The concealed coding in Scriptures

 

Preface

This note explores Gematria, a traditional Yahudite method of interpreting Hebrew scriptures through numerical values assigned to letters, revealing hidden connections and prophetic meanings. It examines its historical origins, biblical applications, and spiritual significance, culminating in a redemptive narrative fulfilled in Yahusha, the Messiah.


🔢 I. What is Gematria?

Gematria is a traditional Yahudite method of interpreting Hebrew scriptures by calculating the numerical value of words. Each Hebrew letter has a numerical equivalent, and the sum of the letters in a word or name can point to deeper or hidden connections between words that share the same total.

There are three aspects to Gematria:

1. Numbers in scripture. e.g.: numbers 2, 3, 7, 19, 40, 42, 10, 100 etc. in patterns

2. Standard weight : Alphabets, Words & Weights Patterns

A. Numerical values of names, words which add up a value.

B. Weights & measurements used. For e.g. pattern given to Masha to build altars, tabernacle items with their measurements, measurements of grain offering, drink offering, ephah, bath, talent, minah etc.

3. Spiritual weight : Prophetic Wordplay

The coding of a divine order in numbers in scripture interpreting numbers, alphabets, words & weight patterns.

🏛️ Historical Origins of Gematria

1. Gematria and Ancient Semitic Culture

  • The idea of letters also being numbers existed from the earliest forms of Semitic scripts, including Phoenician, which influenced Paleo-Hebrew.

  • In the Hebrew system, each letter doubled as a number, so assigning numeric values was natural and structural, not invented later.

  • For example, the Dead Sea Scrolls include writings where numbers are hinted through letters.

So the mechanism of gematria existed long before it became a method of interpretation.


📜 II. Ancient Yashar’El and Gematria Use

  • While Gematria as a formal method became widely used in Second Temple  especially in Rabbinic texts, the idea of letters and numbers being interconnected was already present in biblical times. They went a step ahead to decode it.
  • Examples like Daniel 5 (Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin) reflect numerical/judgment wordplay, showing that values and weights were spiritually significant.
  • Names in scripture (e.g., Abraham, YasharEL, David) often have numerical symbolism and prophetic design woven into them.
  • Symbolic numerology and letter-number awareness were certainly present in ancient YasharEL 

🔹 1. Numbers in scripture

Numbers like 3, 7, 12, 40, 70 etc. appear repeatedly with spiritual meaning. For example:

  • 40 days/nights (the rain resulting in the flood, Moses, Yahusha’s fasting)

  • 12 tribes/12 emissaries/24 elders (12 x2) = governance and completeness

  • Shemitah of the land denoted by 7, 7 x 7 + 1

  • 70 nations (Genesis 10) = fullness of the nations

These patterns suggest numerical literacy and theology.

🔹 2. Alphabets, Word & Weights Patterns

Alphabets: Psalms (for example: Psalm 119) use acrostic patterns — every stanza beginning with successive Hebrew letters. This shows a deep reverence for the alphabet itself, which gematria builds upon.

Words: In the study 'The 42 Generations from Abraham to Mashiyach' I touched based upon the gematria value of 14 and how Matthew uses number 14 to show 14 x 3 =42 generations from Abraham to David to Babylonian Captivity to Mashyach.

e.g. David: Dalet (ד ) has gematria value of 4, uau (ו) has gematria value of 6 & Dalet (ד) has gematria value of 4. If you add the gematria value, we get 14 (4 + 6 + 4).

Weights: Exo 16:36  And an omer/עמר H6016 is one-tenth of an ěphah.

Eze 45:10  “Have right scales/מאזן  mazan H3976, and a right ěphah, and a right bath. 
Eze 45:11  “Let the ěphah and the bath be of the same measure/תכן takan H8506 , so that the bath contains one-tenth of a ḥomer/חמר H2563 , and the ěphah one-tenth of a ḥomer/חמר H2563Let their measure/מתכנת matakanth H4971  be according to the ḥomer/חמר H2563

🔹 3. Spiritual Weight: Prophetic Wordplay

Biblical Hebrew is full of plays on words that rely on similar sounds or structures, and some scholars believe numerical value awareness was part of that poetic language.

Example:

 "Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin" (Daniel 5) — plays with measures and values in Hebrew, reflecting a weight/number system. (we will see what this means a bit later).

Daniel Chapters 1 and 8-12 are in Hebrew, while chapters 2-7 are in Aramaic. It is obvious that Daniel wrote the whole book in Hebrew but some portions of it are missing, hence, they were reverse translated into Aramaic. Hence, when we will see  "Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin", we will see it in its Hebrew form and not Aramaic.

🧬 Example: Was Gematria Used in Torah Days?

Though we don't have explicit verses saying "Moses calculated gematria," the structure of Hebrew makes it intrinsic. Consider:

  • Genesis 14: Abraham has 318 trained men by which he rescued his nephew Lot from the kings who took him captive

Gen 14:14  And when Aḇram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his three hundred and eighteen trained servants who were born in his own house, and went in pursuit as far as Dan. 
  • Eliezer (אליעזר), Abraham's servant, when he was Abram and he considered Eliezer as his heir, as Abraham was childless, Eliezer's gematria value = 318.

