The Imagery of the Cherubims and their Significance

We see cherubims with their description in Exodus 25, 1 King 6 & 2 Chr 3, Isaiah 6, Ezekiel 1 & 10 & Revelation 4. The description mentioned vary and while traditionalists would say that these are angelic beings in their highest order which is a partial truth but they are not able to decode their appearances in visions to the nebim/prophets which we will look at closely in this note with some pictures which I downloaded from the net and worked on putting them together on paint and power point to show the description in the passages mentioned.

Yahuah is said to be the One who dwells between the cherubim

Psa 80:1  To the chief Musician upon Shoshannimeduth, A Psalm of Asaph. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.

Psa 99:1  יהוה shall reign; Peoples tremble! He is enthroned in between the keruḇim; The earth shakes!

It is also said of Yahuah that He rode upon a cherub

Psa 18:10  And He rode upon a keruḇ, and flew; He flew upon the wings of the wind.

The first time cherubs is mentioned is in Gen 3:24 to guard the way to the tree of life.

Gen 3:24  and He drove the man out. And He placed keruḇim at the east of the garden of Ěḏen, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

Yaaqob (Jacob) had seen a ladder and above the ladder stood Yahuah and the angels of Alahym ascended and descended on that ladder. The messengers that ascended and descended the ladder (who is Messiah) were appointed/commanded to guard the law as ministering to the saints/judgment to the unsaved.

Ge 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the messengers of Aluahym ascending and descending on it. 13 And, behold, Aluahym stood above it, and said, I am Yahuah Aluahym of Abraham thy father, and the Aluahym of Yitsaq (Isaac): the land whereon thou lay, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;

Gal 3:19 Why the Torah then? It was added because of transgressions, having been arranged or planned (arukah) through messengers by the hand of a mediator, until the seed would come to whom the promise had been made.

arukah is a Hebrew word equivalent to the Greek word 'deeatasso' which also means arrange/institute/ordain/prescribe

The Aramaic uses the word b'yad for both 'messengers' as well as the 'mediator' which means 'in the hand of'

Job 38:6  Upon what were its foundations sunk? Or who laid its corner-stone,

Job 38:7  when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of Elohim shouted for joy?

Yahuah questions Ayob/Job whether he was there when He made the foundations of the earth, when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of Aluahym shouted for joy?

Traditionalists teach that these were angels but the language is metaphorical as Aluahym sees things as though they were before even they are. The sons of Aluahym or morning stars mentioned here are all the elect of Yahuah in Yahusha ha Mashiyach who appeared or came to a form as Messenger of Yahuah before the creation of this world.

Gal 3:19 should be read in the light of this. The Torah portions was arranged or planned through Messengers (the different forms Yahuah appeared in of which one was cherubim, seraphim, living creatures) in the hand of a mediator. Doesn't Psalm 18:10 say He rode upon a cherub?

The mediators were the nebim. It says that this continued until the seed Mashiyach would come in the flesh to whom the promise had been made. The cherubims, seraphims, living creatures were all imageries the nebim/prophets saw in visions. The Bright and Morning Star is Yahusha and He promises us who overcome the morning star. We have to be consistent with the interpretation of scriptures comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Stephen in his witness also mentions but in detail says what didn't make sense to the Yerushalim council back then but I pray to Yahuah it makes sense to the readers.

Acts 7:53 (In Hebrew) ‘atem ‘asher qibal’tem ‘eth-haTorah `al-y’dey mal’akoth hamal’akim w’lo’ sh’mar’tem ‘othah.

Acts7:53 “you who received the law by the hand of the Messenger/malakoth of messengers/malakim, and have not kept it.”

With this background now lets see the portions where the cherubims, seraphims & living creatures are seen in visions and their imagery

The Torah portion:

Exo 25:8  “And they shall make Me a Set-apart Place, and I shall dwell in their midst.

Exo 25:9  “According to all that I show you – the pattern of the Dwelling Place and the pattern of all its furnishings – make it exactly so.

Masha/Moshe was shown the pattern of the Tabernacle and the things that are within and outside in the courtyard. He is reminded to make everything as per the pattern shown to him on the mount. Its interesting to see that the size of the wings and size of the cherubs are not mentioned in Torah but Masha as a faithful servant would have made it in the same way as per the pattern he saw on Mount Sinai.

While Masha records the size of the ark of the covenant, he doesn't mention the size of the cherubs overshadowing the mercy seat.

Exo 25:18  And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.

Exo 25:19  And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.

Exo 25:20  And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.

Exo 25:21  And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.

Exo 25:22  And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

While there are many places in scripture where cherubims are mentioned as carvings, we will only look at direct scriptures where they are mentioned in an imagery and what Yahuah is revealing to us through these apperances.

The cherubims Masha made were on the ark of the covenant with their heads bowed down to the mercy seat and their wings touched one an another as seen in the image above.

Exo 37:7  And he made two keruḇim of beaten gold. He made them from the two ends of the lid of atonement,

Exo 37:8  one keruḇ at one end on this side, and the other keruḇ at the other end on that side. He made the keruḇim from the lid of atonement, from the two ends.

Exo 37:9  And the keruḇim spread out their wings above, and covered the lid of atonement with their wings, with their faces toward each other, the faces of the keruḇim were turned toward the lid of atonement.

We have scripture recording that Yahuah spoke with Masha as told to him from above the mercy seat.

Num 7:89  And when Mosheh went into the Tent of Meeting to speak with Him, he heard the voice of One speaking to him from above the lid of atonement that was on the ark of the Witness, from between the two keruḇim. Thus He spoke to him.

The cherubims overshadowing the mercy seat or lid of the atonement with their wings touching each other on the ark of the covenant was the only pattern displayed as Yasharal was in the wilderness sojourning and the ark of the covenant had not come to rest.

Num 10:35  And it came to be, whenever the ark set out, that Mosheh said, “Rise up, O יהוה! And let Your enemies be scattered, and let those who hate You flee before You.”

Num 10:36  And when it rested, he said, “Return, O יהוה, to the countless thousands of Yisra’ĕl.

When the ark of the covenant came to rest Daud/David desired to built it a house and look what the answer came from Yahuah

2Sa 7:4  And it came to be that night that the word of יהוה came to Nathan, saying,

2Sa 7:5  “Go and say to My servant Dawiḏ, ‘Thus said יהוה, “Would you build a house for Me to dwell in?

2Sa 7:6  “For I have not dwelt in a house since the time that I brought the children of Yisra’ĕl up from Mitsrayim, even to this day, but have moved about in a Tent and in a Dwelling Place.

2Sa 7:7  “Wherever I have walked with all the children of Yisra’ĕl, have I ever spoken a word to anyone from the tribes of Yisra’ĕl, whom I commanded to shepherd My people Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’ ” ’

The ark came to rest in Yerushalayim and that's when David desired to build a house for it but was built by his son Shelemoh.

We have only one place where the size of the cherubs are mentioned in addition to the size not revealed cherubs which were above the mercy seat. The following picture will depict the sizes as made by Shelemoh when he built the temple as the ark came to rest.

While the sizes mentioned have a deep spiritual meaning, Yahuah is also revealing how his words go to the outer court which we will also see when we see the imagery of these cherubs in Ezekiel's vision. This is the only place in scripture where the size of the cherubs are mentioned.

The size of the total wings of the 2 cherubs was 20 cubits which shows 5 the number of Torah x 4 ends of the earth where the basharah goes to
The one who dwells in between the cherubs is the Alaph Tau as Ezekiel sees Him as a MAN seated on the throne referring to Yahusha Ha Mashiyach.
The remainder of the 20 letters are on the wings of the cherub

Twice in the scroll of Ezekiel, Ezekiel heard the voice of their wings as the voice of Shadday (Almighty), like the voice of many waters and voice of an army

Eze 1:24  And when they went, I heard the voice/qol H6963 of their wings, like the voice/qol H6963 of many waters, like the voice/qol H6963 of the Almighty, a tumult like the voice/qol H6963 of an army. And when they stood still, they let down their wings.

4 times the voice/qol is mentioned as singular voice, however 3 times it shows medium from where the voice came from as plural

1. Voice of ALMIGHTY (Almighty is singular)
2. Voice of their WINGS ( 4 wings -plural)
3. Voice of MANY WATERS (Waters -plural)
4. Voice of an ARMY (Army- plural)

Hence, concealed is the voice of the Almighty when it goes out and not all will be able to hear to understand His Divinity.

Eze10:5 And the voice/qol H6963 of the wings of the cherubim was heard unto the outer court, like the voice/qol H6963 of El Shadday (Almighty) when He speaks.

The 2nd instance straight forwardly tells us that the voice of the wings of the cherubim was like the voice of the EL Shadday when He speaks and it was heard in the outer court. The wings of the cherubs were 4 and plural and through number 4 we see the voice going out to the Gentiles who are the lost sheep of the house of  Yasharal to bring them back into the Most Set Apart Place.

Rev 11:2  “But cast out the court which is outside the Dwelling Place, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the gentiles, and they shall trample the set-apart city under foot for forty-two months.

Hence, the pure Abary language goes from the 22 letters combination of syllables forming the words, the words the phrases and sentences, reaching to the ear of the elect as the VOICE OF THE ALMIGHTY whilst all others are dispersed in confusion.

Coming back to the imagery of the 2 cherubs as made by Shelemoh, there were still 4 cherubs ( 2 on the ark of the covenant) and 2 overshadowing them whose one wing touched the wall of the house and the other wing touched each other over the ark of the covenant.

1Ki 6:27  And he placed the keruḇim in the midst of the inner house. And they stretched out the wings of the keruḇim so that the wing of the one touched one wall/qyir H7023, and the wing of the other keruḇ touched the other wall/qiyr H7023. And their wings touched each other in the middle of the room.

It is amazing to see the word 'qar' rooted in qiyr which means 'call'. Yahuah is calling out with an invite to come into the Most Set Apart place.

Qiyr is also the place of the city where the elders meet.

In the imagery of the 2 cherubs whose one wing touched the wall of the house and the other to the other cherub, If you add the 20 cubits total wing size of the 2 cherubs and the 10 cubits length of each cherub we get number 40 which is the number of testing.

Masha was 40 days without food and water on Mount Sinai when the words of the covenant were given to him. Yahusha fasted 40 days in the wilderness when tested by ha shatan. There are many more examples but we don't have time to look at them all.

