The Two Bronze Pillars

2Ch 3:15 And at the front of the House he made two columns thirty-five cubits high, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits/ammah H520.
2Ch 3:16 And he made wreaths of chainwork, as in the Speaking Place, and put them on top of the columns. And he made one hundred pomegranates, and put them on the wreaths of chainwork.
2Ch 3:17 And he set up the columns before the Hĕḵal, one on the right and the other on the left, and called the name of the one on the right Yaḵin, and the name of the one on the left Boʽaz.

1Ki 7:15 And he cast two columns of bronze, each one eighteen cubits high, and a line of twelve cubits measured the circumference of each.
1Ki 7:16 And he made two capitals of cast bronze, to put on the tops of the columns – the height of one capital was five cubits, and the height of the other capital was five cubits –
1Ki 7:17 a lattice network, with wreaths of chainwork, for the capitals which were on top of the columns, seven chains for one capital and seven for the other capital.
1Ki 7:18 And he made the columns, and two rows of pomegranates above the network all around to cover the capitals that were on top, and so he did for the other capital.
1Ki 7:19 And the capitals that were on top of the columns in the hall were in the shape of lilies, four cubits.
1Ki 7:20 And there were capitals above also on the two columns, by the bulge which was next to the network. And the pomegranates were two hundred, in rows on each of the capitals all around.
1Ki 7:21 And he set up the columns by the porch of the hĕḵal. And he set up the column on the right and called its name Yaḵin, and he set up the column on the left and called its name Boʽaz.
1Ki 7:22 And on the top of the columns was lily work. Thus the work of the columns was completed.

2Ki 25:17 The height of one column was eighteen cubits, and the capital on it was of bronze. And the height of the capital was three cubits, and the network and pomegranates all around the capital were all of bronze. And the second column was the same, with a network.

Jer 52:21 As for the columns, the height of one column was eighteen cubits, and its circumference was twelve cubits, and its thickness was four fingers, hollow.
Jer 52:22 And a capital of bronze was on it. And the height of one capital was five cubits, with a network and pomegranates all around the capital, all of bronze. And the second column, with pomegranates was the same.
Jer 52:23 And there were ninety-six pomegranates on the sides. All the pomegranates on the network were one hundred, all around

Shelemoh made two bronze pillars in front of the Set Apart Place and named one pillar Yakin and the other Boaz. Before we see the significance of the pillars let us see the significance of the numbers in measurements mentioned. A detailed account in 1 Kings 7 mentions other things not mentioned in the 2 Chronicles texts, also YarmeYahu mentions the description of the two bronze pillars when the Chaldees took it with them. 2 Kings 25 also mentions the measurements of the pillars. Before we look at the significance of the two pillars we must clarify the misunderstanding some have who state that scriptures have contradictions in them. When you compare the stated texts at first glance they all seem to contradict in some portions but a closer look will show that there is no contradiction.

2 Chr 3:15 states the height of the pillars to be 35 cubits, but the other 3 scriptures in Kings and YarmeYahu says 18 cubits. It is evident that 2 Chronicles 3:15 measures the pillar from the base of it until the lilly (35 cubits) while the others only measure from the visible portion till the capital (18 cubits)

2 Kings 25:17 says the height of the capital on the pillars were 3 cubits but the other portions of scriptures state 5 cubits and that's because 2 Chronicles 4:12-13 tells us of the two networks covering the two bowl shaped capitals were the 400 pomegranates. The capital was of 3 cubits and the 2 additional cubits space taken by the network of pomegranates. Kindly focus on the image below on the 5 cubits capital with the woven work of network with pomegranates in it.

2Ch 4:12 the two columns and the bowl-shaped capitals that were on top of the two columns, and the two networks to cover the two bowl-shaped capitals which were on top of the columns;
2Ch 4:13 and four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowl-shaped capitals that were on the columns.

Its just that in 2 Chr 3 the writer mentions the measurement of the pillar from the base until the lilly work (35 cubits) while the other 3 mention the measurement of the pillar without the base until the capital (18 cubits), also in 2 Kings 25:17 the writer mentions the measurement without the network with pomegranates in them which take up the additional space of 2 cubits on each capital on each column while the other 3 take the measurement of the network of pomegranates along with the capital. Hence, there is no contradiction here, its just that the carnal mind cannot grasp this harmonious reconciliations.

1Kings 7:15 & YarmeYahu 52:21 gives us additional information stating the circumference of the pillars to be 12 cubits and YarmeYahu gives us additional information that its thickness was 4 toe or normal fingers/etsba H676 hollow

Now that we have determined the overview of the measurements of the pillars and the capital's let's now move on to the spiritual significance of these bronze pillars, we will visit the other measurement numbers in its spiritual significance as well.

The 4 etsba gives us a clue that it relates to the feet. Now let's read this

Rev 1:15 and His feet like burnished brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters.

Yes, Yahuchanan saw the feet of Yahusha Ha Mashiyach as burnished bronze refined in a furnace.

Yahuchanan further describes the Messenger in an imagery whose feet were like columns of fire and his right foot was on the sea and the left foot on the land. Now, here we can understand that the 4 etsba/fingers indicate that Yahusha the image and likeness the invisible Aluahym is reaching out with his covenant to scattered Yasharal in the four corners of the earth. He lifted up his right hand and swore by HIM who lives forever and ever that there will be no further delay.