Gen 15:1  After these events the word of יהוה came to Aḇram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Aḇram. I am your shield, your reward is exceedingly great.” 
Gen 15:2  And Aḇram said, “Master יהוה, what would You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eli‛ezer of Dammeseq?” 
Gen 15:3  And Aḇram said, “See, You have given me no seed, and see, one born in my house is my heir!” 
  • Did Moses encode this intentionally? Possibly — or he was guided by the Ruach to include numbers with prophetic depth.

Eliezer: Aleph (א) = 1, Lamed (ל) = 30, Yod (י) = 10, Ayin (ע) = 70, Zayin (ז) = 7, and Resh (ר) = 200

1 + 30 + 10 + 70 + 7 + 200 = 318

So, if Abram trained his 318 servants, the chief of his servants whom he considered as equal to his heir was Eliezer. So, were these men trained under Eliezer? Quite possible,as Eliezer was over Abram's household as a chief.

Below are the key Hebrew words from the Scriptures, showing their original Hebrew forms, meanings, and contexts — all centered around the theme of measuring, weighing, and balancing, like in Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin.

Pro 16:2  All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes, But יהוה weighs/תכן takan H8505 the spirits. 

תכן (takan) — “weighs” or “balances”
from root כּון‑ (kaph-uau-nun) meaning to set, establish, weigh
Hebrew root for weighing right from the base, akin to kan

Pro 21:2  All a man’s ways are right in his own eyes, But יהוה weighs/תכן takan H8505 the hearts. 

In Ezekiel 28:12, addressing the king of Tyre, the Hebrew reads:

אַתָּה חֹתֵם תָּכְנִית מָלֵא חָכְמָה…
“You are the one sealing up the sum, full of wisdom…”

🔍 1. חתם  (chatham)

Pronounced: ho‑TEM (with vowels)
Root: חתם (ch‑t‑m) — “to seal”
Form: Piel participle — meaning “the one sealing” or “you seal”

🔍 2. תכנית (tokniyth)

Pronounced: takh‑NEET
Root: יכן (y‑k‑n / y‑k‑ḥ‑n) — “to measure, weigh, fashion”
Meaning: “sum,” “pattern,” “measure,” or “completion”

Combined, 

חתם תכנית conveys:

“You are sealing up the culmination, the perfect measure,”
implying the king adorned a measure of his own completion and perfection (carnally).

📚 Related Usages

  • Ezekiel 43:10 – Refers to the “pattern” (תכנית) of the temple’s measurements, using the same root quoting a measured perfection

 Eze 43:10  “Son of man, explain the House to the house of Yisra’ěl, and when they are ashamed of their crookednesses, they shall measure the measurements/tokniyth H8508

Job 31:6  let Him weigh/שקל H8254 sheqel me in a right scale, and let Eloah know my integrity. 

sheqel was a standard unit of measure in ancient times for trading/exchange & is now the trading currency in YasharEL which has a valuation. Ayob is asking Yahuah to use a righteous (tsadik) balance and measure him in sheqel's. The language is poetic but has a valuation in mind.

Psa 90:12  Teach us to number/ מנה manah H4487 our days, And let us bring the heart to wisdom. 

manah H4487 means to count or number. It is the equivalent word used in the Hebrew in Daniel 5:25 'mene (manah) mene (manah) sheqel upharsin', which we will see a bit later.

🏺 III. Ancient Weight System

In ancient Babylonian (and also Hebrew) systems:

  • 1 shekel = base unit of weight 

  • 60 shekels = 1 mina (maneh)

  • 60 minas = 1 talent (kikkar)

So:

  • Mene = mina = 60 shekels

  • Tekel = shekel= 1 unit

  • Peres = half a mina = 30 shekels


🧠IV. The Aramaic form of 'mene mene tekel upharsin'

The writing appeared on the wall during Belshazzar’s feast. Daniel interpreted it prophetically — but the words are all units of currency or weight, which would’ve been instantly recognizable in the Babylonian world but since it was in Hebrew and had a valuation in it, it wasn't recognized by the Babylonians & hence, Daniel was called to interpret it. The writing could have come in the Phoenician alphabets and Daniel was told to shut up the words and seal it. We have evidence of Yahudah coming out of Babylon back into the land with the syriac letter which is the Chaldean letter. Since Daniel 5:25 is in its Aramaic translation, below is what is displayed in it.

Note: "Peres" is singular of "Upharsin" and a pun on "Paras" (Persia).


🔢 Connection to Numbers and Weights

In Babylonian currency:

  • 1 mina (maneh) = 60 shekels . Since, mina is used twice in the verse therefore, 60 x 2 =120

  • 1 tekel (shekel) = base unit 1

  • 1 peres (half-mina) = 30 shekels

 120 + 1 + 30 = 151

In the parables of the kikkars/talents and minah in Matthew 25 & Luke 19 the trading elements were different between the 2 parables, but the spiritual significance and tie up between the 2 parables is the same. 

