamp/nar gives you light.”
We have two eyes, a two fold witness as a physical sense to 'witness/see/discern/percieve' and if the eyes witness/see/discern & perceive the journey of completeness in Mashiyach by being renewed in Him then the whole body will be full of light but if the eye is not able to discern then the whole body is full of darkness as the eyes cannot exercise the discernment.
Matt 5:15 “also, nor does anyone light a lamp/nar and put it under a basket,
but on the lampstand/menorah, and it gives light to all who are in the house.”
Matt 5:16 “So shine your light before the sons of the men
so that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in the heavens.”
May Yahuah bring each and every child of his to a complete renewal in Mashiyach, into his completeness in being renewed in him.
