When we read Psalms we tend to skip the title of the Pslams and read just the verses but the titles are there for a reason and are dabar of Aluahym and we must understand what they mean in relation to the Psalms as it gives a deep insight to the cry the Psalmist makes to Yahuah. Some Psalms have 22 alaphbet of the Abary language giving a description of each letter in the verse. We won't go through the Psalms with the 22 alaphbet of the Abary verses but will look at the Pslams in general. Daud separated some of the sons of Asaph, Heman and Yeduthun to prophesy with lyres, with harps and with cymbals.
1Ch 25:1 And Dawiḏ and the commanders of the army separated for the service some of the sons of Asaph, and of Hĕman, and of Yeḏuthun, who should prophesy with lyres, with harps, and with cymbals. And the number of the workmen according to their service was:
1Ch 25:2 Of the sons of Asaph: Zakkur, and Yosĕph, and Nethanyah, and Ashar’ĕlah, the sons of Asaph at the hands of Asaph, who prophesied at the hands of the sovereign.
1Ch 25:3 Of Yeḏuthun, the sons of Yeḏuthun: Geḏalyahu, and Tseri, and Yeshayahu, Ḥashaḇyahu, and Mattithyahu, six, under the hands of their father Yeḏuthun, who prophesied with a lyre to give thanks and to praise יהוה.
1Ch 25:4 Of Hĕman, the sons of Hĕman: Buqqiyahu, Mattanyahu, Uzzi’ĕl, Sheḇu’ĕl, and Yerimoth, Ḥananyah, Ḥanani, Eliyathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-Ezer, Yoshbeqashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Maḥaziyoth.
1Ch 25:5 All these were the sons of Hĕman the sovereign’s seer in the words of Elohim, to exalt his horn. For Elohim gave Hĕman fourteen sons and three daughters.
1Ch 25:6 All these were at the hands of their father for song in the House of יהוה, with cymbals, harps and lyres, for the service of the House of Elohim: Asaph, Yeḏuthun, and Hĕman, at the hands of the sovereign.
1Ch 25:7 And the number of them, with their brothers who were taught in the songs of יהוה, all who were skilled, was two hundred and eighty-eight.
Who were these singers with harps prophesying?
It comes from the root word zamar which means Pluck/Music/Melody
The scroll of Psalms in Abary is ''Saphar Tahalyam'' where hal rooted means shine, halal & tahal means praise and with the 'yam' at the end 'Tahalyam' means 'Praises'. Hence the correct English translation would be 'Scroll of Praises'
Mazmur and Tahalyam are translated as Psalm/s whereas the Mazmur is the melody made through plucking of strings/music and Tahalyam are the praises using the Mazmur/melody/music.
Maz/Mazah- H4198 means 'Exhaust' and 'Zamar'-H2167 means plucking of strings and the same word H2168 means prune as in pruning the vineyard. The picture is of 'Using the resource at hand completely in making a beautiful and acceptable melody to Yahuah'. The 'pruner' also prunes the vineyard completely to make the vineyard ready for the Master.
The Melody and the Pruner is Mashiyach who is the sweet ascending music to Yahuah and the one who keeps the garden/vineyard of Yahuah. The Mazmur is prophetic of the ascending melody who is Mashiyach.
The enemy comes in like a flood but the understanding of what's happening with you comes when you understand what the Psalmist through the ruach of prophesy on the harp is prophesying using the word 'nachaylah' means.
Psa 6:1 To the chief Musician on Nagyanah upon Shamyanyath, A Psalm of David.
We already saw what 'Nagyanah' means- oppression from morning. Since morning the Psalmist oppressed his soul before Yahuah in his cry. Here Daud by the ruach uses the words 'Nagyanah upon Shamyanyath'
Shamyanyath: Strong's says it's probably an eight stringed lyre
The word Shamyanyath has the root word 'shamyanay' which means 'eight/eighth'
Shamyanay: Eight/Eighth
The word Shamyanayth/Shamyanay has the word shaman in it which means 'oil'. The oil was used in the OT as the anointing oil to set apart Aharon and his sons, the vessels of the tabernacle, the ark etc
It also has root words 'sham' which means breath and 'yan' which means wine
Sham: means breath
Yan: Wine
Yath-H3487 is the 'hand mark' (yod tau) and is closely related to the alaph tau
Whether Shamyanayth means an eight stringed lyre the root words show the sham/breath, shaman/oil, shamyanay/eight,yan/wine and yath/hand mark in the Psalmist pouring his breath/sham out to Yahuah as oil/shaman in weeping as though in wine/yan and reminding him of his promise of being in the covenant/yath in oppression from morning/Nagyanah
1Sa 1:13 And Ḥannah spoke in her heart, only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. So Ěli thought she was drunk.
The heart is the instrument on which plays up the words which one pours out to Yahuah in deep distress.
Psa 6:1 O יהוה, do not rebuke me in Your displeasure, Nor discipline me in Your wrath.