Rev 10:1 And I saw another strong messenger coming down from the heaven, robed in a cloud, and a rainbow on his head, and his face was like the sun, and his feet like columns of fire,
Rev 10:2 and having in his hand a little book opened. And he placed his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,

Rev 10:5 And the messenger whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to the heaven,
Rev 10:6 and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created the heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that there shall be no further delay,

The circumference of the pillars were 12 cubits each hence 12 x 2 =24. 12 is a number of the people of Yahuah. 12 tribes, 12 emissaries of the Lamb, 24 elders all show that the feet of Yahusha will reach out to the 12 tribes to gather them back to Himself.

Isa 52:6 “Therefore My people shall know My Name, in that day, for I am the One who is speaking. See, it is I.”
Isa 52:7 How pleasant upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings good news, who proclaims deliverance, who says to Tsiyon, “Your Elohim reigns!”

Nah 1:15 See, on the mountains the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace! O Yehuḏah, observe your festivals, perform your vows. For Beliyaʽal shall no more pass through you. He has been cut off completely.

Zec 14:3 And יהוה shall go forth, and He shall fight against those gentiles, as He fights in the day of battle.
Zec 14:4 And in that day His feet shall stand upon the Mount of Olives, which faces Yerushalayim on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west, a very great valley, and half of the mountain shall move toward the north and half of it toward the south.

The above picture is a view from within the Set Apart place towards the east gate where Mount of Olives is.

Yachin H3199 means 'He will establish'
Boaz H1162 means 'Ba/In az/strength'

The worshiper standing outside would read it symbolically (although no engraving was there on the pillar) from right to left as the Hebrew language reads from right to left. He/She would read 'In Strength He will establish'

The two pillars is from where the kohenim would enter into the Set Apart place where the shew bread table, the lampstands and the incense altar was, also behind the veil in this section was the Ark of the covenant with the kerubs overshadowing the mercy seat.

Rev 3:12 “He who overcomes, I shall make him a pillar/amud in the Dwelling Place of My Elohim, and he shall by no means go out. And I shall write on him the Name of My Elohim and the name of the city of My Elohim, the renewed Yerushalayim, which comes down out of the heaven from My Elohim, and My renewed Name.

To the assembly at Philadelphia which was faithful Yahusha promises To Him who overcomes He will make him a pillar in the Dwelling Place of His Aluahym and by no means shall he go out. Its a promise to come near to Yahuah in the firmness of the feet of Yahusha the kahan ha gadul (high priest) and in whom we are the royal priesthood, to be established bearing His name, the One name.

Yachin was one of the sons of Shimeon and there is nothing mentioned in scripture about him. But we read about Shimeon as follows

Gen 49:5 “Shimʽon and Lĕwi are brothers, their weapons are implements of violence.
Gen 49:6 “Let my being not enter their council, let my esteem not be united to their assembly; because they slew a man in their displeasure, and they lamed an ox in pleasure.
Gen 49:7 “Cursed be their displeasure for it is fierce, and their wrath for it is cruel! I divide them in Yaʽaqoḇ and scatter them in Yisra’ĕl.

We know that Levi's sons were not given an inheritance as their portion was in refuge cities and their portions came to them from the offerings. But what about Shimeon?

Jos 19:1 And the second lot came out for Shimʽon, for the tribe of the children of Shimʽon for their clans. And their inheritance was within the inheritance of the children of Yehuḏah.

Shimeon was the second son of Yaaqob whose sons found inheritance in Yahudah. We don't know the acts of one of his sons Yachin for which Shelemoh named one of the pillars by his name but we have ZecharYah's prophesy that those mourning for Him who was pierced were the house of Daud, house of Nathan, house of Levi and house of Shimeon (as stated in LXX)

Zec 12:11 “In that day the mourning in Yerushalayim is going to be great, like the mourning at Haḏaḏ Rimmon in the valley of Meḡiddo.
Zec 12:12 “And the land shall mourn, every clan by itself: the clan of the house of Dawiḏ by itself, and their women by themselves; the clan of the house of Nathan by itself, and their women by themselves;
Zec 12:13 the clan of the house of Lĕwi by itself, and their women by themselves; the clan of Shimʽi/Shimeon (LXX) by itself, and their women by themselves;
Zec 12:14 all the rest of the clans, every clan by itself, and their women by themselves.

While we know that Nathan from the house of Yahudah was part of the genealogy to Mashiyach, Shimeon no where fits in into the genealogy, so it is understood by Yaaqob's prophecy about Shimeon and Lewi's cruel anger which brought him trouble in the land of Kanaan, they both would be divided and scattered in Yasharal.

Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there takes place a change of law

Yahusha brought forth the Malchitsedeq priesthood to light by abolishing the carnal priesthood and making us kings and priests who believe in Him, hence the Levitical priesthood was temporary.

Speaking about the ZacharYah 12 prophesy He was closely related to the Levitical priesthood as His mother was a close relative of Elisheba of the daughters of Aharon the Lewite

Luk 1:5 There was in the days of Herodes, the sovereign of Yehuḏah, a certain priest named Zeḵaryah, of the division of Aḇiyah. And his wife was of the daughters of Aharon, and her name was Elisheḇa.

Luk 1:35 And the messenger answering, said to her, “The Set-apart Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow you. And for that reason the Set-apart One born of you shall be called: Son of Elohim.