In ancient YasharEL, the term "kikkar" (ככר) referred to a talent, a unit of weight, not a currency. It was the largest weight measurement used in ancient YasharEL and neighboring regions like Syria and Canaan during the 2nd millennium BC. The talent, or kikkar, was composed of 3,000 shekels. Matthew in his parable mentions kikkar.

Mina was a unit of weight and currency in ancient Babylon. It was a standard unit of weight, particularly in the Near East, including Mesopotamia. The mina was also used as a unit of currency, often in the form of silver or gold ingots.

In Matthew's discourse we see the 3 servants are given kikars/talents as 5,2,1 (total 8) who brought back another 8

Mat 25:15  “And to one he gave five talents, and to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability, and went from home.

In the Luke's discourse we see out of 10 servants who were given a minah each only 3 bring back 10, 5 & 1=16. The remaining 7 were not accounted for, for they were part of the servants who didn't want him to reign over them and were killed. They are an imagery of carnal YasharEL who didn't want Mashyach as King.

Luk 19:13  “And calling ten of his servants, He gave them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Trade until I come.

Luk 19:16  “And the first came, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned ten minas.’

Luk 19:18  “And the second came, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned five minas.’

Luk 19:20  “And another came, saying, ‘Master, here is your mina, which I kept laid up in a head cloth

Luk 19:27  But those enemies of mine who did not wish me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them before me.’ ” 

You add up totally what they brought back was 8+16 = 24 apart from what was given to them. So we total only the fruitfulness.

We see the produce brought back by the worthless servants as their inheritance was taken and given to the faithful ones

Mat 25:28  ‘Therefore take away the talent from him, and give it to him who possesses ten talents.

Luk 19:24  “Then he said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to him who possesses ten minas.’

The fewer remnant from the tribes who transitioned from the flesh to the Ruach in Yahusha spread the basharah/gospel and brought the completeness of all the lost sheep of the tribes in all ages in the kingdom. Example: 12 x 2 = 24 (12 tribes and 12 emissaries of the Lamb) or 24 elders as stated in the book of Revelation (Rev 5:8). The number 12 x 2 stands for all the spiritual number of the elect of Yahuah in both the OT and NT.

Rev 5:8  And when He took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of the set-apart ones. 

Also we see 2 out of 3 were faithful in Matthew’s discourse and 2 out of 10 were faithful in Luke’s discourse as they brought in the lost sheep of the house of Yasharal while the others were dispersed. The number 4 significantly speaks of the elect bringing their brethren from the 4 corners of the earth. Number 4 in scripture denotes 'universal'.

Hence, mina = 60 shekel's & its usage here as mina mina i.e. 60 x 2 = 120 shekels shows a paradox. The physical Babylon comes in likeness of a pattern of YasharEL (120 -also shown as 12 x 10 ) but is lacking the unit i.e. the shekel value.

shekel (שקל) = shin (300) + quph (100) + lamed (30) = 430

YasharEL was 430 in captivity in sojourning (from Abraham to the Exodus). Minah may seem to hold a value of Elohim's people (12 x 10), but is lacking coz they are not walking in the footsteps of Abraham who sojourned as a stranger in the promised land and look towards heavenly Yerushalayim as the promised land.

Hence, upharsin i.e. they are divided in their allotment. They fall into a carnal lot. The valuation shows 1 more than 150 where 150 shows:

150 = 5 (Torah and grace) × 30 (fullness or maturity)

Number 5: 5 Books of the Torah, 5 fingers on the hand, feeding 5000 with 5 loaves (Mark 8:19) are some examples.

Number 30: The entry age for priesthood was 30 years and we see Yahusha the Melchitsedeq priest rising from the tribe of Yahudah which Masha never spoke of. Yahusha was 30 years of age when he began His ministry.

Luk 3:23  And when יהושע Himself began, He was about thirty years of age, being, as reckoned by law, son of Yosěph, of Ěli, 

Heb 7:14  For it is perfectly clear that our Master arose from Yehuḏah, a tribe about which Mosheh never spoke of concerning priesthood, 
Heb 7:15  and this is clearer still, if another priest arises in the likeness of Malkitseḏeq, 
Heb 7:16  who has become, not according to the torah of fleshly command, but according to the power of an endless life, 

Num 4:1  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, and to Aharon, saying, 
Num 4:2  “Take a census of the sons of Qehath from among the children of Lěwi, by their clans, by their fathers’ house, 
Num 4:3  from thirty years old and above, even to fifty years old, all who enter the service to do the work in the Tent of Appointment. 

Yahusha was valued at 30 pieces of silver

Zec 11:12  And I said to them, “If it is good in your eyes, give me my wages. And if not, refrain.” So they weighed/sheqel שקל H8254 out for my wages thirty pieces of silver. 
Zec 11:13  And יהוה said to me, “Throw it to the potter,” the splendid price at which I was valued by them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the House of יהוה for the potter. 