1Sa 24:7 And Dawiḏ dispersed his servants with words, and did not allow them to rise against Sha’ul. And Sha’ul rose up from the cave and went on his way.
2Sa 1:14 And Dawiḏ said to him, “How was it you were not afraid to stretch out your hand to destroy the anointed of יהוה?”
2Sa 1:15 And Dawiḏ called one of the young men and said, “Draw near and fall on him!” And he smote him so that he died.
2Sa 1:16 And Dawiḏ said to him, “Your blood is on your own head, for your own mouth has witnessed against you, saying, ‘I myself have put to death the anointed of יהוה.’ ”
King Saul was once said to be whether he was from the prophets as he had prophesied and Shiggayon is a song of intoxication of error which Cush (referring to king Saul) made in pursuing Daud who was innocent. Daud knew that Yahuah had departed from Saul and that he used to call Daud to play the harp when a distressing spirit came upon Saul and in this he had also tried to kill Daud by throwing the spear towards him.
1Sa 10:11 And it came to be, all who knew him formerly looked and saw that he prophesied among the prophets. So the people said to each other, “What is this that has come upon the son of Cush? Is Sha’ul also among the prophets?”
1Sa 16:14 And the Spirit of יהוה turned aside from Sha’ul, and an evil spirit from יהוה troubled him.
1Sa 16:15 And the servants of Sha’ul said to him, “Look, now, an evil spirit from Elohim is troubling you.
1Sa 16:16 “Please, let our master command your servants who are before you, to seek out a man who is a skilled player on the lyre. And it shall be that when the evil spirit from Elohim is upon you, that he shall play with his hand, and you be well.”
1Sa 16:22 Sha’ul therefore sent to Yishai, saying, “Please let Dawiḏ stand before me, for he has found favour in my eyes.”
1Sa 16:23 And it came to be, whenever the evil spirit from Elohim was upon Sha’ul, that Dawiḏ would take a lyre and play it with his hand. Then Sha’ul would become refreshed and well, and the evil spirit would leave him. `
Shiggayon is also used by Habakuk in 3:1
Hab 3:1 A prayer of Ḥaḇaqquq the prophet, on Shiḡionoth.
Habakuk says he has heard Yahuah's report and was afraid and pleads with Yahuah to remember compassion when in wrath. He pleads for the errors people of Yahuah when Yahuah is marching in judgment.
Hab 3:13 You shall go forth to save Your people, To save Your Anointed. You shall smite the Head from the house of the wrong, By laying bare from foundation to neck. Selah.
Hab 3:14 You shall pierce with his own arrows The head of his leaders. They stormed along to scatter me, Rejoicing as if to devour the poor in secret.
Hab 3:15 You shall tread the sea with Your horses, The foaming of many waters.
Hab 3:17 Though the fig tree does not blossom, And there is no fruit on the vine, The yield of the olive has failed, And the fields brought forth no food, The flock has been cut off from the fold, And there is no herd in the stalls,