Luk 1:36 “And see, Elisheḇa your relative, she has also conceived a son in her old age. And this is now the sixth month to her who was called barren

While Yahusha's mother was a Levite and the name of Levi mentioned in ZacharYah 12, and so is Nathan but Shimeon is no where listed in Mashiyach genealogy. Hence, the ZacharYah prophecy is not related to just a genealogy but the suffering of Mashiyach as the prophecy says 'They shall look upon Me whom they have pierced'

When did Shimeon pierce Yahusha?

Gen 37:18 When they saw him from a distance and before he came close to them, they plotted against him, to kill him
Gen 37:19 They said to one another, Here comes this dreamer!
Gen 37:20 Now then, come and let us kill him and throw him into one of the pits; and we shall say, An evil beast devoured him. Then let us see what shall become of his dreams!
Gen 37:21 But Reuben heard and rescued him out of their hands and said, Let us not take his life.
Gen 37:22 Reuben said to them, Shed no blood. Throw him into this pit that is in the wilderness, but do not lay hands on him - that he might rescue him out of their hands, to restore him to his father
Gen 37:25 Then they sat down to eat a meal. And as they raised their eyes and looked, behold, a caravan of Ishmaelites was coming from Gilead, with their camels bearing aromatic gum and balm and myrrh, going to take them down to Mitsrayim.
Gen 37:26 Yahudah said to his brothers, What gain, that we kill our brother and cover up his blood?

Reuben the eldest said Let us not kill him but throw him into the pit
Yahudah said What is the profit in killing him? Let's sell him after all he is family.
Here we have no comments made by Leah's son number 2 Shimeon and son number 3 Levi. Hence one of them, most probably Shimeon was the one who said ''Now then, come let us kill him and and throw him into one of the pits.

We have scripture recording Yahusaph (Joseph) binding Shimeon before the eyes of their brothers as a guarantor until they brought Banyaman to him. Why did he choose only Shimeon? Isn't it evident that Shimeon was cruel to him as prophesied about him

Gen 42:21 Then they said to one another, Truly we are guilty concerning our brother, because we saw the distress of his soul when he pleaded with us, yet we would not listen; therefore this distress has come upon us.
Gen 42:22 Reuben answered them, saying, Did I not tell you, saying, Do not sin against the boy; and you would not listen? Therefore, behold, also his blood is required.
Gen 42:23 They did not know that Yoseph understood, for there was an interpreter between them.
Gen 42:24 He turned away from them and wept. But when he returned to them and spoke to them, he took Shimeon from them and bound him before their eyes

The above image is of the 12 sons of Yaaqob through his wives Leah and Rachel and his concubines. We all know that Rueben had lost the birth right of the first born because he defiled his fathers bed, and it was actually Yahusaph's, that is why he told the dream he saw to his brothers of the sun, moon and 11 stars bowing down to him. Because of this his brothers hated him. It would have been evident that Shimeon being son number 2 of Leah was the next contender for the birthright and he didn't want it to go to his step brother Yahusaph

1Chr 5:1 Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Yisra’El (for he was the firstborn, but because he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given to the sons of Yoseph the son of Yisra’El; and the genealogy is not to be counted according to the birthright.
1Chr 5:2 For Yahudah prevailed over his brothers, and from him came the chief ruler, but the birthright was to Yoseph),
Example of the hierarchy in birthright blessing:

Levi had 3 sons Gershom, Kohath and Merrari. The Aharonic priesthood came down from Kohath. Aharon had 4 sons Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar. When Nadab and Abhihu offered strange fire before Yahuah they were killed, since they were evil men they were rejected by Yahuah before he killed them and they were replaced by Eleazar. Phineas the son of Eleazar was next in line and when he killed the man and the Midianite woman, he stopped the plague on Yasharal and he was inherited into the priesthood by Yahuah. Its interesting to see that the man he killed was a leader from the tribe of Shimeon named Zimri, thus the two brothers who were one in cruelty were divided.

Num 25:6 Then behold, one of the sons of Yisra’El came and brought to his brothers a Midianite woman, in the sight of Mosheh and in the sight of all the congregation of the sons of Yisra’El, while they were weeping at the doorway of the tent of appointment
Num 25:7 When Phinechas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aharon the priest, saw it, he arose from the midst of the congregation and took a spear in his hand
Num 25:8 and he went after the man of Yisrael into the tent and pierced both of them through, the man of Yisra’El and the woman, through the body. So the plague on the sons of Yisra’El was checked.
Num 25:9 Those who died by the plague were twenty-four thousand
Num 25:10 Then Yahuah spoke to Mosheh, saying,
Num 25:11 Phinechas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aharon the priest, has turned away My wrath from the sons of Yisra’El while he was zealous with My jealousy among them, so that I did not destroy the sons of Yisra’El in My jealousy.
Num 25:12 Therefore say, Behold, I give him My covenant of peace;
Num 25:13 and it shall be for him and his descendants after him, a covenant of a perpetual priesthood, because he was jealous for his El and made atonement for the sons of Yisra’El.
Num 25:14 Now the name of the slain man of Yisra’El who was slain with the Midianite woman, was Zimri the son of Salu, a leader of a father’s house among the Shimeonites.

Similarly, when we see that when Reuben was disqualified of his birthright it is evident that Shimeon wanted the blessing of the firstborn being the 2nd son of Leah but it was given to Yahusaph his step brother which would have increased his hatred towards his brother wanting to kill him but was saved from his wrath. Yahuah who chooses everything according to His will and purpose placed Yahudah the 4th son of Leah and Yaaqob over all his brethren and from there would come the chief ruler, although the birthright was of Yahusaph. Yahuah jumped Shimeon (2nd) and Levi (3rd) to Yahudah (4th) after he rejected Reuben to have the Messianic lineage blessing.