Mat 27:9  Then was filled what was spoken by Yirmeyahu the prophet, saying, “And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of Him who was pierced, on whom they of the children of Yisra’ěl set a price, 
Mat 27:10  and gave them for the potter’s field, as יהוה had ordered me.

Exo 21:32  “If the ox/שור H7794 gores a male or female servant, he is to give to their master thirty sheqels of silver, and the ox/שור H7794 is stoned. 

The word translated a ox is shur שור H7794 and the same word H7788 also means a 'traveler/merchant'. Same word H7789 means 'spy out/lay in wait for evil' 

Hence, we see 2 things in Exo 21:32:

1. 30 shekels of silver was the price of a slave, the price at which Yahusha was valued at

2. shur (שור) -they lied in wait to kill Yahusha as an ox which gores.

And as we see it’s related to the shekel as Yahuah himself was weighed at that price. 

We see upharsin is 30 shekels (half a minah) and these 30 pieces of silver at which Yahusha was valued at was cast by Yahudah Iscariot in the Dwelling Place and the Sanhedrin because it was price of blood money, didn't place it in the temple treasury but purchased a potters field for burying strangers.

The Hebrew word for strangers is 'hagar הגר'

Mat 27:3  Then Yehuḏah – he who delivered Him up – having seen that He had been condemned, repented, returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and to the elders, 
Mat 27:4  saying, “I have sinned in delivering up innocent blood.” And they said, “What is that to us? You see to it!” 
Mat 27:5  And throwing down the pieces of silver in the Dwelling Place he left, and went and hanged himself. 
Mat 27:6  And the chief priests took the silver pieces and said, “It is not right to put them into the treasury, seeing they are the price of blood.” 
Mat 27:7  So they took counsel and bought with them the potter’s field, for the burial of strangers. 

Zech 11:12 uses the word 'shekel' translated as 'weighed'

 The Babylonian currency outwardly showed 60 shekels x 2 =120 (number of Yahuah's elect), 1 unit of shekel-weighed but lacking (word shekel-gematria is 430), 30 shekels -price of a slave-upharsin. i.e. 120 + 1 + 30 = 151. Displays a weight more than 5 x 30 =150 but lacking. This is a standard weight comparison with Yahuah's number pattern in scripture.

Eze 45:12  “And the sheqel is twenty gěrahs. Your mina/מנה H4488 is twenty sheqels, twenty-five sheqels, fifteen shekels. 

 mina= 20 +25 + 15 = 60 shekels

 Ezekiel is told by Yahuah that the Babylonian mina = 60 shekels

📘 Scriptural and Prophetic Reflection

  • In Hebrew, these words are richer in meaning because they relate directly to:

    • מנה (minah)– The act of divine accounting (Psalm 90:12 – “teach us to number our days”)

    • שקל (shekel) – Job 31:6 Ayob is asking Yahuah to use a righteous (tsadik) balance and measure him in shekel's. The language is poetic but has a valuation in mind.

    • פרס (paras) – A split, division — the fast Yahuah chose to be done by YasharEL was to divide the bread with the hungry. Isa 58:7  “Is it not to divide/פרס your bread with the hungry

🔁 Wordplay and Pun Layer

Dan 5:25  “And this is the writing that was inscribed: MENĚ, MENĚ, TEQĚL, UPHARSIN. 
Dan 5:26  “This is the interpretation of each word: MENĚ – Elah has numbered your reign, and put an end to it. 
Dan 5:27  “TEQĚL – You have been weighed on the scales, and found lacking. 
Dan 5:28  “PERES – Your reign has been divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.”

Daniel’s interpretation is brilliant Hebrew & Aramaic punning:

🔥 Why is this a Gematria/Numerical Example?

  • The whole phrase is based on weights and measures, each carrying both literal monetary and spiritual judgment meanings.

  • Ancient scribes would have seen not only wordplay but a numeric value system at work: measured judgment — using known units.

✨ Prophetic Impact

       The message says:

  • Your time is counted (Mene)

  • Your life is weighed and insufficient (sheqel)

  • Your kingdom is split and handed to others (Peres)

And that very night, Babylon fell (Daniel 5:30–31).

Dan 5:30  In that night Bělshatstsar, sovereign of the Kasdim/Babylon, was killed·. 
Dan 5:31  And Dareyawesh the Mede took over the reign, being about sixty-two years old. 