Gittith-H1665 גִּתִּית
This word has 3 occurrences in the Psalms Psalms 8:1, Psalms 81:1 & Psalms 84:1
Strong's translates this word as a harp and says it's feminine of H1663 'gatay' who is an inhabitant of Gath, a Gittite.
It's interesting to see that 'Gath' was a Philistine city and Philistines were enemies of Yasharal. Goliath was a Gittite
2Sa 21:19 And there was a battle with the Philistines again at Goḇ, where Elḥanan son of Yaʽarĕy-Oreḡim the Bĕyth Leḥemite smote Golyath the Gittite H1663, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.
Psa 108:9 “Mo’aḇ is My wash-pot, Over Eḏom I cast My shoe, Over Philistia I raise a shout.”
Gittith is a shout of Praise to Yahuah on victory over their enemies. We must spiritually compare of the etomology of the words.
Examples of where this word Gittith is used : Ps 8:2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings have you ordained strength because of your enemies, that you might still the enemy and the avenger.
Psa 81:5 He appointed it in Yehosĕph for a witness, When He went throughout the land of Mitsrayim; I heard a language that I did not know.
Psa 81:6 He says, “I removed his shoulder from the burden; His hands were freed from the baskets.
Psa 81:7 “You called in distress, and I rescued you; I answered you in the covering of thunder; I proved you at the waters of Meriḇah. Selah.
The usage of this word 'Gittith' is different in Psalms 84
Psa 84:1 <<To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.>>How lovely are Your dwelling places, O יהוה of hosts!
Psa 84:2 My being has longed, and even fainted, For the courts of יהוה; My heart and my flesh cry out for the living Ěl.
It doesn't speak of victory over enemies but an intense desire to dwell with Yahuah in his dwelling place/tabernacle. What do we see here? It's amazing to see how Yahuah brings the lost sheep of the house of Yasharal from the ends of the earth. Speaking of Tsyion here is what Yahuah says
Psa 87:1 His foundation is In the set-apart mountains.
Psa 87:2 יהוה loves the gates of Tsiyon More than all the dwellings of Yaʽaqoḇ.
Psa 87:3 Esteemed matters are spoken of you, O city of Elohim: Selah.
Psa 87:4 “I mention Rahaḇ and Baḇel to those who know Me; See, O Philistia and Tsor, with Kush, ‘This and that one was born there.’ ”
1Ch 13:13 So Dawiḏ did not take the ark with him into the City of Dawiḏ, but took it aside into the house of Oḇĕḏ-Eḏom the Gittite.
1Ch 13:14 And the ark of Elohim remained with the household of Oḇĕḏ-Eḏom in his house three months. And יהוה blessed the house of Oḇĕḏ-Eḏom and all that he had.

Qorah rebelled against Yahuah’s anointed and was swallowed up by the earth, Yahuah showed mercy to his sons in saving them.
Num 26:11 but the sons of Qoraḥ did not die.
Yahuah placed these sons of Qorah in the tabernacle of David.

Prophet Shemuel was a descendant of Kohathite
1Sa 1:1 And there was a certain man of Ramathayim Tsophim, of the mountains of Ephrayim, and his name was Elqanah son of Yeroḥam, son of Elihu, son of Tohu, son of Tsuph, an Ephrayimite.
Compare with what we read in 1 Chr 6:33-38 above
The rebellion story begins with the Yasharalites of Masha's time as they journeyed through the wilderness just after leaving Egypt. In Numbers 3, Alahym set aside the Leuites, out of the tribes of Yasharal, for full time service to Him. They were ordained to take care of the tabernacle and all of its implements, as well as the Ark of the Covenant. Only the descendants of Aharon, however, were allowed to serve as priests.
The three sons of Leui were Gershon, Merari, and Kohath. The Gershonites were responsible for the care of the tabernacle and tent, its coverings, the curtain at the entrance to the tent of meeting, the curtains of the courtyard, the curtain at the entrance to the courtyard surrounding the tabernacle and altar, and the ropes—and everything related to their use (Numbers 4:24-28).
Num 4:24 “This is the service of the clans of the Gĕreshonites, in serving and in bearing burdens:
Num 4:25 “And they shall bear the curtains of the Dwelling Place and the Tent of Meeting with its covering, the covering of fine leather that is on it, the covering for the door of the Tent of Meeting,
Num 4:26 and the screens of the courtyard and the covering for the door of the gate of the courtyard, which is around the Dwelling Place and altar, and their cords, all the equipment for their service and all that is made for them – so shall they serve.
Num 4:27 “Aharon and his sons are to command all the service of the sons of the Gĕreshonites, all their burden and all their service. And you shall appoint to them all the duty of all their burden.
Num 4:28 “This is the service of the clans of the sons of Gĕreshon in the Tent of Meeting. And let their duties be under the hand of Ithamar, son of Aharon the priest.
The Merarites were appointed to take care of the frames of the tabernacle, its crossbars, posts, bases, all its equipment, and everything related to their use, as well as the posts of the surrounding courtyard with their bases, tent pegs, and ropes. (Numbers 4:29-33)
Num 4:29 “As for the sons of Merari, register them by their clans and by their fathers’ house.
Num 4:30 “Register them, from thirty years old and above, even to fifty years old, all who enter the service to do the work of the Tent of Meeting.
Num 4:31 “And this is the duty of their burden, according to all their service for the Tent of Meeting: the boards of the Dwelling Place, and its bars, and its columns, and its sockets,
Num 4:32 and the columns around the courtyard with their sockets, and their pegs, and their cords, with all their equipment and all their service. And assign to each by name the equipment of the duty of their burden.
Num 4:33 “This is the service of the clans of the sons of Merari, as all their service for the Tent of Meeting, under the hand of Ithamar, son of Aharon the priest.”
The Kohathites were responsible for the care of the sanctuary. They were responsible for the care of the ark, the table, the lamp stand, the altars, the articles of the sanctuary used in ministering, the curtain, and everything related to their use. They were under the direct supervision of Eleazar, son of Aaron.
Unlike the Gershonites and the Merarites, who were allowed to transport the items under their care on carts, the Kohathites had to carry their items, the qodesh ( holy) things of the tabernacle, on their shoulders. They had the arduous burden of transporting these items from place to place as the camp moved, but they were not allowed to actually touch the items or they would die. The priests had to wrap the sacred objects in special coverings before they were transported (Numbers 4:15).

