The Our Father Prayer in Paleo Hebrew

The Prayer taught by our Adon has been recited in Christianity as a mantra without understanding its significance and fulfillment. Within the prayer lies layers of divine intent, when unfolded brings out a beautiful picture of Divinity in creation with an intent of meeting his chosen creation at a heavenly level after redeeming it and revealing to it, His self, His intent and letting His chosen creation know where they need to put in their belief and effort to guard itself from the evil.

Translated as ''Our Father in the heavens, let Your Name be set-apart, let Your reign come, let Your desire be done on earth as it is in heaven''.

🌿 Abaynu 𐀀𐀁𐀉𐀍𐀅- Ahb π€€π€ H1: Aleph is in the Beyt π€- the Body.

Bayan 𐀁𐀉𐀍 H995 -Understanding

1Ki 3:11  So Elohim said to him, “Because you (Shelemoh) have asked this, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself discernment to understand/𐀁𐀉𐀍 H995 bayan H995 right-ruling,

Bayan π€π€‰π€ H996 also means 'a distinction/between'

Exo 8:23  “And I shall put a ransom between/𐀁𐀉𐀍 H996 My people and your people. Tomorrow this sign shall be.” ’

Yahuah put a distinction between His people and the people of Mitsrayim when He brought a plague.

Gen 1:6  And Elohim said, “Let an expanse come to be in the midst of the waters, and let it separate between/bayan π€π€‰π€ H996 the waters from the waters.”
Gen 1:7  And Elohim made the expanse, and separated between/bayan π€π€‰π€ H996 the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse. And it came to be so.

Hence, here Ahb dwelling in a body is Yahusha but distinct as the Son for baynu also has the ben/son 𐀁𐀍 rooted in the word.

🌊Shabashamayam π€”π€π€”π€Œπ€‰π€Œ- shab π€”𐀁 H7725 means 'turn/return'

Gen 18:10  And He said, “I shall certainly return/shub 𐀔𐀅𐀁 H7725 to you according to the time of life, and see, Sarah your wife is to have a son!” And Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him.

sham π€”π€Œ is the breath/name

Exo 3:15  And Elohim said further to Mosheh, “Thus you are to say to the children of Yisra’Δ›l, ‘Χ™Χ”Χ•Χ” Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of AαΈ‡raham, the Elohim of YitsαΈ₯aq, and the Elohim of Ya‛aqoαΈ‡, has sent me to you. This is My Name/sham π€”π€Œ H8034 forever, and this is My remembrance to all generations.’

mayam π€Œπ€‰π€Œ H4325 - waters

Gen 1:2  And the earth came to be formless and empty, and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of Elohim was moving on the face of the waters/mayam π€Œπ€‰π€Œ H4325.

🌊 π€”π€π€”π€Œπ€‰π€Œ – “Who is in the heavens”

  • 𐀔𐀁 (Shub) = to return, to turn back

  •  π€Œπ€‰π€Œ (Mayim) = waters (Mem-Yod-Mem suggests chaos or cleansing flow)

  • So π€”π€π€”π€Œπ€‰π€Œ literally pictures:

“Ahb in a body and distinct, giving understanding as to where He is as He returns to the waters (of heaven) i.e. heavenly pattern”

This echoes Genesis 1:2:

“And the Spirit of Elohim hovered over the face of the waters.”
It’s a picture of restoration and renewal, a return to the original intent of creation—pure and uncorrupted.

It also echoes Messiah seated in the heavenly pattern and we who see Him, seated with Him.

Eph 1:20  which He wrought in the Messiah when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenlies,

Eph 3:9  and to make all see how this secret is administered, which for ages past has been hidden in Elohim who created all through Χ™Χ”Χ•Χ©Χ’ Messiah,
Eph 3:10  so that now, through the assembly, the many-sided wisdom of Elohim might be known to the principalities and authorities in the heavenlies

πŸ”₯ π€‰π€•𐀒𐀃𐀔 Yathqadash– “May it be sanctified”

Breaking it down:

  • (𐀉𐀕 Yath) = Hand on the stake/Hand mark.

As a suffix:

In Hebrew grammar, 𐀉𐀕 (-it) is a common feminine suffix, or can sometimes mark “will be” when in future tense verbs.

As a word root:

While π€‰π€• is not a standalone root word in the Tanakh, it occurs within words like:

𐀕𐀇𐀕𐀉𐀕 (tachit) – under, beneath (foundation)

𐀋𐀁𐀍𐀉𐀕 (labanit) – brick (a made thing, work of hands)

Its also rooted in the word 𐀁𐀉𐀕 which is the 'house/body'

This ties into Messianic imagery:
πŸ‘ The hand (Yahusha’s hands pierced) securing the Tau (cross/covenant).