🧠 Daniel’s Prophetic Interpretation:

Daniel doesn't focus only on math. He takes the literal weight units and applies a spiritual judgment metaphor:

“You have been weighed in the balances and found wanting (light in weight).” (Daniel 5:27)

So the key issue is not just the 151 shekels themselves — but that they were supposed to match a standard weight, and did not and we will see this picture in gematria values as falling Short of Spiritual Fullness (Symbolic View)

🔹V. Standard Weight of a Full Kingdom

We saw the number 151 shows a value more than the spiritual number typology used. The number 151 shekels may be also seen numerically insufficient when compared to:

  • A full talent (ככר – kikkar) = 3000 shekels

  • Or even a full mina system (60 + 60 + 60) = 180 shekels

Thus:

  • 151 is short of 180 → Suggests an incomplete rule or failed stewardship

  • 151 is tiny compared to 3000 → Symbolizing that Belshazzar’s kingdom value is minuscule in Elohim's scales

Sheqel (weighed) implies comparison to a divine or righteous standard — and 151 comes up short. 

🔹VI. Spiritual Weight of a Full Kingdom

✨ Picture 1: manah manah sheqel upharsin gematria in Hebrew is 1026. 

Dan 5:1  Bělshatstsar the sovereign made a great feast for a thousand of his great men, and drank wine in the presence of the thousand. 

Dan 5:2  While tasting the wine, Bělshatstsar gave orders to bring the gold and silver vessels which his father Neḇuḵaḏnetstsar had taken from the Hěḵal which had been in Yerushalayim, that the sovereign and his great men, his wives, and his concubines could drink from them. 
Dan 5:3  Then they brought the gold vessels that had been taken from the Hěḵal of the House of Elah which had been in Yerushalayim. And the sovereign and his great men, his wives, and his concubines drank out of them. 
Dan 5:4  They drank wine, and praised the elahin of gold, and of silver, of bronze, of iron, of wood and of stone. 

The idea of Yahuah coming as a seed from Abraham into the womb of Sarah = 1072. Remember in the last video we spoke of the covenant of Brit Milah (covenant of circumcision), where Yahuah changed Abram name to Abraham and Sarai to Sarah and gave him the sign of circumcision which was a distinguishing marker? 

In the first manah (מנה) if I add aleph whose gematria value is 1, then it becomes amanah (אמנה) which means ‘Faithful’. Aleph as a prefix makes the word "I will measure", but it becomes the part of the whole word and not prefix, though it may hold a spiritual concept of a change in now measuring as the aleph has entered to balance the measure. The word now means 'Faithful/Trustworthy' by adding the aleph. Remember the king of Babylon was feasting with his officers in the cups used in Yahuah's temple and the utensil or cups represent symbolically the body of the elect of Yahuah who would come in a body as Yahusha. Also Babel (בבל) has 2 beyt's which show a body ( ב) within a house (ב) leading (ל) which is deception. And Rev 17 & 18 talks about Babel as a spiritual kingdom & Yahusha will eventually destroy Mystery Babylon.

Re-writing with the Aleph (א) in the first manah (מנה) & adding Adam (אדם) changes the whole meaning as aleph (א) is the heavenly man i.e. Yahusha who makes the scale just scales and the measures, right measures. The gematria value now changes to 1027. We then if add 'Adam' to it which has a gematria value of 45, we get 1072.

 אדם (Adam) = א(1) + ד(4) + ם(40) = 45

Daniel 5:25 now would read 'Amanah manah sheqel upharsin Adam (אמנה מנה שקל ופרסין אדם )

אמנה (Faithfulness/Trustworthy or spiritually concept wise "I will measure'')

מנה (Counted/Numbered)

שקל (Weighed)

ופרסין (Divided)

אדם (Adam)

“I will count, weigh, and divide… in Adam.”
✨ The judgment finds its resolution in the Adam(mankind) whose fulfilment is — Yahusha the last Adam 
(1 Corin 15:45).

Gen 5:1  This is the book of the genealogy of Aḏam. In the day that Elohim created man, He made him in the likeness of Elohim. 
Gen 5:2  Male and female He created them, and He blessed them, and called their name ‘Aḏam’ in the day they were created. 
📜 Chiastic Form (Hebrew structure)

🪞 Spiritual Mirror: Aleph as the Heavenly Man

  • Aleph (א) in Amanah is the heavenly, the beginning of the Creator's intervention).

  • Aleph is also the first letter of "El", "Elohim", and "Adam", and signifies:

    • The One who was, is, and is to come

    • The first and the last (Rev. 1:8)

    • The head of the covenant (leader yoked to the house)

So inserting Aleph into Mene is like:

Inserting the divine man, the faithful one, into human history, redeeming what was otherwise destined for judgment.

And inserting Adam as the outcome shows a division of allotment in the last Adam whose type the first Adam was.

🔥 Theological Echo:

This is a clear picture of Isaiah 53, where Yahuah lays on Him the iniquity of us all, and He willingly becomes the Asham—the very priest and the offering.

Isa 53:10  But יהוה was pleased to crush Him, He laid sickness on Him, that when He made Himself an offering for guilt/asham אשם H817, He would see a seed, He would prolong His days and the pleasure of יהוה prosper in His hand. 

This means:

Yahuah Himself, out of love, became the Messiah who came in the order of Melchizedek and offered Himself as a guilt offering for sin as Adam.

