The Journey from a servant to a son-Part 1

In this study we will examine in spiritual vs spiritual comparison how we came wrapped in servant hood and how we journey from servant hood to being a son. In order to understand what servant hood and son ship is all about we must look at Messiah because unless we see the purpose of his servant hood and son ship we will never understand how we could come out of being a servant to be a son. Let's begin from Galatians 4:1-7 and see a spiritual comparison for the need for Messiah to be a servant and a Son. In our previous studies 'Unitarianism and their demeaning of Messiah:Part 1 & 2' we saw how through his son ship upon us is bestowed glory, gifts, etc and to bestow it to us Messiah took the Intermediate position by being externalized from Alahim. In his son ship we are adopted as sons and he is the one who gives us the right to be called the sons of Alahim.
In this study we will see the aspect of servant hood and the journey in Messiah from servant hood to son ship.

Ga 4:1 ¶ Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:

Here in Galatians 4:1-3 we see Paul saying that the heir as long as he is a child is no different than a servant though he is lord of all but is under tutors and governors until the time appointed by the father. He then says that even so when we were children we were in bondage under the elements of the world.

Ga 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, Alahim sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, Alahim hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of Alahim through Messiah.

He then says that when the fullness of time was come Alahim sent forth his Son, made of a woman and made under the law to redeem them that were under the law might receive the adoption as sons ad hence we are no more servants but a son and heir of Alahim through Messiah.
In our study ' Am I weaned or under suck? ' I touch based on  the seed of Abraham who was Messiah and we in Messiah as Isaac was are the the promised ones. The ones who is WEANED and not under any NURSE or TUTOR . But those who are outside of Alahim's covenant and are trampling the court are the sucking child's who have no discernment of good and evil and can't exercise their sense to discern between good and evil. They are under TUTORS AND GOVERNORS, the same vanity were came wrapped in until the time appointed by the father for our deliverance from this vanity through Messiah who is the only hope of our deliverance.
By making us sons of Alahim we become HEIRS OF GOD i.e. we get to know who Alahim is and come to a living relationship with him only through CHRIST as he is the face of Alahim to us. One cannot know Alahim beyond Messiah.

Let me take you to Ge 2:2 And on the seventh day Alahim ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

In the six days of creation Day 1 and Day 7 are remarkable because between Day 1 and Day 7 are the beggarly elements of the world that we all came wrapped in and Alahim WAS and IS beyond these beggarly elements.

Let's first see Day 1:

Ge 1:3 ¶ And Alahim said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And Alahim saw the light, that it was good: and Alahim divided the light from the darkness.
5 And Alahim called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

And Day 7:

Ge 2:2 And on the seventh day Alahim ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

Heb 4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Day 1 & Day 7 is the Sabbath and we are called to this REST. The NEW MOON is a 'synonym'  Alahim uses to show being part of new creation in Messiah and is beyond the time keeper 'Moon' which was created on the 4th day

Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith YAHUA.
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

Ge 1:16 And Alahim made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light (MOON) to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And Alahim set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and Alahim saw that it was good.
19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day

So we see that the call to worship Alahim is from ONE NEW MOON to ANOTHER-beyond time Keepers where Messiah is. And we can get there ONLY THROUGH CHRIST because he was/is and stands for both the Day 1 & Day 7

Now let's see Day 1 in spiritual comparison:

Ge 1:3 ¶ And Alahim said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And Alahim saw the light, that it was good: and Alahim divided the light from the darkness.
5 And Alahim called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

2Co 4:6 For Alahim, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of Alahim in the face of Yahusha Messiah.

The Day 1 LIGHT is the light of the knowledge of the glory of Alahim in the face of Yahusha the Messiah. By being saved we have attained this 'one Sabbath' as stated in Isaiah 66:23 so far and we are looking forward to enter the 'another Sabbath' i.e. Day 7th Sabbatical rest which is reserved in Messiah for us from the foundation of the world as Alahim finished his works from the foundation of the worlds as stated in Heb 4:3.
Even though we have attained salvation in Messiah we have still not entered into the gate of the inner court as Messiah as our representative is the only one who has entered behind the veil for us

Heb 9:24 For Messiah is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of Alahim for us:

Eze 46:1 ¶ Thus saith the Yahuah GOD; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened.

We shall enter the gate of the inner court on the 2nd NEW MOON. The first New MOON stands for salvation in Messiah who became part of the new creation and in him we are new creation.

2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Messiah, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

1Pe 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

We are new creation IN CHRIST and are reserved for salvation to be revealed in the end time.

Zec 14:16 ¶ And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year (shaneh) to year (shaneh) to worship the King, Yahuahh of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

Nu 7:35 And for a sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five he goats, five lambs of the first year (shaneh): this was the offering of Elizur the son of Shedeur.

The Lamb of the FIRST YEAR offered for peace offering stood for Messiah in whom we worship the King.

Coming back to Ezekiel 46 where we read in verse 1 that the inner gate shall be shut for SIX DAYS and will be only opened on the SABBATH day we read in verse 2 through 4 that only the Prince shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate while the people stand and worship at the door of this gate in the sabaath and the new moon. The English translation in plural as 'sabbaths' and 'new moons' is incorrect as the Hebrew rendering is SINGULAR. It should read 'Sabbath' and 'New Moon' and thus referring to the first Sabbath and New moon we have attained to IN CHRIST who alone has entered the gate FOR US.