In Deut 33 Masha when blessing the tribes of Yasharal, Masha says of Reuben that let him live and not die, this was in reference to the grievous sin of laying down with his father's concubine and actually a sparing of his life and his descendants.

Deut 33:6 May Reuben live and not die, nor his men be few.

From here the blessing jumps straight to Yahudah, where it speaks of Mashiyach who would be brought to his people and was the one who became great with his hands being impaled on the tree, helping Yahudah's enemies.

Deut 33:7 And this regarding Yahudah; so he said, Hear, O Yahuah the voice of Yahudah, and bring him to his people. With his hands he became great, and may You be a help against his adversaries.

Shimeon is completely missing in the blessing, the first glance shows wrath but we know that Shimeon got his inheritance in Yahudah, for he too was among the house of David weeping for the one whom he pierced.

Jos 19:1 Then the second lot fell to Shimeon, to the tribe of the sons of Shimeon according to their families, and their inheritance was in the midst of the inheritance of the sons of Yahudah.

In Gen 49:5-7 we see:

All of Yaaqob’s sons are brothers, but he calls Shimeon and Levi “brothers” explicitly since the sword binds them together in ways they are not bound to their other brothers (49:5) and the sword of Phineas would divide them (Levi from Shimeon) and scatter them in Yasharal.

In the blessings which will befall them in the last days Yaaqob repeats one statement in a different way and actually is essentially saying the same thing. Its a juxtapose where the same thing said is placed side by side to show a contrast or compare them.

weapons of violence are their words, swords
my soul, my glory
come not into, be not joined
their council, their company
in their anger, in their willfulness
they killed men, they hamstrung oxen
their anger, their wrath
it is fierce, it is cruel
divide, scatter
Jacob, Israel

Their cruelty is defined 10 times as juxtapose where number 10 in scripture speaks of completeness and this completeness is in dividing them from each other

Coming back to the ZacharYah prophecy, Shimeon fits perfectly into it for he repented of the cruelty he showed to his brother Yahusaph who had the birthright of Mashiyach. What he and his brothers did to Yahusaph was unto Mashiyach and hence, they look upon Him whom they pierced and mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son.

Gen 42:21 Then they said to one another, Truly we are guilty concerning our brother, because we saw the distress of his soul when he pleaded with us, yet we would not listen; therefore this distress has come upon us.

The effects they bore because of their cruelty:

Shimeon's inheritance: His inheritance was in Yahudah, the 4th son of Leah. Shimeon was absorbed into Yahudah. Would this be the reason why Shelemoh named the pillar on the right as Yachin Shimeon's 4th son which means He will establish? 4th son of Shimeon vs 4th son of Leah i.e. Yahudah

Joshua 19:1-9

Levi's inheritance: 48 cities with their pasture lands were given to the entire tribe of Levi in the land of Yasharal and Yahudah which is far less an inheritance

The Plague effect:

Coming back to Numbers 25 where Phineas killed Zimri the Shimeonite and the Midianite woman by thrusting them through and the plague stopped.

Num 25:8 and he went after the man of Yisrael into the tent and pierced both of them through, the man of Yisra’El and the woman, through the body. So the plague on the sons of Yisra’El was checked.

