Refuting Apocrypha Book of Hanok

The full version of the Book of Enoch is a 15th century text or later that is only found in the Ethiopian “Ge'ez” language. Ge'ez is a Semitic language that is used for liturgy in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, the Ethiopian Catholic Church and in the Ethiopian Jewish congregations.
Fragments in Aramaic, Greek and Latin of the Book of Enoch have been found. It is generally believed by scholars, that the Book of Enoch may have been originally written in Aramaic or Greek and later translated into the Ethiopian Ge’ez language after the 3rd century AD
This book was never included in the Yahudite Canon
There are various portions as mentioned in scriptures for example ‘’ Is this not written in the book of Yasher?’’
2Sa 1:18 and he ordered “The Bow” to be taught to the children of Yehuḏah. See, it is written in the Book of Yashar:
The book of Yasher was never in Hebrew Cannon. Lately many who call on the name of Yahuah and Yahusha have gone into apostasy into looking into these books trying to fit their beliefs from these books into the inspired texts. The following is a quote from book of Yashar which elevates Enoch to be called to rule the angels:
Yashar 3:23 And in some time after, when the kings and princes and the sons of men were speaking to Enoch, and Enoch was teaching them the ways of God, behold an angel of the Lord then called unto Enoch from heaven, and wished to bring him up to heaven to make him reign there over the sons of God, as he had reigned over the sons of men upon earth.
This is apostasy because if anything compared to the inspired text and it doesn’t match up needs to be discarded straight away. Scripture says Yahusha is the head of all principalities and powers not only in this age but in the age to come. If one accepts book of Yashar to be inspired text then he/she has 2 rulers of angels Hanok and Yahusha.
Eph 1:20 which He wrought in the Messiah when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenlies,
Eph 1:21 far above all rule and authority and power and mastery, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
Eph 1:22 And He put all under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all, to the assembly,
Eph 1:23 which is His body, the completeness of Him who fills all in all.
Not only this if one reads verses of the same chapter 3 Enoch is said to be Godlike in appearance as initially he separated himself from the people for 3 days and went up 1 day and then he hid himself for 6 days and appeared to his people 1 day in 7 days and after that once in a month and then once in a year and the people became afraid of him on account of the Godlike (excuse me for the term, I am using it as its written in the book of Yashar in this way) awe of his countenance.
Yashar 3:18 And Enoch did so, but did not entirely secret himself from them, but kept away from the sons of men three days and then went to them for one day.
19 And during the three days that he was in his chamber, he prayed to, and praised the Lord his God, and the day on which he went and appeared to his subjects he taught them the ways of the Lord, and all they asked him about the Lord he told them.
20 And he did in this manner for many years, and he afterward concealed himself for six days, and appeared to his people one day in seven; and after that once in a month, and then once in a year, until all the kings, princes and sons of men sought for him, and desired again to see the face of Enoch, and to hear his word; but they could not, as all the sons of men were greatly afraid of Enoch, and they feared to approach him on account of the Godlike awe that was seated upon his countenance; therefore no man could look at him, fearing he might be punished and die.
We have scripture only recording of Masha’s face shining when he came down from Mount Sinai and Shaul the emissary confirms that if the administering of death in letters, engraved on stones was esteemed so that the children of Yasharal couldn’t steadfastly look at the face of Masha because of the passing esteem of the written Torah, the administering of the Ruach which is the Torah of life is much more. There is no record of any other person apart from Masha whose face shone mentioned in scripture and tied to the ministration of the letter.
Exo 34:29 And it came to be, when Mosheh came down from Mount Sinai, while the two tablets of the Witness were in Mosheh’s hand when he came down from the mountain, that Mosheh did not know that the skin of his face shone since he had spoken with Him.
Exo 34:30 And Aharon and all the children of Yisra’ĕl looked at Mosheh and saw the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him.
2Co 3:6 who also made us competent as servants of a renewed covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit, for the letter kills but the Spirit gives life.
2Co 3:7 But if the administering of death in letters, engraved on stones, was esteemed, so that the children of Yisra’ĕl were unable to look steadily at the face of Mosheh because of the esteem of his face, which was passing away,
2Co 3:8 how much more esteemed shall the administering of the Spirit not be?