2 Chr 3:13 says these cherubs stood on their feet, and they faced inward. However, the faces were not revealed, it was to be later revealed in imagery

The seraphims:

Isa 6:1  In the year that Sovereign Uzziyahu died, I saw יהוה sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the Hĕḵal.
Isa 6:2  Above it stood seraphim. Each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
Isa 6:3  And one cried to another and said, “Set-apart, set-apart, set-apart is יהוה of hosts; all the earth is filled with His esteem!”
Isa 6:4  And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.
Isa 6:5  And I said, “Woe to me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips – for my eyes have seen the Sovereign, יהוה of hosts.”
Isa 6:6  And one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar.
Isa 6:7  And he touched my mouth with it, and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your crookedness is taken away, and your sin is covered.”

Why does the vision of YashaYahu/Isaiah begin with 'In the year that Sovereign UzziYahu died?

A little back ground to this:

The 10 tribes of Yasharal were in deep idolatry were to be taken captive in the days of Hoshea the king of Yasharal, in his 9th year when king Ahaz was ruling in Yahudah. (2n Kings 17:1-6) Ahaz was grandson of king UzziYahu, king of Yahudah. The countdown of Yahudah's captivity began from UzziYahu. There were yet 7 kings to come after the death of UzziYahu until the Babylonian captivty and post Babylonian captivity there would be no more king over Yahudah, the only King to spring up would be the King of kings who is Yahusha. The count begins from Uzziyah/Azhariah

Mat 1:9  And Uzziyah brought forth Yotham, and Yotham brought forth Aḥaz, and Aḥaz brought forth Ḥizqiyahu
Mat 1:10  And Ḥizqiyahu brought forth Menashsheh, and Menashsheh brought forth Amon, and Amon brought forth Yoshiyahu
Mat 1:11  And Yoshiyahu brought forth Yeḵonyah and his brothers at the time of the exile to Baḇel.
Mat 1:12  And after the exile to Baḇel, Yeḵonyah brought forth She’alti’ĕl, and She’alti’ĕl brought forth Zerubbaḇel.

Yekonyah was grandson of Yoshiyahu and son of Yehoyaqim but Yehoyaqim is skipped in the genealogy to Mashiyach in the royal line because he did evil in the sight of Yahuah as all his fathers did and even Yekonyah's name is cut off in the genealogy unto Mashiyach as he was cursed to be childless which we will see below:

2Ki 23:36  Yehoyaqim was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Yerushalayim. And his mother’s name was Zeḇiḏah the daughter of Peḏayah of Rumah.
2Ki 23:37  And he did evil in the eyes of יהוה, according to all that his fathers did.

For even Yekonyah/Yehoyakin did evil in the sight of Yahuah, then why is his name mentioned in the Mashiyach genealogy?

Here is the complete genealogy, marked in amber in the genealogy which shows Yekonyah as direct son of Yehoyaqim and Yehoyaqim was son of YoshiYahu

1Ch 3:12  Amatsyahu his son, Azaryah/Uzziyah his son, Yotham his son,
1Ch 3:13  Aḥaz his son, Ḥizqiyahu his son, Menashsheh his son,
1Ch 3:14  Amon his son, Yoshiyahu his son.
1Ch 3:15  And the sons of Yoshiyahu: Yoḥanan the first-born, the second Yehoyaqim, the third Tsiḏqiyahu, the fourth Shallum.
1Ch 3:16  And the sons of Yehoyaqim: Yeḵonyah his son and Tsiḏqiyah his son.
1Ch 3:17  And the sons of Yeḵonyah the captive: She’alti’ĕl his son

This Shealtiel was a governor, no longer any king in Yahudah.

2Ki 23:34  And Pharaoh Neḵo set up Elyaqim son of Yoshiyahu to reign in place of his father Yoshiyahu, and changed his name to Yehoyaqim. And Pharaoh took Yeho’aḥaz and went to Mitsrayim, and he died there.

2Ki 25:27  And it came to be in the thirty-seventh year of the exile of Yehoyaḵin/Yekonyah sovereign of Yehuḏah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-seventh of the month, that Ewil-Meroḏaḵ sovereign of Baḇel, in the year that he began to reign, released Yehoyaḵin/Yekonyah sovereign of Yehuḏah from prison,
2Ki 25:28  and spoke kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the sovereigns who were with him in Baḇel,
2Ki 25:29  and changed his prison garments. And he ate bread continually before the sovereign all the days of his life.
2Ki 25:30  And as his allowance, a continual allowance was given to him from the sovereign, a quota for each day, all the days of his life.

Yahuah had pronounced a curse on him that he will die childless. In YarmeYahu he is named as Konyahu.

Jer 22:28  “Is this man Konyahu/Yekonyah a despised broken pot, or an undesirable vessel? Why are they hurled out, he and his descendants, and cast into a land which they do not know?
Jer 22:29  “O land, land, land! Hear the word of יהוה!
Jer 22:30  “Thus said יהוה, ‘Write this man down as childless, a strong man who is not to prosper in his days, for none of his descendants shall prosper, sitting on the throne of Dawiḏ, or rule any more in Yehuḏah.’ ”

So, if this man didn’t have any descendants how can he after the exile bring forth She’alti’ĕl, and She’alti’ĕl brought forth Zerubbaḇel?

1Ch 3:16 And the sons of Yehoyaqim: Yeḵoanyah H3204 his son and Tsiḏqiyah his son.
1Ch 3:17 And the sons of Yaḵonayah H3204 the captive: She’alti’ĕl his son,
1Ch 3:18 and Malkiram, and Peḏayah, and Shenatstsar, Yeqamyah, Hoshama, and Neḏaḇyah.
1Ch 3:19 And the sons of Peḏayah: Zerubbaḇel and Shimʽi. The sons of Zerubbaḇel: Meshullam, and Ḥananyah, and Shelomith their sister,

According to Yahuah’s curse on Yakonayah he would be destitute and none of his descendants sitting on the throne of David would prosper or rule anymore in Yahudah. Hence, this lineage couldn’t bring forth the Mashiyach. In the 2 genealogies listed some of the sons listed there are not immediate sons of their fathers but descendants. I’m listing just the portions of it to make a point

Matthew                    Luke
Yeḵonyah
Addi
Meleḵi
Neri
She’alti’ĕl
She’alti’ĕl
Zerubbaḇel
Zerubbaḇel

According to 1Chr 3:17 Shealtiel is the son of Yekonyah, also, Zerubbabel is listed in both Matthew and Luke genealogy as the son of Shealtiel but is listed as the son of Pedayah, the son of Yakonayah. There is no contradiction in scriptures, the scroll of Chronicles only lists the descendants who carried on their father’s name and lineage as per Torah of the dead man’s name to be kept alive or as per the chief ruler to identify the lineage, and many of them listed in Chronicles are not immediate sons. Moreover, Yakonayah had no sons and this we can know from 2Kings 24:14-15

2Ki 24:14 And he exiled all Yerushalayim, and all the officers and all the mighty brave men – ten thousand exiles – and all the craftsmen and smiths. None remained except the poorest people of the land.
2Ki 24:15 And he exiled Yahoyaḵin H3078 to Baḇel. And the sovereign’s mother, and the sovereign’s wives, and his eunuchs, and the leading men of the land he exiled from Yerushalayim to Baḇel

Here he is named as Yahoyakin H3078 which means the same as ‘Yahuah will establish firm’ When the king of Babylon carried him away captive, there is no mention of his sons which means that 1Chr 3:17 were not his sons but borrowed sons as per Torah. Shealtiel’s father listed in Luke’s genealogy is mentioned as Neri

Luk 3:27 of Yoḥanan, of Rephayah, of Zerubbaḇel, of She’alti’ĕl, of Neri,

And this lineage is from Nathan, David’s son. A simple chart below would show how. Hence, the count post UzziYahu would be

1. Yotham
2. Ahaz
3. HizqiYahu
4. Menashsheh
5. Amon
6. Yoshiyahu
7. Yehoyaqim ----->Yeḵonyah -----> Shealtiel borrowed son from Neri

We see clearly that Yakonyah the descendant of Shelemoh was cursed and hence his seed could never prosper on David’s throne, while many people take 1Chr 3:17-19 to show these a Yakonyah’s literal sons, yet there are others who say this Shealtiel and Zerubabel were a pair of different entity in both lineages. But no one clearly can show how Yakonyah’s seed could continue until Mashiyach if his seed was cursed. The only answer to this is understanding Neri giving a legal heir to Yakonyah to keep his name alive in Yahudah and that son was Shealtiel. Shealtiel was now the borrowed son to be the successor to the throne of David and the breaker of the curse for he was as per Torah the son of Yakonyah and by descent the son of Neri from Nathan’s lineage. And Shealtiel was no longer a king but just a governor.

Hag 2:2  “Speak, please, to Zerubbaḇel son of She’alti’ĕl, governor of Yehuḏah, and to Yehoshua son of Yehotsaḏaq, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying,

For details you may visit my blog and read at the note to understand the complete genealogy:

 https://dsouzashodan72.blogspot.com/2017/09/understanding-genealogy-of-matthew-and.html

2Ch 36:9  Yehoyaḵin was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Yerushalayim three months and ten days. And he did evil in the eyes of יהוה.
2Ch 36:10  And at the turn of the year Sovereign Neḇuḵaḏnetstsar sent and brought him to Baḇel, with the valuable utensils from the House of יהוה, and made Tsiḏqiyahu, Yehoyaqim’s brother, sovereign over Yehuḏah and Yerushalayim.

There was one more king Tsidqiyahu who was YekonYah's uncle, please read 2Kings 24:17 & YarmeYahu 37:1 (brother of Yehoyaqim) as king but he died childless as Nebudchanazzer killed all his sons and his nobles. Masoretic scrolls have 2 Chr 36:10 mentioning TsidqiYahu the brother of YekonYah (as he also had a brother by the same name) which has been corrected by TS2009, Scriptures 1998+ & Septuagint.

1Ch 3:16  And the sons of Yehoyaqim: Yeḵonyah his son and Tsiḏqiyah his son.

2Ki 24:17  And the sovereign of Baḇel set up Mattanyah, Yehoyaḵin’s/YekonYah uncle, to reign in his place, and changed his name to Tsiḏqiyahu.