πŸ”₯ Prophetic Connections

1️⃣ Creation

  • 𐀉 (Yod) = Creator’s hand forming the heavens and earth

  • 𐀕 (Tav) = Covenant sealing creation (Genesis 2:1)

Gen 2:1  Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their array.

2️⃣ Messiah

  • Yod Tau hints at Messiah’s role: “By His hand (𐀉) He fulfilled and sealed the covenant (𐀕)”

  • John 19:30: “It is finished (τΡτέλΡσται)” = the Tau mark completed.

  • (𐀉𐀃 Yad) = hand (pictographically: work, power, authority)

Isaiah 52:10 – “Yahuah has bared His Set-Apart arm before the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our Elohim.”
  • 𐀒𐀃𐀔 (Q-D-Sh) = holy, set apart, distinct

  • Together it shows:

“By His hand He sets apart”
The Father Himself acts to make His Name set-apart—a work of His power in humility, not ours.

Ezekiel 36:23: “And I will sanctify My great Name which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst. And the nations shall know that I am Χ™Χ”Χ•Χ”,” declares the Master Χ™Χ”Χ•Χ”, “when I am set-apart in you before their eyes.

Joh 12:28  “Father, esteem Your Name.” Then a voice came from the heaven, “I have both esteemed it and shall esteem it again.”

πŸ‘‘ π€”π€Œπ€Š 𐀕𐀁𐀅𐀀 π€Œπ€‹π€Šπ€…π€•π€Š – “Your Name… Your kingdom come”
    • π€”π€Œπ€Š (Shemcha) = Your name (character, reputation, authority)

    • 𐀕𐀁𐀅𐀀 (Tabua) = May it come (He/it is coming)

    • π€Œπ€‹π€Šπ€…π€•π€Š (Malkhutka) = Your kingdom/reign
      This carries a flowing thought:

“He who comes (𐀕𐀁𐀅𐀀) brings His Name and His reign (π€Œπ€‹π€Šπ€…π€•π€Š).”

This is profoundly Messianic—Yahusha embodies the coming of the Father’s Name and Kingdom (John 17:6 “I have manifested Your Name…”).

The Picture We See:

✔ The Father (𐀀𐀁) in a body as the Son (𐀁𐀍) who gives understanding (𐀁𐀉𐀍)
✔ The return (𐀔𐀁) to the cleansing waters (π€Œπ€‰π€Œ) of heaven i.e. the heavenly pattern
✔ The hand (𐀉𐀃) that sets apart (𐀒𐀃𐀔) His Name to its fulfillment with the hands impaled to the stake (yath 𐀉𐀕).
✔ His coming (𐀕𐀁𐀅𐀀) to establish His kingdom reign (
π€Œπ€‹π€Šπ€…π€•π€Š)

This is Genesis intent fulfilled:
Creation fell into chaos → Yah restores by returning heaven’s waters to earth in His Kingdom with His name as the name of the Son.

 π€‰π€”𐀏 π€“π€‘π€…π€π€Š π€Šπ€Œπ€… π€π€”π€Œπ€‰π€Œ 𐀊𐀍 𐀁𐀀𐀓𐀑

πŸŒΏπ€‰π€”π€ – “He will do”

  • From root 𐀏𐀔𐀄 (asah) = to do, to make, to accomplish, to perform

  • Third person masculine singular = “He will do” or “let Him do”

  • This points directly to Yahuah as the one acting. It is not our doing—it is His.

If you read 𐀄𐀔𐀏 as “the hour” it carries:

  • An appointed moment of judgment or redemption (the hour has come)

  • πŸ‘ A time of watching, waiting, and discerning

Paleo Meaning
𐀄𐀔𐀏 the hour, the appointed time, a watch

This ties perfectly to verses like:
πŸ“– John 12:23 – “The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified.”
πŸ“– Matthew 26:45 – “Behold, the hour is at hand…”

Insight: In the Adon's Prayer, this aligns with Messiah’s submission:

“Not My will, but Yours be done” (Luke 22:42)
Here the doing is creative and restorative—the same root
𐀏𐀔𐀄 describes Elohim's work in Genesis 1 which will be revealed in time.

πŸ”₯π€“π€‘π€…π€π€Š – “Your desire / will”

  • From π€“𐀑𐀅𐀍 (ratsun) = pleasure, desire, favor, will

  • With suffix -𐀊 (-ka) = Your desire
    So:

“He will do Your desire” = Yahuah’s good pleasure shall be accomplished.

✨ Isa 49:8  Thus said 𐀉𐀄𐀅𐀄, “In a favorable/𐀓𐀑𐀍𐀍𐀉 H7522 time I shall answer You, and in the day of deliverance I shall help You – and I guard You and give You for a covenant of the people, to restore the earth, to cause them to inherit the ruined inheritances,

Psa 143:10  Teach me to do Your good pleasure/𐀓𐀑𐀍𐀍𐀉 H7522, For You are my Elohim. Let Your good Spirit lead me In the land of straightness.