In Numbers Chp 1 and Chp 26 Yahuah asks to take a census of all tribes (except Levi) from 20 years and above, all those able to go to war. Numbers 1 census was before the plague and Numbers 26 census after the plague and the tribe affected the most was Shimeon. From 59,300 before the plague, they lowered down to 22,200 after the plague i.e. 62.5% variance in decreased numbers. Only tribe of Levi wasn't numbered with them
Num 1:47 The Lewiim were not numbered among them by their fathers’ tribe.
Num 1:48 For Yahuah had spoken to Mosheh, saying,
Num 1:49 Only the tribe of Lewi you shall not number, nor shall you take their census in midst of the sons of Yisrael
Num 1:50 But you shall appoint the Lewiim over the tabernacle of the testimony, and over all its furnishings and over all that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings, and they shall take care of it; they shall encamp around the tabernacle.
Num 1:51 So when the tabernacle goes forward, the Lewiim shall take it down; and when the tabernacle encamps, the Lewiim shall set it up. But the layman who comes near shall be put to death.
So, Shimeon was indeed judged twice for his cruelty, the first time being bound by Yahusaph until his brothers went to the land of Canaan and came back with Banyaman and once in this plague.
In all this yet he finds rakham/compassion with Yahuah that when he realizes what he has done he mourns and turns to Yahusha with all his heart. Hence, the view from Yahuah's throne from within the temple towards the eastern gate i.e. towards Mount of Olives had Yachin the pillar on the right. The one who was established in favor
The meaning of Shimeon and the meaning of the names of the sons of Shimeon:
Gen 46:10 The sons of Shimeon: Yemu’El and Yamin and Ohad and Yakin and Tsochar and Shaul the son of a Kanaanite woman.
Shimeon H8095 means he has heard
YemuEl H3223 means Day of EL
Yamin H3226 means right hand
Ohad H161 means United/One
Yachin H3199 means He will establish
Tsochar H6714 From the same as H6713; whiteness. or from a root word meaning 'dazzle'
Shaul H7586 means desired, from root word 'to enquire'
See the sequence of the names put together 'He has heard in the Day of El by his right hand he will make one and establish his dazzle which is desired/enquired'
The left pillar was Boaz which means 'In strength'. Boaz was the kinsman redeemer (goel) who redeemed Ruth the Ephrathite who formerly was a Reubenitess and she had married Machlon the Eprathite and he had died leaving her childless. Scripture often depicts her as Moabitess but she was by geographical location in the land which was taken over by Yasharal from Sihon king of the Amorites and Masha had resettled tribe of Reuben in it who built Heshbon
Num 21:25-26 And Yisra’ĕl took all these cities, and Yisra’ĕl dwelt in all the cities of the Amorites – in Ḥeshbon and in all its villages,
26 for Ḥeshbon was the city of Siḥon the sovereign of the Amorites, who had fought against the former sovereign of Mo’aḇ, and had taken all his land from his hand as far as the Arnon.
Num 32:37 And the children of Re’uḇĕn built Ḥeshbon and Elʽalĕh and Qiryathayim,
After Ruth was redeemed by Boaz, their offspring son Obed was a son according to Torah to keep the same of Machlon the Ephrathite alive in Yasharal and hence it is said of Yishai the father of David as follows
1 Sam 17:12 Now Dawiḏ was the son of that Ephrathite of Bĕyth Leḥem in Yehuḏah, whose name was Yishai, and he had eight sons, and in the days of Sha’ul the man was old among men.
Hence, David was both an Ephrathite standing with the promise of the chief ruler Mashiach coming from his lineage as well as off spring of Yahusaph to whom was given the firstborn barakath/blessing. Mashiyach is our kinsman redeemer/goel and hence stands as our kinsman redeemer at our right hand in strength/Boaz, in the outer to inner view of the Set Apart place and from the inner view to the outer view towards the eastern gate stands as Yachin/He will establish the hearing of the Torah of life in an analogy which we saw in Shimeon who seemed to be cut off was being established in Yahudah.
Shelomoh made above the capitals 4 cubits of lillies
1Ki 7:19 And the capitals that were on top of the columns in the hall were in the shape of lilies/shushanim H7799, four cubits.
We already saw that Yahuchanan saw the feet of Yahusha ha Mashiyach as burnished bronze (Rev 1:15), in many other visions as the four living creatures who had the likeness of a man whose feet were like burnished bronze and appearance of the feet as the sole of a calves foot is an imagery for Mashiyach who would be purified in the fire of affliction by the sacrifice of Himself, hence, calves feet (as calves were part of OT burnt offerings)
They had four faces (man, lion, which shows the basarah going to the four corners of the earth. The work of the lilies above the captial was of 4 cubits also shows the Shepherd among the lilies feeding his flock
Eze 1: 5 and out of the midst of it came what looked like four living creatures. And this was their appearance: they had the likeness of a man.
6 And each one had four faces, and each one had four wings.
7 And their feet were straight feet, and the soles of their feet were like the sole of a calves’ foot. And they sparkled like the appearance of polished bronze,
8 and under their wings on their four sides were the hands of a man. And each of the four had faces and wings –
9 their wings touched one another. They did not turn when they went, but each one went straight forward.
10 And the likeness of their faces: the face of a man, and each of the four had the face of a lion on the right side, and each of the four had the face of an ox on the left side, and each of the four had the face of an eagle.
When we understand that on the capital of the pillars there were work of lilies 4 cubit in height which has a spiritual significance of Yahusha ha Mashiyach the Great Shepherd feeding his flock among the lilies. Where the number 4 shows the sheep of Yasharal being scattered to the 4 corners of the earth.
Son of Sol 6:1 “Where has your beloved gone, O beautiful among women? Where has your beloved turned aside? Let us seek him with you.”
2 My beloved went down to his garden, To the beds of spices, To feed his flock in the gardens, And to gather lilies/shushanim H7799.
3 I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine. He feeds his flock among the lilies.
In Song of Shelemoh we the beautiful picture when the Shulamite is asked where her beloved is gone, she says he has gone down to his garden and is feeding his flock among the lilies. Its a beautiful picture as we see in scripture Yahusha's feet are portrayed as burnished bronze/refined by fire. The prophets also saw in visions the Messenger of Yahuah with hands and legs as polished/burnished bronze.
Dan 10:5 then I lifted my eyes and looked and saw a certain man dressed in linen, whose loins were girded with gold of Uphaz!
6 And his body was like beryl, and his face like the appearance of lightning, and his eyes like torches of fire, and his arms and feet like polished bronze in appearance, and the sound of his words like the sound of a crowd.
Speaking of the lilies in the parable Yahusha that they neither toil nor spin and yet Shelemoh in all his esteem was not dressed like one of these. Yahusha was referring to the passages in Song of Shelemoh where he had gone down to the garden to feed his flock among the lilies and to gather the lilies and his Beloved had said of him that he feeds among the lilies
Luke 12:27 “Look at the lilies, how they grow. They neither toil nor spin, and I say to you, even Shelomoh in all his esteem was not dressed like one of these.
28 “And if Elohim so clothes the grass, which today exists in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more you, O you of little belief?
The context of Matthew 6 and Luke 12 passages is of not worrying what I will eat, what I will wear as the pagan gentiles do but to seek first the kingdom of Aluahym and his righteousness and all these things will be added unto you. Shelemoh who fed the flock among the lilies was a type of Yahusha ha Mashiyach feeding his flock and hence he compared Shelemoh to the lilies that in all his esteem he was not dressed like one of these. Just the few verses above he had told them to look a greater than Shelemoh is here, referring to Himself.
Luke 11: 31 “The sovereigness of the South shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation and shall condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Shelomoh, and look, a greater than Shelomoh is here.
The sea of cast metal where the priests washed the sacrifices and themselves also had the lily work in it. There were 3 oxen each (total 12) facing in all 4 directions again showing a cleansing in Mashiyach, where the number 12 stands for the 12 tribes of Yasharal.
1Kings 7:23 And he made the Sea of cast metal, ten cubits from one rim to the other, round all about, and five cubits high, and a line of thirty cubits measured around it.
24 And below its rim were ornaments all around, ten to a cubit, all the way around the Sea. The ornaments were cast in two rows when it was cast.
25 It stood on twelve oxen, three facing north, and three facing west, and three facing south, and three facing east. And the Sea was set upon them, and all their back parts were inward.
26 And it was a handbreadth thick, and its rim was shaped like the rim of a cup, like a lily blossom. It held/kul H3557 two thousand baths.
2Chr 4:2 And he made the Sea of cast metal, ten cubits from one rim to the other, round all about. And its height was five cubits, and a line of thirty cubits measured around it.
3 And figures like oxen were under it, all around it, ten to a cubit, all the way around the Sea. Two rows of oxen were cast when it was cast.
4 It stood on twelve oxen, three facing north, and three facing west, and three facing south, and three facing east. And the Sea was set upon them, and all their back parts were inward.
5 And it was a handbreadth thick, and its rim was shaped like the rim of a cup, like a lily blossom. It received/chazaq H2388 and held/kul H3557 three thousand baths.
The 2 scriptures 1Kings 7 and 2 Chr 4 at first glance shows a contradiction, however a closer look shows that in 2 Chr 4:5 there is an additional word chazaq H2388 which means to make strong, prevail or be firm. 1 Kings 7 records the sea of cast metal held 2,000 baths of water and 2 Chr 4:5 records its strength to hold 3,000 baths of water. There is no contradiction in scripture. The below is an illustration of how the Molten sea would look