Jer 37:1  And Sovereign Tsiḏqiyahu son of Yoshiyahu reigned instead of Konyahu/Yekonyah son of Yehoyaqim, whom Neḇuḵaḏretstsar sovereign of Baḇel set up to reign in the land of Yehuḏah.

Jer 39:6  And the sovereign of Baḇel slew the sons of Tsiḏqiyahu before his eyes in Riḇlah. The sovereign of Baḇel also slew all the nobles of Yehuḏah.

Jer 39:7  And he put out the eyes of Tsiḏqiyahu, and bound him with bronze shackles to bring him to Baḇel.

With this background we can now understand why YashaYahu 6:1 says

Isa 6:1  In the year that Sovereign Uzziyahu died, I saw יהוה sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the Hĕḵal.

And who was this Yahuah?

Joh 12:39  Because of this they were unable to believe, because again Yeshayahu said:

Joh 12:40  “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, so that they should not see with their eyes and understand with their heart, and turn, and I should heal them.”

Joh 12:41  Yeshayahu said this when he saw His (Yahusha's) esteem and spoke of Him.

See the parallel verses of YashaYahu 6 quoted by Yahuchanan when tying it to Yahusha

Isa 6:8  And I heard the voice of יהוה, saying, “Whom do I send, and who would go for Us?” And I said, “Here am I! Send me.”

Isa 6:9  And He said, “Go, and you shall say to this people, ‘Hearing, you hear, but do not understand; and seeing, you see, but do not know.’

Isa 6:10  “Make the heart of this people fat, and their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and shall turn and be healed.”

While the promise was to David that on his throne would be seated a Ruler who was from everlasting, when the royal physical lineage was on the verge of obliteration to the physical eye, here was Yahusha the King of kings whose hem or robe/shul H7757 filled the temple.

This vision was sealed up as the seraphim's seen by YashaYahu in the vision had six wings and with two they covered their face, with two they covered their feet and with two they flew. So their exposition was concealed and the mystery hidden, which would be revealed at a later time. Its so beautiful if we understand these things.

Isa 6:4  And the posts/amuth H520 of the door/saphim H5592 were shaken/nuah H5128 by the voice/qol of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.

amuth H520: root words are

am: Mother H517

amah: A cubit H520

amath: truth H571

saphim H5592: root words are

saph or sapaph: a dish/bowl/basin for holding blood

sapah: lip/language/speech/brink/bank/shore (something that stands at the lip of the door)

nuah H5128: to and fro/move away/sift/wag wandered

Hence, when one seraph cried out to another with his voice/qol, the picture is of a change in measurements (spiritual dimensions)/amah, change in mother/am (earthly Yerushalayim to Heavenly Yerushalayim by being born from above), change from physical to spiritual truth/amath, change of blood in bowls/saph or sapaph of sheep & goats to the blood of Mashiyach, change of words of the carnal Torah to spiritual Torah.

And what did they cry out?

Isa 6:3 And one called out to another and said, Set-Apart, Set-Apart, Set-Apart, is Yahuah of hosts, the whole earth is full of His glory.

Yahuah of armies is going to move away from one place and enter into another, to fulfill everything He spoke in His Covenant. That is being Set-Apart, three times is the the affirmation

He would bow His head/qad into the door/dalet to thresh/dash the grain and bind them/qash to Himself.

The quph is the sun on the horizon with its sunlight entering the door or window/dalet to give light, warmth & energy to those inside the covevant/shan. And when He would come, there would be a change in the perspective of the way the Torah was understood by carnal flesh. This is what the paleo Hebrew language shows us.

The seraphim's had six wings. The word seraph means 'fiery/burn/kindle' H8313 & H8316

Its amazing to see that these same seraphs termed as living creatures were seen by Yahuchanan the emissary and shown how they looked. How do we know these were seraphim's? Its because elsewhere where Ezekiel saw in vision, he saw 4 cherubims with 4 wings whereas YashaYahu mentions the seraphs with 6 wings.

Isa 6:2  Above it stood seraphim. Each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.

Isa 6:3  And one cried to another and said, “Set-apart, set-apart, set-apart is יהוה of hosts; all the earth/land (arets) is filled with His esteem!”

Eze 1:6  And each one had four faces, and each one had four wings.

Rev 4:8  And the four living creatures, each having six wings, were covered with eyes around and within. And they do not cease, day or night, saying, “Set-apart, set-apart, set-apart, יהוה Ěl Shaddai, who was, and who is, and who is coming!”

Whereas, YashaYahu saw the seraphim's, their number is not mentioned and hence, we decode them from Rev 4 that they were 4 living creatures

In comparison with YashaYahu 6 vision where the seraphs covered their faces and their feet, here in Revelation 4 their wings are opened up and now their faces and bodies are seen. They are also described to have eyes all around which show a complete revelation of who Yahuah is. Their cry was similar to as stated in Rev 4:8 but with a complete revelation of who He is as here in Revelation they cry out “Set-apart, set-apart, set-apart, יהוה Ěl Shaddaiwho was, and who is, and who is coming!

We will also see a context to each of the appearances in visions a bit later!

Rev 4:6  And before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures, covered with eyes in front and in back.

Rev 4:7  And the first living creature was like a lion, and the second living creature like a calf, and the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.

Rev 4:8  And the four living creatures, each having six wings, were covered with eyes around and within. And they do not cease, day or night, saying, “Set-apart, set-apart, set-apart, יהוה Ěl Shaddai, who was, and who is, and who is coming!

I have shared this before, these 4 living creatures are around the throne and the one seated on the throne had appearance as of a jasper and ruby stone.

Rev 4:3  And He who sat there was like a jasper and a ruby stone in appearance. And there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance.

Ruby is the first stone in the high priest breast plate and Jasper is the last stone in the high priest breast plate. The imagery shows that this is Yahusha the High Priest who is Yahuah Himself seated on the throne to whom the 4 living creatures are testifying. In YashaYahu the revelation was concealed (the seraphs covered their faces and their feet) but now its open for everyone called to hear his qol/voice to hear and understand (the living creatures had six wings with eyes all around).

Exo 28:17  “And you shall put settings of stones in it, four rows of stones: The first row is a ruby, a topaz, and an emerald;

Exo 28:18  and the second row is a turquoise, a sapphire, and a diamond;

Exo 28:19  and the third row is a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;

Exo 28:20  and the fourth row is a beryl, and a shoham, and a jasper. They are set in gold settings.

In Revelation 4 the jasper is mentioned first and ruby as last as seen in a mirror, through the sea of glass before the throne.

Rev 4:6  And before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures, covered with eyes in front and in back.

Rev 4:7  And the first living creature was like a lion, and the second living creature like a calf, and the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle

Its interesting to see Yahuchanan/John is seeing a singular face of each living creature i.e. a single dimension as he must have seen through the sea of glass which was before the throne, whereas Ezekiel saw each living creature had 4 faces.

Ezekiel 1:5-6, 10 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. [6] And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings. [10] As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.[11]  Such were their faces. Their wings were spread upward, two of each touched one another, and two covered their bodies.

Below is a picture I have tried to put together to show the imagery of the vision of Ezekiel.

Eze 1:24  And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of many waters, like the voice of the Almighty, a tumult like the noise of an army. And when they stood still, they let down their wings.

Eze 1:25  And a voice came from above the expanse that was over their heads. When they stood, they dropped their wings.

Eze 1:26  And above the expanse over their heads was the likeness of a throne, in appearance like a sapphire stone. And on the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man high above it.

Eze 1:27  And from the appearance of His waist and upward I saw what looked like glowing metal with the appearance of fire all around within it. And from the appearance of His waist and downward I saw what looked like fire, and brightness all around.

Eze 1:28  As the appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the brightness all around it. This was the appearance of the likeness of the esteem of יהוה. And when I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of One speaking.

Eze 10:12  And their entire bodies, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels that the four had, were covered with eyes all around.

Eze 10:13  The wheels were called in my hearing, “Wheel.”

These four/arbah faces reveal Mashiyach as he came as the Son of man, the Lion of Yahudah, the ox/calf that was slain and the strength of the eagle which shows his resurrection, the eagle also shows as Yahuah told Yasharal that He had brought them on eagles wings out of Mitsrayim.

Exo 19:4 ‘You have seen what I did to the Mitsrites, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself.

Yahuchanan saw a flash of each face in a single dimension i.e. the single face of each seraph/living creature as revealed through the sea of glass just as he saw Mashiyach seated on the throne as Yahuah with appearance as jasper and ruby, whereas Ezekiel saw a round about the throne dimension. We can decode this from Ezekiel 1:14 where he mentions of the living creatures going back and forth as flashes of lightning.

Eze 1:14 And the living creatures ran back and forth, like the appearance of a flash of lightning.

In Ezekiel's vision the face of a man was front facing, face of lion was on the right side & face of an ox/calf on the left & the face of the eagle was behind

Eze 10:11  When they went, they went on their four sides; they did not turn aside when they went, but went in the direction the head was facing. They did not turn aside when they went.

Eze 1:17  When they went, they went in any one of four directions, they did not turn aside when they went.

Ezekiel lets the reader know how he saw each of the 4 faces of the 4 living creatures, they went on their four sides and did not turn aside when they went and when they went they went in any one of the four directions, but they appeared as a flash of lightning back and forth. (Ezek 1:14)

In chapter 1 Ezekiel terms the creatures as living creatures and in chapter 10 terms them as 'cherubims'

Eze 10:1  And I looked and saw in the expanse that was above the head of the keruḇim, like a sapphire stone, having the appearance of the likeness of a throne.

Eze 10:2  And He spoke to the man clothed with linen, and said, “Go in among the wheels, under the keruḇ, and fill your hands with coals of fire from among the keruḇim, and scatter over the city.” And he went in before my eyes.

The wheel within the wheel imagery:

Eze 1:16  The appearance of the wheels/aphan H212 and their works was like the appearance of beryl/tarshiysh (תַּרְשִׁישׁ)H658, and all four had the same form. The appearance of their works was, as it were, a wheel/aphan H212 in the middle/tavek H8432 of a wheel/aphan H212.

Eze 1:17  When they went, they went in any one of four directions, they did not turn aside when they went.

Eze 1:18  And their rims/gab H1354 were high /gabah H1363 and awesome/yarah H3374, and their rims/gab H1354 were covered with eyes, all around the four of them

Eze 1:19  And when the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them. And when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.