This also carries Kingdom language—His reign means His desire fully expressed on earth.

🌊“ π€Šπ€Œπ€… π€π€”π€Œπ€‰π€Œ As in the heavens”

  • π€Šπ€Œπ€… (kemo) = as, like

  • π€π€”π€Œπ€‰π€Œ (bashamayim) = in the heavens

This shows the heavenly pattern as the model.
✨ Exodus 25:40: “See that you make them after their pattern/𐀕𐀁𐀍𐀉𐀕 H8403, which is being shown you on the mountain.”

Here we also see 'yath π€‰π€•' as a suffix showing that the earthy pattern denoted by 'Taban π€•𐀁𐀍' which means 'Straw' was a passing shadow.

Here it speaks of alignment: the order of heaven brought to earth and the earthy makes way for the heavenly.

🌱𐀊𐀍 𐀁𐀀𐀓𐀑 – “Surely also in the earth”

  • 𐀊𐀍 (ken) = surely, even so, likewise

  •  π€π€€π€“𐀑 (ba’aretz) = in the earth
This emphasizes certainty—what is true above must be true below. Heaven’s perfection will fill earth’s brokenness.

✨ Echoes Habakkuk 2:14:

“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Yahuah as the waters cover the sea.”

✨ Prophetic Picture

He will do (𐀉𐀏𐀔𐀄) → the Father Himself acts
His desire (
π€“π€‘π€…π€π€Š) → His will, pleasure, plan
as in the heavens (
π€Šπ€Œπ€… π€π€”π€Œπ€‰π€Œ) → perfect alignment with heaven’s order

surely in the earth (𐀊𐀍 𐀁𐀀𐀓𐀑) → earth restored as a mirror of heaven

This mirrors Genesis 1:1 → Genesis 1:26–28:

Heaven and earth created → humanity placed to bear His image and govern in alignment.

And now, Messiah teaches us to call that reality/intent back down

Luke 11:3 π€€π€•-π€‹π€‡π€Œ 𐀇𐀒𐀍𐀅 𐀕𐀍 𐀋𐀍𐀅 π€‰π€…π€Œ π€‰π€…π€Œ

Translated as “Give us day by day our daily bread”

 πŸŒΏπ€€π€• (Aleph-Tau)

  • The famous אΧͺ (Aleph‑Tav) is the direct object marker in Hebrew grammar.

  • But spiritually, it often points to Messiah:

    • Aleph (𐀀) = first letter, strength, leader

    • Tav (𐀕) = last letter, covenant, cross mark

“I am the Aleph and the Tau…” (Revelation 22:13)

Here,  π€€π€• marks Messiah as the source of bread.

πŸžπ€‹π€‡π€Œ (Lechem) – “Bread”

  • π€‹π€‡π€Œ = bread, food, provision

  • Root also relates to warfare (π€‹π€‡π€Œ): because bread is what sustains life.

Exo 14:14  “Χ™Χ”Χ•Χ” does fight/H3898 π€‹π€‡π€Œ for you, and you keep silent.”
  • Prophetic layers:

    • Exodus 16:4 “Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you”

    • John 6:35 “I am the bread of life…”

The war is spiritual against the enemy who tries to change our focus to the carnal bread for sustenance. We with Messiah as the Captain of the hosts denoted by Aleph Tau receive Him, the spiritual bread which nourishes our soul.

πŸ“œ π€‡π€’𐀍𐀅 (Chuqeinu) – “Our daily/appointed portion”

From π€‡π€’(choq) = statute, decree, ordinance, appointed portion.

With suffix π€π€… (-nu) = “our”

✨ So π€‡π€’𐀍𐀅 = “our statute, our appointed portion”

This ties to Exodus 16:4 where manna was given “day by day” as a fixed “law” (𐀇𐀅𐀒) from heaven.

Exo 16:4  And 𐀉𐀄𐀅𐀄 said to Mosheh, “See, I am raining bread from the heavens for you. And the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, in order to try them, whether they walk in My Torah or not.

𐀕𐀍 (Ten) – “Give”

From root 𐀍𐀕𐀍 (natan) = to give, bestow, grant.

Imperative: “Give!” → a direct plea to Yahuah for His provision.

πŸ•Š π€‹π€π€…(Lanu) – “To us”

  • 𐀋 (to)𐀍𐀅 (us)“Give to us”

This keeps the prayer communal, not individualistic.

πŸ”„ π€‰π€…π€Œ π€‰π€…π€Œ (Yom Yom) – “Day by day”

Literally: “day day” (repetition emphasizes daily renewal).
This echoes Exodus 16:4-5 where manna was collected each day, no hoarding.

✨ Spiritually: constant dependence on Yahuah’s provision—not storing up earthly security.