Eze 46:2 And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate without, and shall stand by the post of the gate, and the priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate: then he shall go forth; but the gate shall not be shut until the evening.
3 Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before YAHUA in the sabbath and in the new moon.
4 And the burnt offering that the prince shall offer unto Yahuahh in the sabbath day shall be six lambs without blemish, and a ram without blemish.

We read of the Prince i.e Messiah offering SIX LAMBS without blemish in the sabbath day. We know that Messiah offered himself once and for all but the six lambs show our deliverance from the vanity we were bound in from Day 1 to Day 7 and Alahim is beyond these. Alahim uses the language of the ceremonial law because in this parabolic language is hidden the 'law of the Spirit of life in Messiah Yahusha'.

Hence we see Day 1 as the day of our salvation. The day which Alahim says 'Today if you will hear his voice harden not your hearts' when he said " Let there be light' Gen 1:3

Heb 4:7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

Eze 46:12 Now when the prince shall prepare a voluntary burnt offering or peace offerings voluntarily unto the YAHUAH, one shall then open him the gate that looketh toward the east, and he shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, as he did on the sabbath day: then he shall go forth; and after his going forth one shall shut the gate.

We now look forward to the Day 7 rest that Alahim has reserved for us in Messiah when he will come to take us to be with him forever. The first feast is 'Pesach' (Passover) and the last feast is 'Sukkot' (Feast of Tabernacles)

Messiah is everything and by him all things consists. Because he is beyond time and is both on Day 1 and Day 7 as we see only Alahim was/is beyond these, he can claim that he is the 'Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end'

Re 1:11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

Messiah entered in to Servant hood into TIME for us. Paul speaks of the fullness of time in this respect.

Ga 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, Alahim sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

Now let's come back to Ezekiel 46 from where Paul was actually showing spiritually in Gal 4 that the inheritance is of  the sons and not of the servants

Eze 46:16 ¶ Thus saith the Yahuah GOD; If the prince give a gift unto any of his sons, the inheritance thereof shall be his sons'; it shall be their possession by inheritance.
17 But if he give a gift of his inheritance to one of his servants, then it shall be his to the year of liberty; after it shall return to the prince: but his inheritance shall be his sons' for them.
18 Moreover the prince shall not take of the people's inheritance by oppression, to thrust them out of their possession; but he shall give his sons inheritance out of his own possession: that my people be not scattered every man from his possession.

Those under the law of sin and death seemed like receiving inheritance from the Prince i.e the law, ordinances, sacrifices, glory, covenants etc but this inheritance is only of the sons while the servants remain outside of his covenant being wrapped up by their fleshly carnal observance of these ordinances without understanding that the law is spiritual and we are carnal sold under sin.

Ro 7:14 ¶ For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

Coming back to Gal 4 Paul says that though we were children we were no different than a servant because a servant is under tutors and governors and the law was our tutor to lead us to Messiah.

Ga 4:1 ¶ Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

Ga 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Messiah, that we might be justified by faith.

Messiah who was beyond time plunged into the deep and took servant hood to release us servants to make us sons and that's what Paul is talking about. The six lambs which we read of the Prince offering is the offering of himself when he took on the likeness of sinful flesh being part of the creation which is under time keepers (sun. moon and stars) which stood symbolic of 'tutors and governors' to release us from this vanity to attain new creation whose light is Messiah himself.

Re 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of Alahim did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

Those who cannot see these spiritual truths are still bound by the time keepers or tutors and governors and their inheritance is not theirs but of the sons of Alahim.

Hence in this perspective we see Messiah called by Alahim as 'HIS SERVANT' because he sees us his elect in Messiah now being made as his sons. Hence the journey from servant to a son is by being in Messiah.

Isa 52:13 ¶ Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.
14 As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:

Isa 42:1 ¶ Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

The 'Branch' are we in Messiah. The word 'branch' spiritually means 'offspring'

Zec 3:8 ¶ Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the YAHUAH of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

Isa 4:2 ¶ In that day shall the branch of Yahuahh be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.

Isa 65:23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of Yahuahh and their offspring with them.
24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Ac 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Only those who live, move and have their being in Alahim are his offspring. Others may seem to live, move and have their being as being part of the Adamic race being in the vanity of tutors and governors but they are outside of his covenant with a temporal vapor in their nostrils. We may still seem to be in that state from which Messiah will deliver us to attain eternal life which is only in him. The very life of Alahim.

Eze 46:18 Moreover the prince shall not take of the people's inheritance by oppression, to thrust them out of their possession; but he shall give his sons inheritance out of his own possession: that my people be not scattered every man from his possession.

We read of the man with the line in his hand (Messiah) leading Ezekiel through the north gate unto the utter gate in a vision by the way that looked eastward. The same gate which we read in Ezekiel 46:1 which was shut for 6 days.

Eze 46:1 ¶ Thus saith the Yahuah GOD; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened.