Eze 1:20  Wherever the spirit was to go, they went, because there the spirit went. And the wheels were lifted together with them, for the spirit/ruach H7307 of the living creatures was in the wheels/aphanayam H212.

The ruach/spirit of the cherubs were in their wheels. The imagery shows the ruach of the cherubs with their breath/aph searching for a fruitful resting place /An and their faces turn/pan in that direction. The appearance of the wheels was as tarshiysh/beryl. This same word 'Tarshiysh' is symbolically used as 'ships of Tarshisyh' which carry the basharah. The wheel was in the midst of a wheel & shows breath of lives

2Ch 9:21  For the sovereign’s ships went to Tarshish (תַּרְשִׁישׁ) with the servants of Ḥuram. Once in three years the ships of Tarshish came, bringing gold, and silver, ivory, apes, and baboons.

Isa 60:9  “Because the coastlands wait for Me, and the ships of Tarshish (תַּרְשִׁישׁ)  first, to bring your sons from afar, their silver and their gold with them, to the Name of יהוה your Elohim, and to the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl, because He has adorned you.

Eze 1:18  And their rims/gab H1354 were high /gabah H1363 and awesome/yarah H3374, and their rims/gab H1354 were covered with eyes, all around the four of them

The Abary word for rim (of the wheels) is 'gab' which means 'body/back/ring'

The rims of the wheels had eyes all around. The imagery shows that the one seated on the throne as a man (Ezekiel 1:26) is exalted in his body (resurrection) and fills the empty space of all creation.

Eze 10:13  The wheels/aphan H212 were called in my hearing, “Wheel/galgal H1534.”

We saw the ruach/spirit of the cherubs were in their wheels. The imagery shows the ruach of the cherubs with their breath/aph searching for a fruitful resting place /An (as for the ark of the covenant) and their faces turn/pan in that direction. The appearance of the wheels was as tarshiysh/beryl. This same word 'Tarshiysh' is symbolically used as 'ships of Tarshisyh' which carry the basharah. The wheel was in the midst of a wheel & shows breath of lives. The wheels find the rest place for the ark of the covenant as it was called in Eekiel's hearling 'GALGAL' Where was Yahusha impaled? Galgaltha which is called the place of the skull.

Mat 27:33  And when they came to a place called Galgaltha, that is to say, Place of a Skull,
Mat 27:34  they gave Him wine mixed with bile to drink. And after tasting, He would not drink it.

It was at this very same place the testimony can be seen of what YashaYahu gives from the vision he saw when one seraph cried out to another with his voice/qol, the picture is of a change in measurements (spiritual dimensions)/amah, change in mother/am (earthly  Yerushalayim to Heavenly Yerushalayim by being born from above), change from physical to spiritual truth/amath, change of blood in bowls/saph or sapaph of sheep & goats to the blood of Mashiyach, change of words of the carnal Torah to spiritual Torah. Though the faces and feet of seraphim were not seen as their wings covered them, but their voices testified of the coming spiritual change in the physical.

In Conclusion, the different scriptural views of the cherubims:

1. Masha was told to make cherubims over the ark with their wings touching each other. The ark of the covenant was kept in the tabernacle and was in a journey/soujourn

Num 10:35  And it came to be, whenever the ark set out, that Mosheh said, “Rise up, O יהוה! And let Your enemies be scattered, and let those who hate You flee before You.”

Num 10:36  And when it rested, he said, “Return, O יהוה, to the countless thousands of Yisra’ĕl.”

Heb 8:5  who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly, as Mosheh was warned when he was about to make the Tent. For He said, “See that you make all according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”

2. Shelemoh was given the pattern handed over to him by his father king David

1Ch 28:11  And Dawiḏ gave his son Shelomoh the plans for the porch, and its houses, and its treasuries, and its upper rooms, and its inner rooms, and the place of atonement;

1Ch 28:12  and the plans for all that he had by the Spirit, of the courtyards of the House of יהוה, and of all the rooms all around, and of the treasuries of the House of Elohim, and of the treasuries for the set-apart gifts;

1Ch 28:13  and for the divisions of the priests and the Lĕwites, and for all the work of the service of the House of יהוה, and for all the vessels of service in the House of יהוה;

1Ch 28:14  even gold by weight for utensils of gold, for all utensils used in every kind of service; for silver for all utensils of silver by weight, for all utensils used in every kind of service;

1Ch 28:15  and by weight for the lampstands of gold, and their lamps of gold, by weight for each lampstand and its lamps; and for the lampstands of silver by weight, for the lampstand and its lamps, according to the use of each lampstand;

1Ch 28:16  and by weight gold for the tables of the showbread, for each table, and silver for the tables of silver;

1Ch 28:17  and clean gold for the forks, and the basins, and the jars of clean gold, and the golden bowls, by weight for every bowl; and for the silver bowls, silver by weight for every bowl;

1Ch 28:18  and refined gold by weight for the altar of incense, and for the pattern of the chariot of the gold keruḥim, spreading out their wings and covering over the ark of the covenant of יהוה.

1Ch 28:19  “יהוה made me (David) understand all this in writing, by His hand upon me, all the works of these plans.”

Hence, the two cherubs with 20 cubits in length with one of their wings touching the wall/qiyr of the temple and one wing touching the wing of each other was a pattern revealed to David. We saw the qiyr has the root work 'qar' which means call & qiyr was also a place where all elders met. The dimensions 5 x 4 =20 shows the promise of the Torah to go to the ends of the world to bring the lost sheep of the house of Yasharal to the Most Set Apart place through the pure 22 letters of Abary which combined form the words, the words the sentences and the sentences the language.

Zep 3:9  “For then I shall turn unto the peoples a clean lip, so that they all call on the Name of יהוה, to serve Him with one shoulder.

The cherubs still remained confined within physical Yerushalayim overshadowing the ark of the covenant which came to rest, and remember this was the earthly pattern of the heavenly.

Heb 9:23  It was necessary, then, that the copies of the heavenly ones should be cleansed with these, but the heavenly ones themselves with better slaughter offerings than these.

3. YashaYahu's vision was a final call with the death of UzziYahu, that 7 kings and then the end of earthly monarchy of David and the transition to the Heavenly King of kings i.e. Yahusha who would spring forth from the lineage of David. The living creatures/seraphs were concealed in their appearance, to be revealed at a latter time as the temple still stood within physical Yerushalayim. But the Yahuah of hosts is revealed who was HIGH and lifted up and whose shul/hem filled the temple. John testifies in the basharah 12:41 "These things YashaYahu spoke of when he saw His (Yahusha's) esteem"

The cry of the seraphim's show that Yahuah is ready to move out and enter in (Set-Apart) and the whole land (arets: can mean earth of land or country) was filled with His esteem. And when they had cried the posts of the door moved (ie.the  transition to the intended heavenly pattern would  happen)

4. Ezekiel 1 & 10 vision was of the 4 cherubims with 4 wings and 4 faces, face of a man in the front, face of a lion on the right, face of the ox/calf on the left and the face of the eagle behind which show a revelation of the 4 basharah's going to the ends of the earth as the number 4 (arabah) shows the 4 ends of the earth from where the lost sons of Yasharal would be brought back. The four faces are the faces depicting the redemption and attributes of Yahusha ha Mashiyach

Eze 10:14  And each one had four faces: the first face was the face of a keruḇ, and the second face the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.

In Chapter 1 Ezekiel mentions the face of an ox/calf but in chapter 10 replaces it with the face of a cherub, which shows the face of the cherub was the face of an ox or alaph (א). Alaph is the Heavenly Supremacy.

The 4 cherubs were on wheels in the midst of the wheels whose ruach/spirit was in the wheels and were searching for the a place of rest for the ark of the covenant. Their rims/body/back/rings were exalted and had eyes all around.. The imagery shows that the one seated on the throne as a man (Ezekiel 1:26) is exalted in his body (resurrection) and fills the empty space (bah) of all creation.

Eph 4:8  That is why it says, “When He went up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men.”

Eph 4:9  But what does “He went up” mean, except that He also first went down into the lower parts of the earth?

Eph 4:10  He who went down is also the One who went up far above all the heavens, to fill all.

The search for REST to the ark of the covenant ends as the wheels/aphan were called in Ezekiel's hearing 'galgal'. Hence, Galgaltha was the place of REST. Amazing. Yahuah revealed as Yahusha!

Ezekiel was in captivity when he saw these visions.

Eze 1:1  And it came to be in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth of the month, as I was among the exiles by the River Keḇar, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of Elohim.

Eze 1:2  On the fifth of the month, in the fifth year of Sovereign Yehoyaḵin’s /YekonYah's exile,

Eze 1:3  the word of יהוה came expressly to Yeḥezqĕl the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the River Keḇar. And the hand of יהוה came upon him there.

Eze 10:20  It was the living creature I saw under the Elohim of Yisra’ĕl by the River Keḇar, and I knew they were keruḇim.

The living creatures are named by Ezekiel as cherubim where he saw their vision away from the land when the temple in Yerushalayim stood destroyed.

5. Yahuchanan/John was on the island Patmos, away from the land, when probably the temple in Yerushalayim was destroyed and was told not to seal the words of this prophecy

Rev 1:9  I, Yoḥanan, both your brother and co-sharer in pressure, and in the reign and endurance of יהושע Messiah, came to be on the island that is called Patmos for the Word of Elohim and for the witness of יהושע Messiah.

Rev 22:10  And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, because the time is near.

Yahuchanan is shown the living creatures called seraphims whose faces, body, wings are revealed and their cry to the same EL SHADAY Yahusha whom he sees through the sea of glass (mirror effect) as jasper and ruby (opposite stones in the breastplate of the high priest) who was, who is and who is to come, just as he sees one face of each living creature in a single dimension.

The 4 dimensions are also circular (dor) just as the earth is depicted to be as 4 ends, and He who sits on the circle/dor of the earth. Ezekiel gives a description of the entire 4 dimension view, whereas Yahuchanan gives a single dimension view of the throne of Yahuah & the 4 living creatures the 24 elders, front facing

Rev 4:4  And around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, dressed in white robes. And they had crowns of gold on their heads.

Rev 4:5  And out of the throne came lightnings, and thunders, and voices. And seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of Elohim.

Rev 4:6  And before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures, covered with eyes in front and in back.