✨ Connected Verses

  • Proverbs 30:8“Give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the bread that is my portion ( π€‹π€‡π€Œ 𐀇𐀒𐀉).”

🌾 Note the word in π€•𐀁𐀉𐀀𐀍𐀅  i.e. ( 𐀕𐀄𐀍 taban) = straw

  • Related visually and phonetically

  • Straw man → a false pattern/test of the flesh
✨ Link to 1 Corinthians 3:12–13 – “Wood, hay, straw… each one’s work will be revealed by fire.”

𐀕𐀄𐀍 taban Meaning:

  • Straw, stubble, chaff → The leftover stalk after grain is threshed.

  • Appears in Torah:

    • Exodus 5:7 – “You shall no longer give the people straw (𐀕𐀄𐀍) to make bricks.”

    • Job 13:25 – “Will You frighten a windblown leaf and pursue dry chaff (𐀕𐀄𐀍)?”

We also saw ✨ Exodus 25:40: “See that you make them after their pattern/𐀕𐀁𐀍𐀉𐀕 H8403, which is being shown you on the mountain.”

𐀄𐀑𐀉𐀋𐀍𐀅 save us Root 𐀑𐀋 (tsel) = shade, deliverance, refuge. Related to π€‘π€‹π€Œ (tselem) = image (Genesis 1:26)
𐀌𐀍 𐀄𐀓𐀏 from the evil From 𐀓𐀏 (ra) = evil, harm, adversity

✨ Prophetic Echo:

Psalm 121:7 – “Yahuah will keep you from all evil; He will guard your life.”

Psalm 131:2  Have I not calmed, and kept my being silent, Like one weaned by its mother? My being is like one weaned.

πŸ•Š Prophetic Flow of the Verse

Forgive our missing the mark → Healing breaches, covering sin
As we forgive others → Reflecting His mercy as image-bearers
Don’t bring us into trial’s hand → Protect us from snares of the adversary and false “straw man” tests/patterns of the flesh/carnality.
But rescue us from evil → Deliverance from both external evil and the evil inclination (yetzer hara
)

πŸ”₯ Hidden Insights

  • 🌾  π€•𐀄𐀍 (taban) → connected to vanity, emptiness, worthless striving (Ecclesiastes 1:2).

  • πŸ•Š π€€π€Œ (mother) = nurturing deliverance → the Ruach Ha Qodesh's protective work.

  • ✋ π€‹π€‰π€ƒπ€‰ π€π€Žπ€‰π€…π€ = “into the hand of testing” → parallels Messiah’s temptation in the wilderness (Luke 4:1–13).

✨ Prophetic Insight

    • 🌱 “the companion” → Even my own flesh as a false companion (the “old man” within)

    This duality reflects Jeremiah 9:4:

“Beware every man of his neighbor (𐀓𐀏𐀄); and trust not in any brother…”

    ✨ Paleo-Hebrew Picture of 𐀓𐀏

πŸ”‘ 𐀓𐀏  pictographically = “Watch the leader”

    This could mean:

    • Watching Yahuah (good companion)

    • Or watching the adversary (evil companion)

    Letter Glyph Meaning
    𐀓 Head Chief, leader
    𐀏 Eye Watch, witness

So 𐀄𐀓𐀏 in Luke 11:4 carries a hidden layer:

“Deliver us from the evil”
AND
“Deliver us from the false witness (𐀏𐀃) of the neighbor (fleshly companion)”

πŸ‘‰ “Do not deliver us to the hands of the straw-man witness or to the vanity of fleshly striving, but save us from the false neighbor—the accuser and the fleshly self.”

The ancient Hebrew text presents a profound prayer, rich with prophetic imagery and spiritual depth. It begins with "Our Father returns to the heavens," where "Abaynu" (Father) signifies the Father's presence in a body, imparting understanding of His distinct, heavenly abode as we return to the cleansing waters above being seated in the heavenly places with Messiah. The prayer continues, "Set apart be Your Name," revealing that through His hands, nailed in covenant fulfillment, His Name is sanctified and uniquely revealed. "Your Kingdom come" invokes His arrival to establish wholeness and restoration, while "Your desire be done as in heaven so also on earth" affirms His will manifesting on earth as it is in the heavens, the heavenly waters to be rained on the earth. The plea for "our daily bread" seeks the appointed portion of life-giving instruction from the First and Last daily for our nourishment. "Forgive us our sins, as we also forgive those indebted to us" asks for healing from the disease of missing the mark, mirrored by releasing others from their debts. Finally, "Do not lead us to the hands of the straw-man witness, but deliver us from the evil" implores protection from vain trials and the false accuser, seeking salvation from the false neighbor—the accuser and the fleshly self. Together, this prayer weaves a tapestry of divine connection, sanctification, provision, forgiveness, and deliverance.