✨ Picture 4: The Human Melchitsedeq

Book of Yashar names Shem as Melchitsedeq While the inspired texts don’t but we can understand that Shem lived until Abraham was 150 years and he could be the human Malchitsedeq priest , the king of Salem . 

This is proof from scriptures that Shem lived until Abraham was 150 years old:

Gen 11:10 These are the generations of Shem. Shem was one hundred years old, and fathered Arpachshad two years after the flood; 
Gen 11:11 and Shem lived five hundred years after he fathered Arpachshad, and he fathered sons and daughters.

Shem lived 500 years after the flood. 

Gen 11:12 Arpachshad lived thirty-five years, and fathered Shelah;----35 

(Shem was 100 years old when he fathered Arpachshad and lived 500 years after he fathered Arpachshad

So, when Arpachshad fathered Shelah, here Shem was 135 years old)

Shem was 320 years when Terah was born, hence Shem would have been 525 years when Abraham was 75. 

(320 when Terah was born and 525 when Terah died at 205 i.e. 525-320)

Shem lived 600 years and died i.e. He was 100 years when Arpachshad was born and we saw he was 525 when Abraham was 75, when Terah died at 205. Which means he (Shem) still had 75 years more in his life span.

Gen 12:4 So Abram departed, as Yahuah had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

Abraham was 100 years when Yitshaq was born, so Shem would have been 525 + 25 = 550 years

Gen 21:5  And Aḇraham was one hundred years old when his son Yitsḥaq was born to him. 

Shem lived another 50 years and died at 600, when Abraham was 150 years old.

Melchitsedek priest met Abraham when he was Abram and Yitshaq was not yet born.

Gen 14:17  And after his return from the striking of Keḏorla‛omer and the sovereigns who were with him, the sovereign of Seḏom came out to meet him at the Valley of Shawěh, that is, the Sovereign’s Valley. 
Gen 14:18  And Malkitseḏeq sovereign of Shalěm brought out bread and wine. Now he was the priest of the Most High Ěl.

Human Melchizedek’s priesthood was the doorway to the Son who is the Kahan ha Gadul who gave himself for us. While Melchitsedeq a title for a priesthood through dabar, all the high priests including Shem died falling short of the complete 1000 years yet this priesthood lives forever in Mashiyach in an endless life

Heb 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of Elohim; abideth a priest continually. 

It is no coincidence that his name Sham (Shin (300)  Mem (40)) means ‘breath’ and also means ‘name’ which speaks of ‘breath of vanity’ and is temporal and passing away. Whereas Mashiyach ‘s breath is the RUAH which he will give his people at his appearing and is immortal.

Now based on this equation we see Yahuah (26) + ahab (8) + Messiah (358) + Malchitsedeq (294) + Shem (340) + Adam (45)  = 1071 Which could mean Yahuah in His love anointed the office of Malchitsedeq whom Shem represented as a human falling short.

📜 Biblical Context of משיח:

The term משיח (Mashiach) appears in the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) and is not limited to Yahusha who was to come, during OT times . It refers more broadly to anyone who is anointed for a special divine purpose:

✅ Examples of משיח referring to humans:

  • Priests:

    • Leviticus 4:3 – "If the anointed priest (הכּהן המשיח) sins..."

      • Here, Mashiach clearly refers to a high priest, and the verse acknowledges his capacity to sin.

  • Kings:

    • Saul (1 Samuel 10:1), David (1 Samuel 16:13), and others are also referred to as Yahuah's anointed.

The term משיח or משח includes fallible human figures—priests and kings—who were chosen for a divine role but were not sinless.

🔍 Interpretation: The Appointed Shadow

Whereas the second 1072 equation (Picture 2) pictured Yahuah becoming the Asham offering, this 1071 picture can represent:

Yahuah, in His love, anointed the priestly office of Melchitsedeq, which Shem represented as a man — yet fell short (1071).

Only the Last Adam (Yahusha) could fulfill it perfectly, making the equation complete at 1072

📖 Scriptural and Symbolic Connections:

  • Shem as Melchitsedeq:The Book of Yashar (uninspired text) names Shem as Melchitsedeq, and based on Genesis timelines, Shem would have been the priest from whom Abraham received blessing when he was still Abram.

  • Shem (שם) = Name = the carrier of Yahuah’s character.

  • In Hebrew thought, the name is essence, identity, and authority.
    Shem, whose name means "Name", bore the authority of Yahuah in the earth.

🧭 Theological Meaning of 1071:

1071 represents the delegation of divine authority in love:
Yahuah, out of love (ahab), anointed the office of the righteous priest-king (Melchitsedeq) and appointed Shem, the bearer of “the Name,” as the human shadow of the coming Messiah. The human falls short of Messiah as the human priests & high priests were sinful. There was a need for a High Priest after the order of Melchitsedeq who would be kind, innocent, undefiled, having been separated from sinners and one who lives forever.

