Certificate of Divorce

 Certificate of Divorce :

Jer 3:8  “And I saw that for all the causes for which backsliding Yisra’ěl had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a certificate of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Yehuḏah did not fear, but went and committed whoring too.

Certificate or bill:

Sapar is a document or record or scroll. It’s also a scribe who records or a census where number of people are recorded according to the tribes

Sap is the lip and par is the bull

It’s a decree from the mouth recorded and a document of evidence.

Divorce:

Karyathuth כריתות has the root word karath כרת which is cutting into half as a sacrificial animal is cut into half.

Want to bring to your attention the cutting out :

Adam was put to deep sleep and his side cut out and the woman was made from his other side and the flesh closed up and he called her flesh of my flesh and bone of my bones.

Abraham was asked to cut sacrificial animals into two and the smoking furnace and the burning lamp passed through those pieces (Gen 15:17).

This separation was an enjoining in a covenant

Both Adam and Abraham were put in a deep sleep (tardamah תרדמה) H8639 when the cut out covenant was made

Tardamah has the root words tar תר which means border, dam דם means blood , damah דמה means likeness .

This all ties up to the place of the Summit which was outside the camp or border where the Atonement was done to establish the covenant which is eternal but it’s just that our eyes need to see how it is embedded in the word pictures.

Kar כר is to dig as to cut out yath ית is like the Alaph tau את and it’s an extension of the hand/yod יד nailed to the stake/tau ת

Uau ו is the nail which enjoins

Tau ת is the stake or mark

In karyathuth we see the cut out karath כרת to enjoin to another covenant (ת) by the hands nailed to the stake ית

The purpose stated by Yahuah is so clear that He cuts out the woman from the physical man’s side and she goes whoring. So in order to reinstate her to Himself eternally He by His lips סף made a decree who the par ףר bull would be. And recorded it as a document and sent the woman out.

He came as a fulfilment of the type in which Adam stood as

Rom 5:14  But death reigned from Aḏam until Mosheh, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Aḏam, who is a type of Him who was to come.

Notice the words Adam who is a type of Him who was to come.

Yahusha was put to a deep sleep תרדמה tardamah where the transition took place to the new order which was planned in Him as the woman would be remarried to the one who raised from the dead (Romans 7)

Eph 5:30  Because we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.

Eph 5:31  “For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” Gen 2:24.

Eph 5:32  This secret is great, but I speak concerning Messiah and the assembly.

Cut out shows a separation but the eternal purpose is to enjoin Him to be inseparable in the new creation order.

If any man is in Mashiyach, he is a new creation, old things are passed away and behold all things have become new.

New Yerushalayim is the bride adorned for her husband. New covenant is an established promise fulfilled which the old couldn’t. Old things are passed away reiterates that the Old Covenant had the promises which the fathers saw afar off and were justified by favor. The New covenant in the New man made out of Yahudi and Gentile is established on the promises of a transformation into the image and likeness of Yahusha who is the embodiment of Torah of life. New heavens, new earth, new man, new covenant, New Yerushalayim, New creation are all typological related to the body of Mashiyach where we transition to. Divorce law was only meant for Him. Man had and has no right to put away His own flesh with a certificate of divorce. Only Yahuah could do it and He did it to establish His promise to marry His same wife in a new way which is now revealed to us in the person of Yahusha.