Num 4:15 “And when Aharon and his sons have finished covering the set-apart objects and all the furnishings of the Set-apart Place at the breaking of camp, then the sons of Qehath shall come to lift them, but let them not touch that which is set-apart, lest they die. These matters are the burden of the sons of Qehath in the Tent of Meeting.
Many of the Kohathites began to disdain this task and to covet the role of the priests.
Qorah was the grandson of Kohath, and he began to run with another group of Reubenite namely, Dathan and Abiram, sons of Eliab, and On, son of Peleth. In pride, they roused a group of 250 men together to challenge the right of Masha and Aharon to the priesthood (Numbers 16). Masha summoned the rebellious men to stand before Alahym and burn incense. Alahym warned Masha to let the assembly know to get away from Qorah, Dathan, and Abiram, their households, and the other rebels. Then a remarkable and terrifying event happened.
Num 16:28 And Mosheh said, “By this you know that יהוה has sent me to do all these works, that they are not from my own heart.
Num 16:29 “If these die as all men do, or if they are visited as all men are visited, then יהוה has not sent me.
Num 16:30 “But if יהוה creates what is unheard of, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the grave, then you shall know that these men have scorned יהוה.”
Num 16:31 And it came to be, as he ended speaking all these words, that the ground under them split apart,
Num 16:32 and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men with Qoraḥ, with all their goods.
Num 16:33 So they and all those with them went down alive into the grave, and the earth closed over them, and they perished from the midst of the assembly.
Num 16:34 And all Yisra’ĕl who were round about them fled at their cry, for they said, “Lest the earth swallow us up!”
Num 16:35 And a fire came out from יהוה and consumed the two hundred and fifty men who were offering incense.
The tender mercies of Yahuah that he rose up the children of the one who rebelled against his anointed to be singers with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy. Even the prophet Shemuel was a descendant of Qorah. With the ark coming to rest in the land flowing with milk and honey and no more transportation required for the articles of the tabernacle of testimony the Kohatithes were now given the ministry of prophesying with harps, music and singing psalms to Yahuah.
With this background let's now move on to understand the titles in Psalms written which show the beauty of worship in prophecy.
Psalms 3:1 A Psalm/Mazmur of David, when he fled from the face of Absalom his son.

Nagyanah:
Nagyanah is translated as a song, instrument or music but when we break the word we see the brokeness.
Nag/nagah means 'morning/shine'
Yanah means to oppress/thrust
Nagyanah put together prophetically shows his soul in 'oppression from morning' and hence his cry to Yahuah
Psa 4:1 Answer me when I call, O Elohim of my righteousness! You gave relief to me when I was in distress; Show favour to me, and hear my prayer.
Psa 4:2 Till when, O you sons of men, Would you turn my esteem to shame, Would you love emptiness, seek falsehood? Selah.....
Psa 5:1 To the chief Musician/natsach upon Nachayalah, A Psalm of David.
Natsach: musician, set, overseer, excel, oversee, perpetual
Daud/David had appointed some of the Leuites/Levites to serve before the ark when they brought the ark of the testimony from the house of Obed-Edom
1Ch 16:4 And he appointed some of the Lĕwites to serve before the ark of יהוה, to bring to remembrance, and to thank, and to praise יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl:
1Ch 16:5 Asaph the chief, and his second Zeḵaryah, Yeʽi’ĕl, and Shemiramoth, and Yeḥi’ĕl, and Mattithyah, and Eliyaḇ, and Benayahu, and Oḇĕḏ-Eḏom, and Yeʽi’ĕl, with harps and lyres, but Asaph was sounding with cymbals;

Chaylah: means a wall/bulwark. What is bored through by the enemy to enter a city
Chay: means life/live
Strong's says H5155 is probably denominative from H2485 which is chaylil and means 'flute'. Strong's is not sure what the word nachaylah means. But when we look at the root words we can see the whole picture of the word.
The nach/rest, chay/life, nachal/inheritance is through the chal/pain or hole and the chaylah/what is bored through by the enemy to enter a city.