Heb 7:26  For it was fitting that we should have such a High Priest – kind, innocent, undefiled, having been separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens, 
Heb 7:27  who does not need, as those high priests, to offer up slaughter offerings day by day, first for His own sins and then for those of the people, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. 
Heb 7:28  For the Torah appoints as high priests men who have weakness, but the word of the oath which came after the Torah, appoints the Son having been perfected forever.

This is a deeply intentional in the numbers—a contrast between a sinful priestly rule and judgment against corrupt kingdom rule who would over power the intent of kingdom of priests. 


➕ Hidden Irony:

  • Shem (שם) means “Name”—the name of Yahuah carried in righteousness.

  • Belshazzar profaned the name by drinking from set apart vessels.

The numbers falling short represents the appointment of Yahuah’s appointed shadow priesthood and also represents the fall of corrupt kingship.

🧩 Deeper Symbolism:

  • In the 1071 in the priesthood picture, the weight (שקל) is insufficient—the Messiah is the fulfillment who alone can make the equation 1072

  • In the Babylonian 1026, the weight is found lacking—mene and sheqel end in upharsin (division).

So 1071 becomes a pivot number:

If in righteousness Shem makes way for Yahusha's breath (as shem also means breath). (We will see this in a bit in Picture 5 below). 

And if aleph (א) is added showing 'Yahuah beginning to count' & Adam (אדם) is added to the 'manah manah sheqel upharsin' equation becomes 'amanah manah sheqel upharsin Adam' and it becomes a Covenant pact equation as Yahusha is the perfect measure. (We already saw this).

🔄 Echo of Isaiah 9:6–7

“And the government shall be upon His shoulders… Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end… upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice…”

That is the counter-government to Babylon—a priest-king in righteousness.

"1071 is the measure: either you bear the Name (שם) in righteousness and live… or you’re weighed (שקל), found lacking, and fall."

✅ The Representation:

1. 1072 (אמנה מנה שקל ופרסין אדם) is a prophetic transformation of the Babylonian decree of doom (1026) into:

A heavenly covenantal declaration that through faithfulness (Amanah), the weight is fulfilled, and the division becomes inheritance—fulfilled in Messiah, the last Adam.

✨ Thus, in אמנה, Aleph represents:

  • Messiah as the faithful witness (Rev 1:5)

  • Yahuah’s unbreakable promise

  • The divine reversal of judgment

This is deeply echoed in Isaiah 28:16:

“Behold, I lay in Zion a foundation stone…
a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation:

he who believes (המאמין – same root as אמנה) shall not be in haste.” 

When Aleph (א) — the heavenly man, the divine head — is inserted into Mene, we no longer just have "you are numbered and judged."
Instead, we receive Amanah (אמנה), which represents:

  • Faithfulness (of Yahuah and His servant),

  • Covenant (berit),

  • Truth (emet),

  • and ultimately, Messiah—who is the faithful witness (Revelation 1:5) in a perfect human representation as last Adam

🔁 Theological Representation

“When Yahuah inserts אמנה (covenant faithfulness) & His intended purpose of fulfillment in Adam (אדם) into the timeline of judgment (אמנה מנה שקל ופרסין אדם), the sentence becomes a promise; the division becomes inheritance; and the weight becomes fulfilled—because the Aleph, the Heavenly Man/Adam, stepped in.

✡️ Deeper Layers:

  • In Isaiah 7:9: "....If you do not stand firm in your faith (אמנה), you will not stand at all."

  •  1Co 15:22  For as all die in Aḏam, so also all shall be made alive in Messiah. 

  • So this transformation is not just numerically elegant—it's prophetically embedded in Scripture.

 2. The Human Melchitsedeq priest foreshadowing Messiah denoted by gematria 1071 becomes completed/fulfilled by Messiah.

"In love (אהב), Yahuah (יהוה) anointed (משח) the office of the priest-king (מלכי־צדק), and gave it to Shem (שם)—the bearer of the Name—until the fullness came in Messiah (משיח) the last Adam (אדם)."

1071 represents the delegation of divine authority in love to make way for completion in Yahusha:
Yahuah, out of love (ahab), anointed the office of the righteous priest-king (Melchitsedeq) and appointed Shem, the bearer of “the Name,” as the human shadow of the coming Messiah in human form. Since, Shem was not sinless, he died and here priests die as all priests who are human are sinful.

👑 “Kingdom of Priests” Promise

Exodus 19:6 — “You shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a set-apart nation.”


Isa 61:6  But you shall be called, ‘Priests of יהוה,’ ‘Servants of our Elohim’ shall be said of you. You shall consume the strength of the nations, and boast in their esteem. 

This was Yahuah’s calling for Yashar’El — a nation both royal and priestly, mediating His presence to the world. But their repeated idolatry would eclipse that calling until restored through Messiah.

Only fulfilled by Mashyach.

1Pe 2:9  But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a set-apart nation, a people for a possession, that you should proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light,

✨ Spiritual and Prophetic Meaning

All find their full embodiment in Yahusha — He is not just a priest like Melchitsedeq — He is the origin and fulfillment of that priesthood.