The OT shadows pointed to Mashiyach and his basarah/good news going to the four corners of the world. The rim at the bottom was shaped like the rim of a cup, like a lily blossom. The Ruach heykal/temple is Mashiyach.
Coming back to the 2 pillar's
1 Kings 7:16 And he made two capitals/H3805 katharath of cast bronze, to put on the tops of the columns – the height of one capital was five cubits, and the height of the other capital was five cubits –
17 a lattice network, with twisted threads/wreath gedil H1434 of chain work, for the capitals which were on top of the columns, seven chains for one capital and seven for the other capital.
18 And he made the columns, and two rows of pomegranates/ H7416 rimmon above the network/H7639 shabakah all around to cover the capitals that were on top, and so he did for the other capital.
19 And the capitals that were on top of the columns in the hall were in the shape of lilies, four cubits.
20 And there were capitals above also on the two columns, by the bulge which was next to the network. And the pomegranates were two hundred, in rows on each of the capitals all around.
The word translated as capitals in Hebrew is katharath H3805 and comes from the root word kathar H3803 which means round about/compass about/surround/restrain in a negative way and crown/enclose in a positive way. Since we saw the spiritual significance of these pillars we see both aspects that something is concealed/restrained from those not allowed to enter into worshiping the true Aluahym or making him go in circles, him not coming to a spiritual understanding. But for those who are called to understand the mysteries of the kingdom they will see the crown/ be enclosed to view the beauty of our Mashiyach.
The height of each capital was 5 cubits which speaks of Torah (the first five books) in which is hidden the Torah of life.
There was a lattice network with wreaths of chain work on the capitals which were on top of the amud/pillars. The lattice work was ornamental design and represents like a net/veil along with chain work which shows a spiritual significance of something being concealed
The word network/H7639 shabakah also means nets for catching animals/snare and reticulated ornament
The network covered the capitals/crown of the pillar/amud with the twisted threads of chain work.
The Hebrew word translated as wreath/twisted threads is gedil H1434 and is another word for tstsits
Deu 22:12 “Make tassels/H1434 on the four corners of the garment with which you cover yourself.
The word for chain is H8333 sharashrah which is from a root word sharash H8327 which means 'to take root or pluck out' . There is one more root word 'sharshah' H8331 which means 'that which is linked' .This word is used as an ornamental chain which is linked. It gives a beautiful picture of everything linked to Mashiyach. The chain/sharashrah were seven on each capital/katharath where number 7 in scripture speaks of totality, which shows everything is linked to Mashiyach in its totality. e.g. Yahusha between the 7 assemblies which are represented by 7 lampstands. There are many other examples but we won't go into them.
These twisted tassels/wreaths were on top of the columns, that's exactly where the tassels of the garments were worn. The twisted threads work shows the firmness of the Covenant which Yahuah makes with us through Yahusha ha Mashiyach.
Re 1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
1Kings 7:18 And he made the columns, and two rows of pomegranates/ H7416 rimmon above the network/H7639 shabakah all around to cover the capitals that were on top, and so he did for the other capital.
1Kings 7:20 And there were capitals above also on the two columns, by the bulge which was next to the network. And the pomegranates were two hundred, in rows on each of the capitals all around.
Firstly we must understand that the entire blue print of the temple Shelemoh built was given by the Ruach to David who explained the plans to his son Shelemoh. Shelemoh only executed the plan. Hence, the Ruach is hidden in the letter.
1Ch 28:11 And Dawiḏ gave his son Shelomoh the plans for the porch, and its houses, and its treasuries, and its upper rooms, and its inner rooms, and the place of atonement;
1Ch 28:12 and the plans for all that he (David) had by the Spirit/Ruach, of the courtyards of the House of יהוה, and of all the rooms all around, and of the treasuries of the House of Elohim, and of the treasuries for the set-apart gifts;
Shelemoh made two rows of pomegranates 200 each on each capital above the network/shabakah. The pomegranates were also on the bottom of the high priest garments
Exo 28:33 “And on its hem you shall make pomegranates/rimmon H7416 of blue and purple and scarlet material, all around its hem, and bells of gold between them all around:
Exo 28:34 a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, on the hem of the robe all around.
Exo 28:35 “And it shall be upon Aharon to attend in, and its sound shall be heard when he goes into the set-apart place before יהוה and when he comes out, so that he does not die.
What is the significance of a pomegranate?
Ancient Yahudite tradition teaches that the pomegranate is a symbol of righteousness because it is said to have 613 seeds, which corresponds with the 613 mitzvot, or commandments, of the Torah. For this reason and others, it is customary to eat pomegranates on Rosh Hashanah. Moreover, the pomegranate represents fruitfulness, knowledge, learning, and wisdom.
But this isn't the idea from scripture. While I agree the pomegranate represents fruitfulness, knowledge, learning and wisdom but to say it has exactly 613 seeds is foolish
Num 13:22 And they ascended by the Negev, and came unto Chevron; where Achiyman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anaq, were. (Now Chevron was built seven years before Tso`an in Mitsrayim.)
Num 13:23 And they came unto the brook of Eshkol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bore it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs.
Num 13:24 The place was called Nachal Eshkol, because of the cluster of grapes which the children of Yashar’el cut down from thence.
Deu 8:7 “For יהוה your Elohim is bringing you into a good land, a land of streams of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills,
Deu 8:8 a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey,
Deu 8:9 a land in which you eat bread without scarcity, in which you do not lack at all, a land whose stones are iron and out of whose hills you dig copper.
Deu 8:10 “And you shall eat and be satisfied, and shall bless יהוה your Elohim for the good land which He has given you.
Pomegranates has multiple seeds and each seed hold a potential to grow into a pomegranate tree. Mashiyach was the seed and the promise was made to the seed and not to seeds as of many. It was a reminder of the fruitfulness in Mashiyach through whom many seeds will be accounted fruitful in Him.
Son 4:11 Your lips, O my bride, drip as the honeycomb; Honey and milk are under your tongue. And the fragrance of your garments Is like the fragrance of Leḇanon.
Son 4:12 A garden locked is my sister, my bride, A fountain locked, a spring sealed up.
Son 4:13 Your plants are an orchard of pomegranates with pleasant fruits, With henna, nard,
How many pomegranates on the capital?
1Ki 7:20 And the capitals upon the two pillars had pomegranates also above, over against the belly which was by the network: and the pomegranates were two hundred in rows round about upon either/sheniy H8145 capitals
2Ch 3:15 And at the front of the House he made two columns thirty-five cubits high, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.
2Ch 3:16 And he made wreaths of chainwork, as in the Speaking Place, and put them on top of the columns. And he made one hundred pomegranates, and put them on the wreaths of chainwork.
The English semantics shows a contradiction but when we see the Hebrew word sheniy we understand that the word sheniy means two/either/each, hence, when 1 Kings 7:20 and 2 Chro 3:16 are reconciled there were two hundred pomegranates i.e. 200 on each capital/chapiter, 1 Kings 7 records the pomegranates round about in rows upon the capital and doesn’t mention that there were two networks whereas 2 Chro 3:16 records of putting 100 pomegranates on the wreaths of the chain work on one network and again here it doesn’t mention that there were two networks whereas 2 Chro 4:12 mentions two networks, two rows of pomegranates for each network makes is 200. The Capitals had two networks (2 Chr 4:12). Hence 200 x 2 Captials of 2 pillars =400
2Ch 4:12 the two columns and the bowl-shaped capitals that were on top of the two columns, and the two networks to cover the two bowl-shaped capitals which were on top of the columns;
2Ch 4:13 and four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowl-shaped capitals that were on the columns
But doesn't YarmeYahu tell us there were 96 pomegranates on the sides? We need to read the verse 23 of Jer 52 in its entirety, he says one hundred in all but 96 on the sides which means since Shelemoh placed the pillars at the porch of the temple close to the wall and hence 4 pomegranates were not visible on one network of each capital, remember there was another network on which were another 100 pomegranates which YarmeYahu doesn’t describe here as all 100 of the pomegranates were visible on this network on the capital. The scriptures are harmonious and reconcile well when examined carefully.
All the pomegranates on the network were one hundred, all around.
The significance of the 400 pomegranates:
The number 40 in scripture speaks of affliction.
Ge 15:13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
Exo 12:40 And the sojourn of the children of Yisra’ěl who lived in Mitsrayim was four hundred and thirty years.