Summary of the Note on Cherubim, Seraphim, and Living Creatures:

The note explores the biblical descriptions and spiritual significance of cherubim, seraphim, and living creatures as seen in various visions across scripture, emphasizing their connection to Yahuah (God) and Yahusha (Jesus) as divine manifestations. Key points include:

  1. Biblical Appearances:
    • Cherubim: First mentioned in Genesis 3:24, guarding the Tree of Life. In Exodus 25, they are crafted on the Ark of the Covenant, with wings touching and faces bowed toward the mercy seat, symbolizing Yahuah’s presence (Exodus 25:18-22). In 1 Kings 6 and 2 Chronicles 3, Solomon’s temple includes larger cherubim (20 cubits wingspan), symbolizing the Torah’s outreach to the four corners of the earth.
    • Seraphim: Described in Isaiah 6 with six wings, covering their faces and feet, symbolizing concealed divine revelation. They proclaim Yahuah’s holiness, linked to Yahusha (John 12:41).
    • Living Creatures: Seen in Ezekiel 1 and 10 (cherubim) and Revelation 4 (seraphim), with four faces (man, lion, ox, eagle) in Ezekiel, representing Yahusha’s attributes (Son of Man, Lion of Judah, sacrificial ox, resurrected eagle). Revelation’s creatures have six wings, eyes all around, and proclaim Yahuah’s eternal nature.
  2. Yahuah’s Presence:
    • Yahuah is described as dwelling between the cherubim (Psalms 80:1, 99:1) and riding upon a cherub (Psalm 18:10), signifying His divine authority and mobility. The cherubim’s wings and wheels (Ezekiel 1, 10) symbolize the spread of His word, likened to the “voice of the Almighty” (Ezekiel 1:24, 10:5).
  3. Symbolism and Spiritual Meaning:
    • The cherubim, seraphim, and living creatures are not merely angelic beings but prophetic representations of Yahusha’s divine roles. Their imagery (e.g., four faces, wheels within wheels) reflects the gospel’s reach to the “four ends of the earth” and the spiritual transition from earthly to heavenly Jerusalem.
    • The wheels (Ezekiel 1:16-20) symbolize the Spirit’s movement, with “eyes” indicating divine omniscience and the search for a resting place (fulfilled at Golgotha, Matthew 27:33).
    • The number 20 (wingspan) and 40 (cherubim dimensions) carry spiritual significance, representing the Torah’s global mission and testing periods, respectively.
  4. Visions in Context:
    • Moses (Exodus): Cherubim on the Ark reflect the temporary, earthly tabernacle.
    • Solomon (1 Kings, 2 Chronicles): Larger cherubim in the temple signify a more permanent dwelling, with wings touching the walls (qiyr, meaning “call”), inviting the elect to the Most Holy Place.
    • Isaiah: Seraphim’s vision (Isaiah 6) during King Uzziah’s death signals the transition from earthly kingship to Yahusha’s eternal reign, with concealed revelation.
    • Ezekiel: During exile, cherubim with four faces and wheels signify Yahusha’s redemptive work and the gospel’s global mission.
    • John (Revelation): The living creatures’ unveiled faces and six wings reflect the full revelation of Yahusha as Yahuah, seen through a “sea of glass” (Revelation 4:6).
  5. Genealogical Context:
    • The note ties the visions to the Davidic lineage, particularly addressing the curse on Yekonyah (Jeremiah 22:30), whose line could not produce the Messiah. Shealtiel, a “borrowed son” from Neri (Luke 3:27), breaks the curse, enabling Yahusha’s lineage through Nathan, not Solomon.
  6. Conclusion:
    • The cherubim, seraphim, and living creatures are unified as reflections of Yahusha’s divine attributes, transitioning from concealed (earthly) to revealed (heavenly) patterns. Their imagery points to Yahusha as Yahuah, the eternal King, whose gospel reaches all creation, culminating at Golgotha, the ultimate “resting place” for the Ark’s testimony.

The note uses scriptural cross-references, Hebrew word studies (e.g., qiyr, galgal), and imagery to argue that these beings prophetically depict Yahusha’s redemptive mission and divine identity.

The Torah of the Father to the Son

Rom 4:16  On account of this it is of belief, that it be according to favour, for the promise to be made certain to all the seed, not only to those who are of the Torah, but also to those who are of the belief of Aḇraham, who is father of us all –

Rom 4:17  as it has been written, “I have made you a father of many nations” – in the presence of Him whom he believed, even Elohim, who gives life to the dead and calls that which does not exist as existing,

Before Torah came written on stones it was handed over orally from father to son right from Adam. We have several examples from scripture where the fathers sacrificed to Yahuah in the manner it was taught to them without any documentation.

Adam taught Habal/Abel & Qayin, Habal was able to please Aluahym with his sacrifice and even though is dead, he still speaks as Aluahym is witnessing of his gifts.

Heb 11:4  By belief, Heḇel offered to Elohim a greater slaughter offering than Qayin, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, Elohim witnessing of his gifts. And through it, having died, he still speaks.

Noach built an altar to Yahuah and sacrificed to Him from every clean beast and clean bird as burnt offerings

Gen 8:20  And Noaḥ built an altar to יהוה, and took of every clean beast and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

Gen 8:21  And יהוה smelled a soothing fragrance, and יהוה said in His heart, “Never again shall I curse the ground because of man, although the inclination of man’s heart is evil from his youth, and never again smite all living creatures, as I have done,

Abraham built an altar to Yahuah and called on the name of Yahuah, while the direct text that a sacrifice was offered is missing, how else would he call on the name of Yahuah by building an altar to Yahuah? Why would an altar be built if no sacrifice was offered on it? Hence, the sacrifice was offered as taught to the son by his father.

Gen 12:7  And יהוה appeared to Aḇram and said, “To your seed I give this land.” And he built there an altar to יהוה, who had appeared to him.

Gen 12:8  And from there he moved to the mountain east of Bĕyth Ěl, and he pitched his tent, with Bĕyth Ěl on the west and Ai on the east. And he built there an altar to יהוה, and called on the Name of יהוה.

The same is seen of Yitshaq:

Gen 26:24  And יהוה appeared to him the same night and said, “I am the Elohim of your father Aḇraham. Do not fear, for I am with you, and shall bless you and increase your seed for My servant Aḇraham’s sake.”

Gen 26:25  And he built an altar there, and called on the Name of יהוה, and he pitched his tent there, and the servants of Yitsḥaq dug a well there.

and same is seen of Yaaqob:

Gen 33:18  And Yaʽaqoḇ came safely to the city of Sheḵem, which is in the land of Kenaʽan, when he came from Paddan Aram. And he pitched his tent before the city.

Gen 33:19  And he bought the portion of the field where he had pitched his tent, from the children of Ḥamor, Sheḵem’s father, for one hundred qesitah.

Gen 33:20  And he set up an altar there and called it Ěl Elohĕ Yisra’ĕl.

So we have evidence of fathers building an altar and calling on the name of Yahuah by sacrificing to Him without any document that needed to be followed. They didn't have to follow set laws to do it as they did it exactly the way the father taught it to the son.

When we look at Abraham, the one altar which is called the mikphad altar stands out over any other altar as it was built on Mount Moriah where hundreds of years later the temple was built on the same mount and the red heifer sacrifice was done on the mikphad altar opposite the temple i.e. outside the gate on the Day of Atonement. This altar stood on the east of Eden i.e.on Mount of Olives, built originally by Adam himself on which Qayin and Habal sacrificed & later Abraham went to sacrifice his only son Yitshaq on it, but by the divine instruction of the Messenger of Yahuah offered the ram caught by its horns in the thickets instead of his son and received him back as a type.

Heb 11:18  of whom it was said, “In Yitsḥaq your seed shall be called,”

Heb 11:19  reckoning that Elohim was able to raise, even from the dead, from which he received him back, as a type.

Abraham named this place Yahuah Yarah, which means on the Mount Yahuah will be seen.

The promise that he would be father of many nations was made to Abraham and his name changed from Abram to Abraham. I have shared this before how Yahuah worked according to the Torah of life of the Father to Son through the promise which was not made to 'seeds' but to 'YOUR SEED' who is Mashiyach.

Gal 3:16  But the promises were spoken to Aḇraham, and to his Seed. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Messiah.

Abraham was Abram when he was 99 years old when Yahuah Aluahym appeared to him as Al Shaddai and gave him the covenant of circumcision/barayat mila and changed his name from Abram to Abraham and his wife's name, from Sarai to Sarah. We saw how Yahuah did it in my previous studies.

Col 2:9  Because in Him dwells all the completeness of the Mightiness bodily,

Col 2:10  and you have been made complete in Him, who is the Head of all principality and authority.

Col 2:11  In Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Messiah,

While Mashiyach was circumcised physically when born into the world, before even He came into this world, He was working in the hearts of the fathers and the sons through the circumcision of the heart. That is why Shaul says Abraham was justified by belief when he was in the uncircumcised state and the outward sign came later as the 'seal of righteousness'

Rom 4:7  “Blessed are those whose lawlessnesses are forgiven, and whose sins are covered,

Rom 4:8  blessed is the man to whom יהוה shall by no means reckon sin.”

Rom 4:9  Is this blessing then upon the circumcised only, or also upon the uncircumcised? For we affirm: Belief was reckoned unto Aḇraham for righteousness.

Rom 4:10  How then was it reckoned? Being in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.

Rom 4:11  And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the belief while in uncircumcision, for him to be a father of all those believing through uncircumcision, for righteousness to be reckoned to them also,

Rom 4:12  and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the belief which our father Aḇraham had in uncircumcision.

Rom 2:28  For he is not a Yehuḏite who is so outwardly, neither is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh.

Rom 2:29  But a Yehuḏite is he who is so inwardly, and circumcision is that of the heart, in Spirit, not literally, whose praise is not from men but from Elohim.

Speaking of Yahuchanan the Immerser coming in the Ruach of Alahayu, it was prophesied of Him that he would come to prepare the way of Yahuah in the wilderness. And here the messenger tells ZacharYah his father that in the ruach of AlaYahu, he will restore the heart of the fathers to the children.

Luk 1:16  “And he shall turn many of the children of Yisra’ĕl to יהוה their Elohim.

Luk 1:17  “And he shall go before Him in the spirit and power of Ěliyahu, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the insight of the righteous, to make ready a people prepared for יהוה.”