Eze 47:1 ¶ Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.
2 Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right 3 And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.

While the north gate/country seemed to be where the house of the Yahuah is we see that this north country fell to Satan who deceived all those who dwelt there. All the strangers and the uncircumcised were brought through from here

Eze 44:4 ¶ Then brought he me the way of the north gate before the house: and I looked, and, behold, the glory of the YAHUAH filled the house of the YAHUAH: and I fell upon my face.
5 And the YAHUAH said unto me, Son of man, mark well, and behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears all that I say unto thee concerning all the ordinances of the house of the YAHUAH, and all the laws thereof; and mark well the entering in of the house, with every going forth of the sanctuary.
6 And thou shalt say to the rebellious, even to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Yahuah GOD; O ye house of Israel, let it suffice you of all your abominations,
7 In that ye have brought into my sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it, even my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations.

Zec 6:8 Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.

Ps 48:2 Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of Alahim: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Alahim will finally lead his people unto himself through the gate that was shut from where only Alahim in Messiah has passed into. The true Rest in Messiah. We look forward to that Sabbatical rest.

Eze 44:1 ¶ Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it was shut.
2 Then said Yahuahh unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because Yahuahh the Alahim of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut.
3 It is for the prince; the prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before Yahuahh he shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate, and shall go out by the way of the same.

Php 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Messiah in being made in the likeness of men made himself of no reputation and took upon servant hood so that through his obedience to Alahim in his servant hood he could make us servants of law of sin and death the sons of Alahim.

All those outside his covenant continue to remain a servant of the law of sin of death going his way by the penny on whose is the inscription of Caesar but those servants who were bound by this vanity of being idle as in the parable in Matt 20 and realize their vanity remain with the good master by becoming his sons. The rest leave with the penny.

Mt 20:2 And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,

Mt 20:14 Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.
15  Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?
16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

We can see the picture of from being a servant to a son in the letter Paul wrote to Philemon.
Philemon in Greek means 'Friend' or 'friendly'.
Onesimus was Philemon's servant before his conversion and had left Philemon and being in his journey away from Philemon he met Paul when Paul was in his bonds and had come to know the Yahuah through his ministry whom Paul now calls him as a son. Paul here was writing to Philemon from Colossians in whose house the church was pleading for Onesimus to take him back now as a brother in Messiah and not as a servant.

Phm 1:10 I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:

Phm 1:16 Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Yahuah?

Col 4:7 ¶ All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Yahuah:
 8 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and comfort your hearts;
9 With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are done here.

Paul was sending Onesimus once a servant and now a son back to the one whose name means Friend ( spiritually standing for Messiah) as his brother.

Heb 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

Phm 1:15 For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;

We also see the journey from servant to son in the law and we know that the law is spirtual.

Ex 21:2 If thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.
3 If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him.

Le 25:40 But as an hired servant, and as a sojourner, he shall be with thee, and shall serve thee unto the year (shaneh) of jubile:

We read in Zech 14:16 that from one YEAR to another YEAR shall all nations go up to worship Alahim

Zec 14:16 ¶ And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year (shaneh) to year (shaneh) to worship the King, the YAHUAH of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

The first year we saw was the when the Prince offered peace offering of himself as the lamb of the first year for six days and the other year spoken of in Zech 14:16 speaks of being released from the captivity of servant hood.

De 15:13 And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him go away empty:
14 Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress: of that wherewith Yahuahh thy Alahim hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him.
15 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and Yahuahh thy Alahim redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.

We see this picture in Abraham telling Alahim that his servant is his heir since he is childless and Alahim tells him, he is not the heir but the one who will come from his loins i.e. Issac the promised one will be the heir.

Ge 15:2 ¶ And Abram said, Yahuah GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?
3 And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.
4 And, behold, the word of the YAHUAH came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.

Many see Messiah as a creature because he is called the servant of Alahim without understanding why he took servant hood. Those who understand and see the purpose of  his servant hood are the true sons of Alahim Messiah came out of Alahim being his Son and instead of claiming equality with Alahim he took on servant hood.

Php 2:6 Who, being in the form of Alahim, thought it not robbery to be equal with Alahim:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

We who are bound up in the vanity of the six days have a hope of entering into his rest to be Heirs of Alahim in Messiah who is beyond the 6 days.

At first glance V6 & 7 seems to contradict what you posted but comparing spiritual with spiritual we understand that without the servanthood first we will not be identified with Christ.

Tit 1:1 Paul, A SERVANT OF GOD, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;

Jas 1:1 James, A SERVANT OF GOD AND OF THE LORD YAHUSHA THE CHRIST, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

Eph 6:6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but AS THE SERVANTS OF CHRIST, doing the will of God from the heart;

There are many more scriptures which teach that we are servants of God/Christ in this present world.

Our adoption as sons will be fully realized on the last day:

Ro 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, WAITING FOR THE ADOPTION,to wit, the redemption of our body.
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

Christ was already The Only begotten Son of God and yet He took the form of a servant for our sake and that's the reason when He was resurrected, God testified of Him:

Ac 13:33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

Those who are not identified with Christ are part of mystery babylon sitting as queen and not widow