Cush was the father of king Saul who was a Benyamini (Benjamite) and probably this was a reference to king Saul that Daud used and named his father Cush instead of King Saul as Daud always feared to speak about/against Yahuah's anointed one Saul. It is evident that king Saul pursued Daud to kill him and the Psalm is a cry to Yahuah to deliver him from those who pursued him

King Saul was once said to be whether he was from the prophets as he had prophesied and Shiggayon is a song of intoxication of error which Cush (referring to king Saul) made in pursuing Daud who was innocent. Daud knew that Yahuah had departed from Saul and that he used to call Daud to play the harp when a distressing spirit came upon Saul and in this he had also tried to kill Daud by throwing the spear towards him.

Habakuk says he has heard Yahuah's report and was afraid and pleads with Yahuah to remember compassion when in wrath. He pleads for the errors people of Yahuah when Yahuah is marching in judgment.

Strong's translates this word as a harp and says it's feminine of H1663 'gatay' who is an inhabitant of Gath, a Gittite.
It's interesting to see that 'Gath' was a Philistine city and Philistines were enemies of Yasharal. Goliath was a Gittite
2Sa 21:19 And there was a battle with the Philistines again at Goḇ, where Elḥanan son of Yaʽarĕy-Oreḡim the Bĕyth Leḥemite smote Golyath the Gittite H1663, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.
Psa 108:9 “Mo’aḇ is My wash-pot, Over Eḏom I cast My shoe, Over Philistia I raise a shout.”
Gittith is a shout of Praise to Yahuah on victory over their enemies. We must spiritually compare of the etomology of the words.

Psa 81:5 He appointed it in Yehosĕph for a witness, When He went throughout the land of Mitsrayim; I heard a language that I did not know.

It doesn't speak of victory over enemies but an intense desire to dwell with Yahuah in his dwelling place/tabernacle. What do we see here? It's amazing to see how Yahuah brings the lost sheep of the house of Yasharal from the ends of the earth. Speaking of Tsyion here is what Yahuah says
Psa 87:1 His foundation is In the set-apart mountains.
Psa 87:2 יהוה loves the gates of Tsiyon More than all the dwellings of Yaʽaqoḇ.

Just a recap: The tender mercies of Yahuah that he rose up the children of the one who rebelled against his anointed to be singers with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy. Even the prophet Shemuel was a descendant of Qorah. With the ark coming to rest in the land flowing with milk and honey and no more transportation required for the articles of the tabernacle of testimony the Kohatithes were now given the ministry of prophesying with harps, music and singing psalms to Yahuah.