Mal 4:4  “Remember the Torah of Mosheh, My servant, which I commanded him in Ḥorĕḇ for all Yisra’ĕl – laws and right-rulings.

Mal 4:5  “See, I am sending you Ěliyah the prophet before the coming of the great and awesome day of יהוה.

Mal 4:6  “And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the sons, and the heart of the sons to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with utter destruction

While the angel Gabriel recites the prophecy of Malachi 4:4-6 about Yahuchanan the Immerser coming in the ruach of AlaYahu and turning the heart of the fathers to the sons, Luke 1:17 translation replaces the text which says in Malachi from 'and the heart of the sons to the fathers' with the following text : 'and the disobedient to the insight of the righteous'

While this confusion of translation from Greek reverse to Hebrew and then into English will always be a problem as we don't have the original NT scrolls in Hebrew but in Greek translation, we should look elsewhere to see what is the meaning of the actual text here.

Firstly the context is stated in Mal 3:7 where Yahuah says that from the days of your fathers you have turned aside from my 'choq' and choq means statues/ordinances

Mal 3:7  “From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from My ordinances/choq H2706 and did not guard them. Turn back to Me, and I shall turn back to you,” said יהוה of hosts. “But you said, ‘In what shall we turn back?’

Lets look at the Hebrew word choq in relation to the Son:

Psa 2:7 “I inscribe/saphar  (סָפַר )for a law/ choq (חֹק) Yahuah has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today/ha yom I have brought You forth.

The word saphar is used for scroll and has also root word sapphiyr which is a purple stone, in scripture the throne of Yahuah on which Yahusha was seated as Yahuah is mentioned as sapphiyr.

In Exodus Masha records of him, Aharon, Nadab & Abihu along with the 70 elders of Yasharal having the covenant meal with Yahuah and he describes how the Aluahym of Yasharal looked like and they were not killed. Below Yahuah's feet was like a paved work of sapphiyr

Exo 24:9  And Mosheh went up, also Aharon, Naḏaḇ, and Aḇihu, and seventy of the elders of Yisra’ĕl,
Exo 24:10  and they saw the Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, and under His feet like a paved work of sapphire stone (סַפִּיר ), and like the heavens for brightness.

Ezekiel records a man sitting on the throne and the throne was like a sapphiyr. Both these instances are related to the Son being seen in a vision

Eze 1:26  And above the expanse over their heads was the likeness of a throne, in appearance like a sapphire stone (סַפִּיר ). And on the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man high above it.

The word choq is translated in most places as statue/ordinance.

The first covenant came written first in the heart of the fathers and then the stones, and these words were copied on a scroll. The second witness always existed as a testimony or witness in the heart of the fathers of belief. The ones following the words literally written on stones fell as they failed to see the witness of Yahuah existed as oral Torah given to the fathers and taught to the sons. Later even though the words came written on stones or scrolls, the ruach was always hidden in the letter as a shanayim/second witness. The same covenant was renewed and came written in the heart of flesh with the engraving of the Ruach tying the heart of the sons to the second witness which existed even before the written Torah was given. That’s why Shaul says we are no longer under the Torah of sin and death but under the Ruach of life in Mashiyach Yahusha. The second set of tablets given to Masha was like a type of this as it was accompanied by Yahuah proclaiming His name Yahuah who is kind and merciful to thousands.

The oral Torah which came from fathers to the sons came documented on the sapphiyr made from the paved work of His feet showing the path one needs to walk in. The Hebrew word for way/path is 'derek'. Yahusha said "I am the Way/Derek, the truth and the life and no one can come to the Father but by Me" John 14:6

Exo 34:6 And יהוה passed before him and proclaimed, “יהוה ,יהוה, an Ěl compassionate and showing favour, patient, and great in loving-commitment and truth,
Exo 34:7 watching over loving-commitment for thousands, forgiving crookedness and transgression and sin, but by no means leaving unpunished, visiting the crookedness of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”

The Sonship came through the written word on the blue/purple inscription and Yahuah seconded it by He Himself testifying of the Son as Yahuah both in OT as well as NT,  as seen in places as the basharah where Yahusha says “Father esteem your name”, and a voice came from heaven “ I have both esteemed it and will esteem it again” and people who stood by said it had thundered and yet others said a Messenger from heaven had spoken.

Joh 12:28  “Father, esteem Your Name.” Then a voice came from the heaven, “I have both esteemed it and shall esteem it again.”
Joh 12:29  So the crowd who stood by and heard it were saying there had been thunder. Others said, “A messenger has spoken to Him.”
Joh 12:30  יהושע answered and said, “This voice did not come because of Me, but for your sake.

Also Hebrews says ‘And again when He brought His firstborn into the world He said “Let all the messengers of Aluahym worship Him”

Heb 1:6  And when He again brings the first-born into the world, He says, “Let all the messengers of Elohim worship Him.”

The second/shanayim voice proclamation is very important to understand the voice tenses as to who is speaking whom Hebrews 12 says it was the same voice speaking one from heaven and one on earth.

Heb 12:25  Take heed not to refuse the One speaking. For if those did not escape who refused the warning on earth, much less we who turn away from Him from heaven,
Heb 12:26  whose voice (qol: singular) shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also the heaven.”

Isa 49:15 “Would a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Though they forget, I never forget you.
Isa 49:16 “See, I have inscribed/choq you on the palms of My hands; your walls are always before Me.

The ordinance came inscribed on the hands of Yahusha the Son who was impaled for us on the stake. Same word choq used but instead of statue is translated as inscribed whereas the word inscribed/saphar is used in Psalms 2:7 which means engraved on scroll. Something written/kathub which was spoken, and the choq is that ordinance which is spoken. The father to son oral torah was a reflection of the Father Son relationship where the Son is testifying by Ruach/Sprit saying " Yahuah is documenting what He said in an inscription of what He spoke, You are My Son and this day/ha yom have I begotten You"

The Hebrew words 'ha yom' show the formation of what was thought, spoken, uttered previously by the Ruach is now coming into a time fulfillment into being documented.

Gal 4:4  But when the fullness of days came, Elohim sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under Torah,
Gal 4:5  to redeem those who were under Torah, in order to receive the adoption as sons.

The Hebrew word for fullness is 'mala' H4390 (mem lamed alaph)

The root words in ‘Mala’ are :

Mal: speak / word
Mul: circumcise
La: no

The word ‘fullness’ shows Yahuah testifying that He has spoken and no longer is He just speaking it but documenting it with a sign as though saying "here is the sign of what I have spoken and that sign is circumcision"

The first word in Gal 4:4 speaks of the ruach rengerative words with a sign of circumcision

Gal 4:4 uba (And in) mal (word and circumcise ) at (alaph tau) ha (this ) day by day (yamyam) sent Alauahym His Son brought forth of a woman put under the Torah.

The verse should read “And in the circumcised word alaph tau spoken day by day, sent Aluahym His Son brought forth of a woman put under Torah”

This is the circumcision of Mashiyach within the heart as the testimony of what was spoken day by day through the Ruach of Sonship now inscribed on a scroll.

Coming back to Abram and Sarai, Yahuah gave two ‘ha’ one to Abram to make him Abraham and other ‘ha’ to  Sarai to make her Sarah and His hand/yod cut out with a sharp instrument / uau the promise He had spoken to give a seal of righteousness in the flesh called circumcision . And the letters put together form His name Yahuah. And this He did when Abraham was 99 and one year later Yitshaq was born.

Yod- hand
Ha- given to Abram to make him Abraham
Uau- sharp instrument or nail to circumcise him
Ha- given to Sarai to make her Sarah

Gen 17:1   And it came to be when Aḇram was ninety-nine years old, that יהוה appeared to Aḇram and said to him, “I am Ěl Shaddai – walk before Me and be perfect.

Gen 17:5  “And no longer is your name called Aḇram, but your name shall be Aḇraham, because I shall make you a father of many nations.

Gen 17:15  And Elohim said to Aḇraham, “As for Sarai your wife, do not call her name Sarai, for Sarah is her name.

Gen 17:24  And Aḇraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

Gen 21:5  And Aḇraham was one hundred years old when his son Yitsḥaq was born to him.

Luke 1:
ܘܣܓܝܐܐ ܡܢ ܒܢܝ ܝܣܪܝܠ ܢܦܢܐ ܠܘܬ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܗܘܢ
16 And many from the sons of IysraIyl {Israel} he will turn towards MarYa Alahhun {The Lord-YHWH, their God}.

17 And he will go before Him in the rukha {the spirit}, and in the khayla {the power} of EliYa Nabiya {Elijah, the Prophet}, so that he might turn the heart of the abahe {the fathers}, to the banaya {the sons}, and unto those who are not persuaded, unto the iydatha d’Kinee {the knowledge of the Just One}, and he will prepare a gamiyra Ama {a perfect People} for MarYa {The Lord-YHWH}.

Coming back to Luke 1:17, the verse in Malachi 4 reads as heart of the sons to their fathers

This portion reads as follows in various NT translations

Kjv: and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just;

TS2009: and the disobedient to the insight of the righteous

Peshitta: and unto those who are not persuaded, unto the iydatha d’Kinee {the knowledge of the Just One}

Bayitha Mashiyach translation: and the wayward into the understanding of the righteous,

First we need to understand why the heart of the fathers shall be turned to the sons. To understand this better in Hebrew, the word ‘shub’ means ‘turn’ but the word there is ‘שיב/shayab’ which means restore/reconciled

A simple illustration would be where both the words used in one scripture:

Lev25:27 then he shall calculate the years of its sale and restore/shayab שיב the balance to the man to whom he sold it to him, and shall return/shab שב to his property.

So the heart of the fathers are restored/reconciled to the sons. The verse in Malachi should read:

Mal 4:6  “And he shall reconcile/שיב the heart of the fathers to the sons, and the heart of the sons to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with utter destruction.

Here the heart/leb is singular for both the fathers and the sons whilst the fathers and sons is plural.

The renewed covenant spiritualizes the reconciliation, if the first part of the verse says the heart of the fathers are reconciled or restored to the sons , then it goes on to say the heart of the sons to the fathers are also reconciled or restored.  And the Khabouris Peshitta gives an apt translation to show who the fathers and sons represent.

The Aramaic word דנףנא (danapna) means ‘to recover ones senses’ or to do something again or payback. It’s just like the prodigal son who came to his senses and decided to go back to his fathers house.