The word Canon comes from the Hebrew word Qaneh which means reed (H7070 qaneh) as stated in Ezekiel 40:3 & Ezekiel 42:16
In his writings the Yahudite historian Josephus, states this:
For we have not an innumerable multitude of books among us, disagreeing from and contradicting one another, [as the Greeks have,] but only twenty-two books, which contain the records of all the past times; which are justly believed to be divine; and of them five belong to Moses, which contain his laws and the traditions of the origin of mankind till his death. This interval of time was little short of three thousand years; but as to the time from the death of Moses till the reign of Artaxerxes king of Persia, who reigned after Xerxes, the prophets, who were after Moses, wrote down what was done in their times in thirteen books. The remaining four books contain hymns to God, and precepts for the conduct of human life. It is true, our history hath been written since Artaxerxes very particularly, but hath not been esteemed of the like authority with the former by our forefathers, because there hath not been an exact succession of prophets since that time; and how firmly we have given credit to these books of our own nation is evident by what we do; for during so many ages as have already passed, no one has been so bold as either to add any thing to them, to take any thing from them, or to make any change in them; but it is become natural to all Jews immediately, and from their very birth, to esteem these books to contain Divine doctrines, and to persist in them, and, if occasion be willingly to die for them.i
He states there were only 22 books which contain the record of all the past times which are justly believed to be divine. Why does he say just 22 books whereas our Protestant bibles have 39 books listed?
In a typical Jewish printing of the Scriptures the arrangement is as follows:
The Law: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy: 5 books • The Prophets: Joshua, Samuel, Kings, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel- 7 books The 12 books (Hosea to Malachi) included in the prophets as minor prophets • The Writings: Psalms, Proverbs, Job, Song of Songs, Ruth-Judges, Ecclesiastes, Esther, Daniel, Ezra-Nehemiah, Chronicles: 10 books
Hence 5 + 7 + 10 =22
In Protestant Bibles, many of the books are divided—Samuel becomes 1 and 2 Samuel, Chronicles becomes 1 and 2 Chronicles, Ezra and Nehemiah are separate books, as are Ruth and Judges. This is how it becomes 39 books in our bibles. Here is how:
The Law: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy: 5 books • The Prophets: Joshua, 1 Samuel & 2 Samuel, 1 Kings & 2 Kings, Isaiah, Jeremiah-Lamentations, Ezekiel- 9 books The 12 books (Hosea to Malachi) minor prophets -12 books • The Writings: Psalms, Proverbs, Job, Song of Songs, Ruth, Judges, Ecclesiastes, Esther, Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah, 1 Chronicles & 2 Chronicles: 13 books
5 + 9 + 12 + 13 = 39
Paul quotes from the Greek writer and comedian Menander [Thais 218] – “Don't be deceived! ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals’." found in 1 Corinthians 15:33. This is a truth that is also found in scripture [Proverbs 13:20 and 22:24-25], but instead of using Hebrew scripture, Paul may have thought the Greeks in the Corinthian Church would understand the message better if he quoted from a pagan Greek writer they may have been familiar with.
Paul quotes from a pagan scientist, philosopher, and poet named Aratus – “'For in him we live, and move, and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also his offspring.'” found in Acts 17:28. This poem was actually used for praise to Zeus, but Paul used it to teach about the true Alahym.
Paul quotes Epimenides, another pagan writer in Titus 1:12: “One of them, a prophet of their own, said, "Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, and idle gluttons."
Is this statement about all Cretans biblically true? The current population on the Island of Crete is about 624,000 people, so are we to believe that all 624,000 of these people are always liars, evil beasts and gluttons? It's more likely Paul was using this pagan prophet to make a point.
So, the question we need to ask is should these pagan writer’s be considered "Alahym inspired"? These pagan writers are quoted in the bible by the Apostle Paul, does that mean we should make all the works of these pagan writers inspired? Should we put all their pagan poems, prophecies and writings in the bible? The answer to all these questions is absolutely not. The fact that Yahuah uses the term ‘’Is this not written in the book of Yasher’’ is a test to his people to examine and compare to discard falsehood, while at the same time to disperse those not chosen into confusion so that they don’t arrive at truth. People don’t share this common sense when it comes to the Book of Enoch and other books such as Yasher and Jubilees. Some think that just because the Apostle Jude supposedly quotes Enoch 1:9, then that means the entire Book of Enoch is inspired. If this principle was used with Menande, Artus, and Epimenides, then our bible would be much larger and filled with many pagan teachings that would introduce strange doctrines in the bible.
Holding to the faithful word which is according to the teaching, that he may be able to exhort in the sound doctrine, and to convict those who contradict him. For there are also many unruly men, vain talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, whose mouths must be stopped; men who overthrow whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for dishonest gain's sake. One of them, a prophet of their own, said, ‘Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, and idle gluttons.’ This testimony is true. For this cause, reprove them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, not paying attention to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn away from the truth.” (Titus 1:9-14)
People who accept this work as equal to biblical truth need to heed the advice of Paul: "...Reprove them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, not paying attention to Jewish fables..."