Gal 3:16 But the promises were spoken to Aḇraham, and to his Seed. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,
who is Messiah.
Gal 3:17 Now this I say, Torah, that came four hundred and thirty years later, does not annul a covenant previously confirmed by Elohim in Messiah, so as to do away with the promise.
430 years of sojourn includes Abraham and the 400 is purely his SEED i.e. when Issac was 5 and that's when the bondwoman and her son were cast off. This means that the Covenant with the seed was in effect when the bondwoman and her son were cast out because it cannot with both under the same roof.
For details you may read my study Was Yasharal 400 years or 430 years in Mitsyarim/ Egypt? here:
The 400 pomegranates show the affliction of the seed of Abraham as these pomegranates were also made of burnished bronze, but they will be fruitful in growing in numbers in their affliction. Remember, the promise was not to seeds as in many but to the SEED who is Mashiyach.
The hundred pomegranates on each network:
Mat 13:23 “And that sown on the good soil is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and yields – some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”
While Mashiyach doesn't speak of which seed is sown but the principle of 100 fold remains the same as seen in the 100 pomegranates on each network shows a double fruitfulness in understanding the mysteries of the kingdom of Yahuah.
Aharon's garment had a pomegranate between the bell of his garment showing the OT high priesthood had a break in the fruitfulness as the bell was for fear whether he was alive when he went into the Most Set Apart place once a year, the bell also stood as a reminder to Yahuah of the eternal Malchitsedeq priesthood of Mashiyach so that the high priest ministering to Yahuah in the Most Set Apart place goes in and comes out without harm because of Mashiyach.
The word pomegranate H7416 comes from the root work ramam H7426 which means lift up/mount up or exalt
The pomegranates were placed above the two networks on the capitals showing the 100% fruitfulness at its peak.
Lastly, YarmeYahu gives a description of these two pillars when the Chaldees/Babylonians were breaking them and carrying them away
Jer 52:17 And the Chaldeans broke the bronze columns that were in the House of יהוה, and the stands and the bronze Sea that were in the House of יהוה, and brought all their bronze to Baḇel.
While the heykal/temple stood destroyed and the pillars being broken and carried away we see Daniel testifying he saw three Messengers, one on either side of the bank of the river symbolic for Old Covenant and Renewed Covenant and one symbolically of them asking the Messenger who was above the waters ''How long until the end of these wonders?'' And the Messenger whom Daniel saw lifted his right as well as His left hand to the heavens and swore by Him who lives forever that it would be for muaed/time, muaedim/times and khatsay/half a time. The Messenger who was above the waters is Mashiyach bridging both the Covenants as the Covenant is One and by his two hands which he was impaled on the stake He transitions the physical pattern into the spiritual unto Himself. He being above the waters is a synonym of being over the peoples
Dan 12:5 Then I, Dani’ĕl, looked and saw two others standing, one on this bank of the river and the other on that bank.
Dan 12:6 And one said to the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long until the end of these wonders?”
Dan 12:7 And I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, and he held up his right hand and his left hand to the heavens, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it would be for a time/muaed H4150, times/muaedim H4150, and half a time/chetsiy H2677. And when they have ended scattering the power of the set-apart people, then all these shall be completed.
'muaedim' is the same word used for Yahuah's appointed times as Shabbath and Feasts. The physical is being transitioned into completion and spiritually in Himself as He is the heavenly pattern, the earthly stood as a type and shadow of Him who was to come.
Rev 10:4 And when the seven thunders spoke their sounds, I was about to write, but I heard a voice from the heaven saying to me, “Seal up what the seven thunders spoke, and do not write them.”
Rev 10:5 And the messenger whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to the heaven,
Rev 10:6 and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created the heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that there shall be no further delay,
We must reconcile these two visions of Daniel and Yahuchanan to be One and the little scroll in His hand is an additional information which helps us understand that its the Scroll of the Covenant He makes with the people. Yahusha went up in a Cloud from Mt of Olives and his disciples saw two men who stood by them in white apparel stating that this same Yahusha would come back in the same manner as you have seen Him go into heaven