There were two Gath cities, one in Philistine and one in Yahudah and the Psalms where the word 'Gittite' is used portrays the victory of the children of Yasharal over their enemies and also the desire to be blessed by dwelling in the tabernacle of Yahuah which dwelt in ObedEdom's house who was blessed by Yahuah after he had killed Uzzah who also was a Qohite for touching the ark of the covenant for they were forbidden to touch the qodesh things like the ark, articles of the most set apart place.
David took men with him to collect the ark, rather than allowing Abinadab and his sons to bring it to him. That was a great mistake, since it ought never to have been put upon a cart, old or new. It was to be borne upon men's shoulders, and carried by Levites only, and those of the family of Qohath , using the poles prescribed.
Num 7:6 And Mosheh took the wagons and the cattle, and gave them to the Lĕwites.
Num 7:7 He gave two wagons and four cattle to the sons of Gĕreshon, according to their service.
Num 7:8 And he gave four wagons and eight cattle to the sons of Merari, according to their service, under the hand of Ithamar, son of Aharon the priest.
Num 7:9 But to the sons of Qehath he gave none, because theirs was the service of the set-apart objects, which they bore on their shoulders.
Exo 25:13 “And you shall make poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold,
Exo 25:14 and shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to lift up the ark by them.
2Sa 6:1 Now Dawiḏ again gathered all the chosen men of Yisra’ĕl, thirty thousand.
2Sa 6:2 And Dawiḏ rose up and went with all the people who were with him from Baʽalĕ Yehuḏah, to bring up from there the ark of Elohim, that is called by the Name, the Name יהוה of Hosts, who dwells between the keruḇim.
2Sa 6:3 And they placed the ark of Elohim on a new wagon, and brought it from the house of Aḇinaḏaḇ, which was on the hill. And Uzzah and Aḥyo, sons of Aḇinaḏaḇ, were leading the new wagon.
Daud/David was sore afraid of Yahuah because of his wrath which broke out against Uzzah and he would not move the ark of Yahuah with him into the City of Daud but set it aside to the house of ObedEdom the Gittite who dwelt in Gath in Yahudah.
2Sa 6:9 And Dawiḏ was afraid of יהוה on that day, and said, “How shall the ark of יהוה come to me?”
2Sa 6:10 And Dawiḏ would not move the ark of יהוה with him into the City of Dawiḏ, but Dawiḏ turned it aside to the house of Oḇĕḏ-Eḏom the Gittite.
2Sa 6:11 And the ark of יהוה remained in the house of Oḇĕḏ-Eḏom the Gittite three months, and יהוה blessed Oḇĕḏ-Eḏom and all his house.
1Ch 15:24 and Sheḇanyahu, and Yoshaphat, and Nethanĕ’l, and Amasai, and Zeḵaryahu, and Benayahu, and Eliʽezer, the priests, were to blow the trumpets before the ark of Elohim. And Oḇĕḏ-Eḏom and Yeḥiyah, were doorkeepers for the ark.
When it was told Daud that Yahuah had blessed ObedEdom and all his house because of the ark Daud went up to bring the ark from his house into the City of Daud and this time Yahuah himself helped the Leuites who bore the ark of the covenant on their shoulders. Thus he did it right this time.
2Ch 11:5 And Reḥaḇʽam dwelt in Yerushalayim, and built cities for a defence in Yehuḏah.
2Ch 11:6 And he built Bĕyth Leḥem, and Ěytam, and Teqowa,
2Ch 11:7 and Bĕyth Tsur, and Soḵo, and Aḏullam,
2Ch 11:8 and Gath, and Marĕshah, and Ziph,
2Ch 11:9 and Aḏorayim, and Laḵish, and Azĕqah,
2Ch 11:10 and Tsorʽah, and Ayalon, and Ḥeḇron, which are in Yehuḏah and Binyamin, cities of defence.
There were two Gath cities, one in Philistine and one in Yahudah and the Psalms where the word 'Gittite' is used portrays the victory of the children of Yasharal over their enemies and also the desire to be blessed by dwelling in the tabernacle of Yahuah which dwelt in ObedEdom's house who was blessed by Yahuah after he had killed Uzzah who also was a Qohite for touching the ark of the covenant for they were forbidden to touch the qodesh things like the ark, articles of the most set apart place.
David took men with him to collect the ark, rather than allowing Abinadab and his sons to bring it to him. That was a great mistake, since it ought never to have been put upon a cart, old or new. The name ObedEdom/Servant of Edom shows a deep spiritual meaning in it.
Gen 25:23 And יהוה said to her, “Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples shall be separated from your body. And one people shall be stronger than the other, and the older serve the younger.”
Gen 25:24 And when the days were filled for her to give birth, and see, twins were in her womb!
Gen 25:25 And the first came out red all over, like a hairy garment, so they called his name Ěsaw.
Gen 25:26 And afterward his brother came out, with his hand holding on to Ěsaw’s heel, so his name was called Yaʽaqoḇ. And Yitsḥaq was sixty years old when she bore them.
It was said the older shall serve the younger and the older was Esau the father of the nation of Edom while the younger was Yaaqob the father of Yasharal as his name was changed to Yasharal by the Angel of Yahuah with whom he wrestled and was said he prevailed with men and with Alahym.
All his life Yaaqob lived in fear of his elder brother Esau and it never looked physically that the older was serving the younger and it always looked vice-versa. He even called Esau his master
Gen 32:3 And Yaʽaqoḇ sent messengers before him to Ěsaw his brother in the land of Sĕʽir, the field of Eḏom

By the ark of Yahuah's covenant besides which Yaaqob would dwell he would rule over Esau of Edom who was cast out of the covenant/birthright.