Heb 7:17  for He does witness, “You are a priest forever according to the order of Malkitseḏeq.

Is Yahuah a priest? Why is Yahusha termed as after the order/dabar of Melchitsedeq?
The understanding is that the Lawgiver is a Priest and the Law receiver is after the order of that Priest.
The Torah came from Yahuah at Mt Sinai with all instructions to be followed to enjoin Yahuah. Hence, Yahuah had to come down on Sinai in a form to deliver the Torah. Exodus 24 records Moses, Aharon and his sons along with 70 elders went up and ate the covenant meal before Yahuah whom Moses describes as the body of heaven in its clearness.
Exo 24:9 And Mosheh went up, also Aharon, Naḏaḇ, and Aḇihu, and seventy of the elders of Yisra’ěl,
Exo 24:10 and they saw the Elohim of Yisra’ěl, and under His feet like a paved work of sapphire stone, and his body like the heavens for brightness.
Exo 24:11 Yet He did not stretch out His hand against the chiefs of the children of Yisra’ěl! And they saw Elohim, and they ate and drank.
Hence, Melchitsedeq was seated on the throne on Sinai as Yahuah. They didn’t know Him as Yahusha yet. Stephen in Acts 7 says the Torah was given by Angel/Messenger in the hand of a mediator. Shaul says the same in Galatians.
Act 7:38 “This is he who was in the assembly in the wilderness with the Messenger who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received the living Words to give to us,

If you notice In Acts 7:38 Stephen says
the Messenger who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received the living Words to give to us.
The Messenger who is Yahuah is singular and the fathers received the living words to give to us and then he says in verse 53
who received the Torah as it was ordained by messengers, but did not watch over
Here the messengers is in plural
Why is this? Remember when Moses went to receive the living words, the people at the base of the mountain sinned by making the golden calf, Yahuah would have consumed them all in his wrath. But Moses pleads with Yahuah for them and he gives them the carnal Torah of sin and death through messengers with His living words concealed in it. He fills in the Levitical priesthood which was interim until the Melchitsedeq priest, after His order comes.
Shaul the emissary confirms here
Gal 3:19 Why, then, the Torah? It was added because of transgressions, until the Seed should come to whom the promise was made. And it was ordained through messengers in the hand of a mediator.
He talks of “why then the Torah? “ Referring to the written Torah of sin and death. He says it was ADDED because of Transgressions until the SEED should come to whom the promises were made.
The Promised SEED is Mashiyach after the order of Melchitsedeq. And this Torah of sin and death was handed to the mediator Moses through messengers who were kept to guard the way to the tree of life (same picture we see in Gen 3:24 and the cherubim’s overshadowing the mercy seat).
Hence, the Torah giver is Yahuah who is Yahusha in the body of heaven in its clearness and the receiver is Yahusha in the body of likeness of sinful flesh , after the order of Melchitsedeq, the true Yahuah Tsedkenu ( Yahuah our Righteousness) revealed.
For Aharon:
Exo 28:33 “And on its hem/shul you shall make pomegranates of blue and purple and scarlet material, all around its hem, and bells of gold between them all around:
Exo 28:34 a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, on the hem/shul of the robe all around.
Exo 28:35 “And it shall be upon Aharon to attend in, and its sound shall be heard when he goes into the set-apart place before יהוה and when he comes out, so that he does not die.
Yahuah: Isa 6:1 In the year that Sovereign Uzziyahu died, I saw יהוה sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the hem /shul of His robe filled the Hěḵal.
Now the Torah giver knew that the Torah receivers wouldn’t be able to keep the Living words which were concealed within the Torah of sin and death (Ruach in the letter), hence, He after the order of Melchitsedeq fulfilled every oracle written in it in the lower bodily form ie. In a body of likenesses of sinful flesh and transitions everyone who believes in Him into His Melchitsedeq priesthood. Since the Torah giver and receiver are the same ie. A Priest forever and the just requirement’s met as per His Righteousness, the purpose which was established is met 💯 % .
The word for order is dabar(דבר ) and we know Yahuchanan in John 1:1 introduces Aluahym as Dabar and says the Dabar is Elohim.
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word/Dabar, and the Word/Dabar was with Elohim, and the Word/Dabar was Elohim.
Joh 1:2 He was in the beginning with Elohim.
In his letter in John 1:1 he says Dabar of life whom we have seen, heard, touched and that is Yahusha ha Mashiyach.
1Jn 1:1 Alaph Tau who was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word/Dabar of life:

The mem is the letter in Hebrew which denotes water and blood which are elements of the womb and forming the assembly of the fisrstborn in the wilderness . The Blood of the covenant of the Son through the Door.
Melek vs Malak:
Melek: king spelled as מלך H4428 has the word lak לך which means guide/ message/ path shower
Malak: Messenger מלאך has root word laak לאך which means One who walks for another.
The picture is of King Yahuah gives the Message and shows the path and the same Yahuah as the Messenger walks that path and obeys the Message.