The verse reads as :

Luke 1:17 And he will go before Him in the rukha {the spirit}, and in the khayla {the power} of EliYa Nabiya {Elijah, the Prophet}, so that he might restore the heart of the abahe {the fathers}, to the banaya {the sons}, and unto those who are not persuaded, unto the iydatha d’Kinee {the knowledge of the Just One}, and he will prepare a gamiyra Ama {a perfect People} for MarYa {The Lord-YHWH}.

In the verse when looked closely the problem is not with the fathers but the sons. Here is a spiritual perspective:

If you notice the word ‘laba’ translated as ‘heart’ (leb/לב in Hebrew) is singular whilst the fathers is in plural and this is because the fathers are fathers of belief to whom the oral Torah came from the JUST FATHER and their hearts are United as ONE to serve Yahuah completely, moreover,  they are reflecting His relationship with the sons, whereas those not persuaded are the sons whose heart (לב) is also ONE in rebellion but in the path to be persuaded. The Peshitta, Greek and Hebrew translations don't include the singular heart (leb) for the sons but it’s there in the Malachi text.

Psalms 68: 18  You have ascended on high, You have led captivity captive, You have received gifts among men, And even the rebellious, That Yah Elohim might dwell there.

Looking at the Peshitta text one would ask the question 'Now you will say how do you know the sons will be persuaded?'' It’s because the last part of the verse says “… and he will prepare a gamiyra Ama {a perfect People} for MarYa {The Lord-YHWH}”

Hence, the renewed covenant gives a ruachoth/spiritual perspective of the restoration of the HEART of the fathers of belief  to the HEART of now persuaded sons and the HEART of the many not persuaded sons (on the path to be persuaded) restored to the fathers of belief in the knowledge of the JUST ONE who is Yahusha ha Mashiyach. This is the only sensible interpretation and the ‘heart/לב’ is singular for both the fathers and the sons (for sons we pick it up from the Malachi text). The problem of rebellion lies with the sons and not the fathers. The fathers of belief are the ones who set the example to the sons.

The knowledge of the JUST ONE, the Aramaic Peshitta calls out is Yahusha ha Mashiyach who is at both ends as EVERLASTING FATHER and in between as the SON in a mediator role. If you closely understand the exposition of Malachi 4:6 in comparison to Luke 1:17, you will see this profound truth. The words highlighted below are the singular leb/heart for the plural fathers and the plural sons.

Mal 4:6  והשׁיב לב־אבות על־בנים ולב בנים על־אבותם פן־אבוא והכיתי את־הארץ חרם׃

Once we have understood the promise made to Abraham in the fullness (מלאת/circumcised words) of days after days/ימים yamyam , the Son came forth from the Father brought forth of a woman under Torah we will be able to see that He is the same Yahuah manifest as the JUST ONE. The knowledge of Him would reveal that when He would appear, the ruach of AlaYahu would prepare the WAY/DEREK for him in the wilderness as it was prophesied “the Voice/קול qol of one crying in the wilderness, prepare the way of Yahuah”

Joh 1:23  He said, “I am a voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way/derek of יהוה,’ Isa 40:3 as the prophet Yeshayahu said.”

This prophetic voice would reconcile the heart of the JUST FATHER to the persuaded sons, and the heart of the not persuaded sons will be persuaded and restored in the SON to the JUST FATHER where both Peshitta terms the Father and Son as 'the knowledge of the Just One'

2Co 4:6  For Elohim, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts for the enlightening of the knowledge of the esteem of Elohim in the face of יהושע Messiah.

To bring many sons to esteem, the Son being in the form of Aluahym did not consider it robbery to be equal to Aluahym but being found in the form of man, he made Himself of no reputation and chose servanthood even to the point of death.

Php 2:6  who, being in the form of Elohim, did not regard equality with Elohim a robbery

Php 2:7  but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, and came to be in the likeness of men.

Php 2:8  And having been found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, death even of a stake.

We saw what Gal 4:4 means

Gal 4:4 says Yahusha as the Son came under the Torah

Gal 4:5  to redeem those who were under Torah, in order to receive the adoption as sons.

Hence as the mediator He spoke with the Ruach of Sonship to grant us the adoption as sons. Everything that Yahuah is, the Son is, as everything has been handed over to the Son so that in the Sonship everything is restored/reconciled

Joh 5:19  Therefore יהושע responded and said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son is able to do none at all by Himself, but only that which He sees the Father doing, because whatever He does, the Son also likewise does.

Joh 5:20  “For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all that He Himself does. And greater works than these He is going to show Him, in order that you marvel.

Joh 5:21  “For as the Father raises the dead and makes alive, even so the Son makes alive whom He wishes.

Joh 5:22  “For the Father judges no one, but has given all the judgment to the Son,

Joh 5:23  that all should value the Son even as they value the Father. He who does not value the Son does not value the Father who sent Him.

Mat 11:27  “All have been handed over to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and he to whom the Son wishes to reveal Him.

The Unitarians will never understand why He speaks in 2 tenses unless they are willing to see everything being reconciled in the SONSHIP where the FATHER is in FULLNESS

Heb 2:13  And again, “I shall put My trust in Him.” And again, “See, I and the children whom Elohim gave Me.

'' I shall put my trust in Him'' is the persuaded state of the sons in the SON and "See, I and the children who Aluahym gave me" is the transition to the FATHER. Here we see Yahusha identifying Himself as "I" (the Father) and the children (sons of the Father) whom Aluahym gave Me (given how? by decree)

The verse is from YashaYahu 8:18

Isa8:18 Behold, I and the children whom Yahuah has given me are for signs (authoth) and for wonders/mupathyam in Yisra’El from Yahuah of hosts, who dwells on Mount Tsion.

auth: is a mark of agreement between two parties

Mupath: means an amazing sight or event as a piercing

The children given to Yahusha is an agreement by decree so that the heart of the sons be persuaded to be restored/reconciled to the FATHER, and the FATHER cannot be found anywhere else except in the SON in whose obedience the persuasion is completed and we transitioned.

Hence, Yahusha speaks the same language of the Father to Son decrees or oracles given before the written Torah came, the letter kills but the Ruach gives life. Shalum!

Exposition on ZacharYah 13:7

Zec 13:7  “O sword, awake against My Shepherd, against the warrior/geber (גבר)H1397 who is My Companion/amyath H5997,(עמית)” declares יהוה of hosts. “Strike the Shepherd, and let the sheep be scattered. But I shall turn My hand upon the little ones.

Zech 13:7 is undeniably speaking of Yahusha ha Mashiyach as the same scripture is quoted in the Renewed Covenant as well

Mat 26:31  Then יהושע said to them, “All of you shall stumble in Me this night, for it has been written, ‘I shall strike the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered.’

Mar 14:27  And יהושע said to them, “All of you shall stumble in Me this night, for it has been written, ‘I shall strike the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.’

Yahusha Himself quotes Zechariah 13:7 in respect to Him as a Shepherd being stricken and the sheep being scattered.

Zechariah 13:7 is a testimony Yahuah gives of the Gibbor (prevailing warrior) who is His עמית (translated as Companion)

The word AMYATH has two major root words

AM (עם) which means ‘people’

Yath (ית) tied up to את (alaph tau). Yath has the letters yod tau which shows the covenant (tau) made by hand (yod) and this is tied up to Yahusha as his hands (yod ) were impaled to the stake (tau). Tau in ancient paleo Hebrew is the shape of ‘t’

The second word in the attachment above is amyath, Hebrew reads from right to left and the last two letters are yath where we can see the yod/hand and the stake or covenant/ tau. Am in Hebrew means ‘people or nation’

Zec 13:7  “O sword, awake against My Shepherd, against the warrior/geber (גבר)H1397 who is My Companion/amyath H5997,(עמית)” declares/ naam H5002 (נאם)יהוה of hosts. “Strike the Shepherd, and let the sheep be scattered. But I shall turn My hand upon the little ones.

Before we see the next word naam, there is only one who has prevailed and is named as AL GIBBOR and He is Yahusha ha Mashiyach.

Isa 9:6  For a Child is born unto us, a Son is given unto us, and the rule is on His shoulder. And His Name is called Wonder, Counsellor, Ěl Gibbor/(גבר)H1368, Father of Continuity, Prince of Peace.

AmYath is translated as ‘Companion or Equal’ but the correct translation should be ‘my kindred’
The Yath shows the extension to us being the am/עם ie. The people of Yahuah through Mashiyach’s hands being impaled on the stake.

Naam (נאם) H5002 is from H5001 used only once as a repeated word in

Jer23:31 Behold, I am against the prophets, says Yahuah, who use their tongues and declare/yanaamu, He says/naam

Hence, naam also means ‘utter/utterance/oracles’

Why does Yahuah tell the sword/chereb to awake?

Strong’s H5783 aur/עור means ‘to wake/opening of the eyes’

The root word ar in aur means bare/naked

Gen 2:25  And they were both naked/arum H6174 (ערם), the man and his wife, yet they were not ashamed.

The root word in arum is ar

The sword’s eyes opening is metaphorical language and is tied up with Adam and Chauah’s eyes being opened after they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Luk 22:36  And He said to them, “But now, let him who has a purse take it, likewise also a bag. And let him who has no sword sell his garment and buy one.
Luk 22:37  “For I say to you that what has been written has yet to be accomplished in Me, ‘And He was reckoned with lawless ones.’ Isa 53:12. For that which refers to Me has an end too.”
Luk 22:38  And they said, “Master, look, here are two swords.” But He said to them, “That is enough!”

Scripture always portrays a two fold witness, there was a disciple who was following Yahusha with a linen cloth and when he was caught, he left the linen cloth and ran away naked

Mar 14:51  And a certain young man was following Him, having a linen cloth thrown around his naked body. And when they seized him,
Mar 14:52  he left the linen cloth and fled from them naked (ערם)

They stripped Yahusha of his outer garments and divided His garments making Him expose His body too.
Yahusha : Shepherd
Sheep: The young man represents us the sheep

Strike the rohi/shepherd

Psa 23:1  יהוה is my shepherd/ROHI ; I do not lack.

There is only One Good shepherd who laid down His life for His sheep/צאן H6629

The word sheep is deeply tied to Zion/Tsayun (ציון) H6726 as both have the root words Tsun/צון or צנ which means sign/title/waymark H6725

Doesn’t it say, the sheep hear the voice of the shepherd and follow after Him?