Ac 1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud/anan received him out of their sight.
Ac 1:10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
Ac 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Yahusha, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Lu 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud/anan with power and great glory.

Rev 10:1 And I saw another strong messenger coming down from the heaven, robed in a cloud, and a rainbow on his head, and his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire,

Rev 10:2 and having in his hand a little scroll opened. And he placed his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,

This messenger who came down from heaven, his feet were like amud/pillars of esh/fire. He had a rainbow on his head. Rainbow is the covenant which Yahuah made with mankind after the flood. Hence the rainbow on the head is symbolic that he is mindful of the covenant. He placed is pillars of fire feet on the sea and on the land, again showing that he is bridging the Covenant as the Covenant is one.
Rev 10:5 And the messenger whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to the heaven,
Rev 10:6 and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created the heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that there shall be no delay/שהות,
Here He is seen only lifting His right hand to the heaven, which shows the power and authority as He is seated at the right hand of the Almighty. Right hand is the execution of the same Power of the Almighty (not that one person is seated besides the other). The same Yahuah as in Psalms 110:1 where it says Yahuah said to my Yahuah (Adonay) Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool. Its Yahuah in both the realms speaking as the first and the second person. Yahuchanan tells us this Messenger said there shall be no delay (שהות) which shows everything is reconciled as One pattern in Himself
While YarmeYahu was showing the events of the Chaldees breaking and taking the pillars along with the other things of the temple, the Messenger of the Covenant stood for His people bridging the Covenant, as seen by Daniel when in the Babylonian captivity and declaring the transition of muaed, muaedim and chetsiy by the death of the Messenger. Yahuchanan shows the no delay as everything is being reconciled in Mashiyach.
When we read Daniel 7:25 we understand that many will fail the transition in Mashiyach and will actually be occupied in the hand of their religious leaders captivated by Shatan who changes times and laws as per the carnal commandments which have no spiritual significance as they deny Mashiyach as to be the fulfillment and the goal of Torah.
Da 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