They put a marker on Yahusha’s stake and all passer-byes mocked Him

Luk 23:38  And there was also an inscription written over Him in letters of Greek, and Roman, and Hebrew: THIS IS THE SOVEREIGN OF THE YEHUḎIM.

Mar 15:26  And the inscription of His accusation was written above: THE SOVEREIGN OF THE YEHUḎIM.
Mar 15:27  And with Him they impaled two robbers, one on His right and the other on His left.
Mar 15:28  And the Scripture was filled which says, “And He was reckoned with the lawless.” Isa 53:12.
Mar 15:29  And those passing by were blaspheming Him, shaking their heads Psa 22:7 and saying, “Ah! You who destroy the Dwelling Place and build it in three days,
Mar 15:30  save Yourself, and come down from the stake!”

Now when we revisit the scriptures Luke 22:36-38 we see Yahusha telling to sell garment and buy a sword and verse 38 says And they said “ Master, look,  here are two swords”

Gen3:24 So He drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword whirling around
to guard the way to the tree/ets of lives/chayim

Many see only one sword here as it says flaming sword in singular but let’s look at the passage closely

It’s says 1. He drove the man/Adam , hold on what about his wife?

Gen 5:1   This is the book of the genealogy of Aḏam. In the day that Elohim created man, He made him in the likeness of Elohim.
Gen 5:2  Male and female He created them, and He blessed them, and called their name ‘Aḏam’ in the day they were created.

Aluahym created them male and female and called their name Adam, hence the wife is included in the driving out of Eden even though Adam is used singular here.
2. Cherubim placed. Here we don’t have an issue because Cherubim is plural showing more than one cherub was kept to guard the way to the tree of life.
3. All our English bibles says ‘ tree of life’ but the Hebrew renders it as ‘tree of lives’

So there had to more than one tree, nope, the ets/tree is in singular but the lives/chayim is plural.

Gen 2:7  And יהוה Elohim formed the man out of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils breath of lives/chayim , And the man became a living being.

When Yahuah Aluahym formed Adam, He breathed into Adam the breath of lives. Adam represented his race which includes us.

Hence, when we read tree of lives, the tree of lives represents those in Yahusha who would receive eternal life and hence Yahusha represents His kind.

1Co 15:45  And so it has been written, “The first man Aḏam became a living being,” the last Aḏam a life-giving Spirit.

Shaul the emissary speaks of this representation of Adam and  Mashiyach

1Co 15:48  As is the earthy, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly, so also are those who are heavenly.
1Co 15:49  And as we have borne the likeness of the earthy, we shall also bear the likeness of the heavenly.

4. Flaming sword: A singular sword at first blush but the English renders it as whirling  around and the Hebrew word there is ‘hamith’hapeketh’

The word haphak H2015 means overturn as in pouring out its contents.

All translations omit the word ‘math’ before the word ‘haphak’.

Math means Man/Mortal

Gen 3:8 And they heard the sound of יהוה Elohim as a man/mat H4962 walking/halak H1980 about in the garden in the ruach/ H7307 רוּחַ in the day/ha yom, and Aḏam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of יהוה Elohim among the trees of the garden.

Here is the verse in Hebrew

Gen 3:8 וישמעו את קול יהוה אלהים *מתהלך * בגן—לרוח היום ויתחבא האדם ואשתו מפני יהוה אלהים בתוך עץ הגן

They didn't translate 'mat' in the word 'mat halak' as it didn't make sense to them of Yahuah Aluahym walking as a man in the garden of Adan because most of the Messianics see Yahuah Aluahym can't be a man. But this imagery cannot be ignored. It was not that Yahuah was a man but they heard the sound of Yahuah Aluahym as a man walking about in the garden in the Ruach in the day. They translated 'ruach hayom' as 'cool of the day'.

This is evidence of Yahuah in a bodily form being face to face with His creation as Messenger of Yahuah in OT and finally took the bodily form as Yahusha to be our Redeemer.

The flaming sword was unveiling the man by pouring out the hidden content of who He was and that is none other than Yahusha ha Mashiyach.

When ZecharYah says Awake sword, he is prophesying the making bare of the hidden content of who Yahusha is, He is Yahuah Himself and at the east /qedem קדם we have the man Yahusha through whose veil of the flesh one would be able to access the tree of lives/chayim as He was the type of Adam who was to come. Adam represented his race by holding the breath of mortal breath leading everyone to death and Yahusha represents His race holding the Ruach breath giving those passing through the veil of His flesh breath of lives in Himself.

Heb 10:19  So, brothers, having boldness to enter into the Set-apart Place by the blood of יהושע,
Heb 10:20  by a new and living way which He instituted for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,

His disciples carrying two swords is an imagery of Him opening the way/Derek to the tree of lives.

Rev 2:7  “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes, I shall give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of Elohim.”

The other picture is of Yahuah dividing asunder by allowing the sword pass through Him to bring forth His substance into a human form to be face to face with His creation so that everyone coming through the veil of His flesh would enter into Yahuah to have the same breath of His which is manifest in His human form ie. Yahusha.

Joh 5:26  “For as the Father possesses life in Himself, so He gave also to the Son to possess life in Himself,

Heb 4:12  For the Word of Elohim is living, and working, and sharper than any two-edged sword, cutting through even to the dividing of being and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

The double edged sword is what is manifest which He brought on Himself to reveal His content in being in the human form.

Double edged sword: PaypaYah chereb

The two mouths seed (pah pah) of Yahuah, where Yahusha spoke in both the first tense as well as the second tense voice.

Rev 2:12  “And to the messenger of the assembly in Pergamos write, ‘He who has the sharp two-edged sword, says this:

Rev 1:16  And in His right hand He held seven stars, and out of His (Yahusha’s) mouth went a sharp two-edged sword,b and His face was as the sun shining in its strength.

The cherubim placed:

Eze 41:17  from the space above the door, even to the inner house, as well as outside, and on every wall all around, inside and outside, by measure.
Eze 41:18  And it was made with keruḇim and palm trees, and a palm tree between keruḇ and keruḇ. A keruḇ had two faces,
Eze 41:19  so that the face of a man was toward a palm tree on one side, and the face of a young lion toward a palm tree on the other side – made on all the House all around.
Eze 41:20  From the floor to the space above the door, and on the wall of the Hěḵal, keruḇim and palm trees were carved.

Ezekiel saw the cherubs between Palm tree on both sides on all the walls of the set apart place in the haykal.

א ת (alaph tau)—  כת  (crush)

Adam ( last Adam: Mashiyach) tamar (erect palm ) kapyir from kaphar ( mercy seat).

Tamar also bore from Yahudah Perets and Zarach
Perets means breach and is mentioned in Mashiyach genealogy in Matthew 1

Breach can also mean splitting into parts as we see  the pattern shown as divided in cherub on one side of the palm tree/tamar and another cherub on the other side , both cherubs facing the palm tree.
Tamar has root words tam which mean’s upright and mar which means bitter
The picture is of Mashiyach on either sides as well as the center of the pattern. It’s all about him.

1. The face of man/Adam facing the palm tree
2. The face of young lion (lion of Yahudah) , also denoted by the one sitting on the lid of atonement or mercy seat (kaphar)
3. The Tamar : the Tree which stood erect Inspite of being given wormwood to drink

The Cherubs - two were placed with flaming sword which reveals the content of the man Yahusha,so that Adam and Chauah don’t eat from the tree of lives without passing through the man Yahusha who is Yahuah Himself in human form.

Two Cherubs bowing to kaphar/ mercy seat in Most Set Apart place, Two cherubs between palm tree,
AhaYah asher AhaYah, Yahuah said to My Yahuah sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool, Yahuah rained fire out of Yahuah from heaven,
Yahuah proclaiming name Yahuah before Masha when second set of sapphire tablets engraved with his fingers was given, Yahuah testified as Messenger of Yahuah in Luke 2 while Yahuah was actually lying in a manger, Father esteem your name, then a voice came out from heaven “ I have esteemed it and will esteem it again”
People who stood said it thundered
And others said An Angel spoke from heaven

All this shows by Decree Yahuah ordained Himself to come forth into a body and dwell in it in His fullness (Col 1:19, 2:9)

Yahuchanan saw Yahusha His Eyes were as Flames of Fire 🔥

His voice was like roaring of waters

Ties to the trough Alayahu filled with water and then the flame of fire came down and licked up the sacrifice with the water.

The consummation as opposites ie. Water and Fire

Psa 29:3  The voice of יהוה is over the waters; The Ěl of esteem thunders; יהוה is over many waters.

Psa 29:7  The voice of יהוה cuts through the flames of fire.

Noach time destruction by water, the present earth is reserved to be destroyed by fire, In between is mercy.

When I go through the waters, it won’t harm me
When I go through the fire, the fire won’t burn me

Shedrach Mesach Abednego went through fire 🔥 but it didn’t harm them . The Son of Man was there in the midst.

The disciples were in the boat when the winds and the waves hit them, didn’t harm them as Yahusha was in the boat

Isa 43:2  “When you pass through the waters, I am with you; and through rivers, they do not overflow you. When you walk through fire, you are not scorched, and a flame does not burn you.

All ties up with water and fire.

We are regenerated through the washing of the water by His word
Voice of Yahuah over many waters. He takes us through the depths.

And through fire 🔥 as the sacrifice on the altar.

Our Aluahym is a consuming fire, He makes his ministers a flame of fire.
Water and fire were elements in many things for purification in the temple.

Eze 10:5  And the sound of the wings/kanaph of the keruḇim was heard in the outer court, like the voice of Ěl Shaddai when He speaks.

Kanaph also means hide

The cherubs and their wings imagery is of Mashiyach.
His voice was heard in the outer court. He came in flesh

Sun of Righteousness with healing in his wings. He that dwells in secret place of the Most High abides under the wings of the EL Shaddai. Mashiyach is that secret place.

Again two voices, One that is within the Most Setapart place, And one that reaches the outer court. He is the temple or Tabernacle. That’s why He said, the words that He spoke are not His but the Fathers, The Father cannot be found beyond Him.

As in the outer court we see the Lamb but in the inner court we see the Lion/ kaphyir
Kaphar the mercy seat where the two cherubim bow.
Yahuah is called as One who dwells between the kerubim.
Shalum!