Quote of Jude:
Jude 1:14-15: "...Behold, Yahuah (name changed) cometh with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly..." KJV
Jude 1:14-15: "... Behold, the Yahuah (name changed) came with ten thousands of his holy ones, to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their works of ungodliness which they have ungodly wrought..." ASV
Book of Enoch 1:9: "And behold! He cometh with ten thousands of His holy ones to execute judgment upon all, and to destroy all the ungodly..." (R.H. Charles translation, 1917)
Book of Enoch 2:1 (1:9) "Behold, he comes with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon them, and destroy the wicked..." (Translated from Ethiopic by Richard Laurence, London, 1883)
Jude states to convince the ungodly whereas book of Enoch says to destroy the wicked
Two different meanings altogether
Did Yahusha quote from the book of Enoch?
But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life." (John 4:14 WEB)
The supposed 1 Enoch similarity
Enoch 48:1 “And in that place I saw the fountain of righteousness which was inexhaustible: And around it were many fountains of wisdom; and all the thirsty drank of them, and were filled with wisdom, And their dwellings were with the righteous and holy and elect.”
In John 4:14 Yahusha was speaking of living water springing up from within a person. However, 1 Enoch is not talking about this same thing. It is more likely that the writers of 1 Enoch may have borrowed from Isaiah 12:3, 55:1, 58:11; Jeremiah 2:13; Psalm 36:8-9 and modified the concepts found in these verses.
I can’t list all the contradictions from the book of Enoch but here are a few from the enoch book online here: http://www.hiddenbible.com/enoch/on...
1) The Book of Enoch contradicts scripture by saying all sin in the world did not originate with Adam, as the scripture states, but from a fallen angel named Azazel. Enoch 10:8
2) The Book of Enoch claims angels can cleanse the earth of all sin. This is counter to scripture and the message of the Basarah and makes the Book of Enoch heretical. Enoch 10:20-21
3) The Book of Enoch states that the human women who had sexual relations with fallen angels, and gave birth to giants will also be transformed into mythical creatures known as “sirens” which is the promotion of pagan teachings. Enoch 19:2
4) The Book of Enoch states that in the last days the children of the holy elect will come down from heaven to be one with the children of men. This is another strange concept that disagrees with scripture. Enoch 39:1
5) Yahusha stated he was going into heaven to prepare a mansion for the righteous, but the Book of Enoch says sinners must be evicted from the heavenly mansions first. Enoch 41:2
6) Yahusha shed his blood as the final sacrifice, but the Book of Enoch says Alahym will still require a certain number of righteous to shed their blood as an offering required by him.
7) Scriptures teach those who are in Sheol will be cast into the lake of fire, but the Book of Enoch says that Alahym will choose the righteous and holy from hell. Enoch 51:1-2
8) The Book of Enoch teaches that only the angels built the Ark, but the scriptures say Noah and his family were involved with the Ark. As a sign of his obedience and faith to Alahym Noah took the instructions of Alahym and completed the Ark. Angels are never mentioned as the builders of the Ark. Enoch 67:2
9) Book of Enoch states Enoch chapter 40:9 and the fourth, (angel) who is set over the repentance unto hope of those who inherit eternal life, is named Phanuel.’ This is blasphemy because an angel name Phanuel replaces the Ruach of Aluahym which brings the true repentance leading one to Mashiyach
10) The Book of Enoch teaches pagan mythology, by claiming the Sun and Moon are beings that ride in chariots across the sky. Then the Book of Enoch adds further heresy, by stating this knowledge about the cosmos was given from heaven. Enoch 72:4-5 & Enoch 73:12
Enoch 75:8: "And I saw chariots in the heaven, running in the world, above those portals in which revolve the stars that never set."
The teaching in the Book of Enoch is not meant to be a poetic illustration. In fact, the Book of Enoch claims this information about how the Sun and Moon go across the sky in a chariot, was actually knowledge given to Enoch from heaven by Uriel the angel (See chapters 79, and 80:1). However, how could that be true when we see king Yosiah destroying the dedication and symbolism of the Sun Chariot?
2Ki 23:11 And he/Yosiah did away with the horses that the sovereigns of Yehuḏah had given to the sun, at the entrance to the House of יהוה, by the room of Nathan-Meleḵ the eunuch, that were in the court. And he burned the chariots of the sun with fire.
11) The Book of Enoch speaks wickedly about the Second Temple and the sacrifices, which Alahym considered qodesh because it was him who strengthend the hands of Ezra and Nehemiah to continue the work of rebuilding . Enoch 89:72-74
12) The Book of Enoch says that Noah’s father was fearful of Noah when he was born, because Noah did not appear human and had eyes like laser beams that illuminated the entire house. In addition, the Book of Enoch says that Noah and his grandfather Methuselah were able to speak to Enoch from the edge of the earth and that Enoch appeared when summoned to shared secrets from heaven. Not only does this contradict scripture, but it appears to be very pagan, or like occult teachings, which is probably why many in the occult support this book. Enoch 106:2-3
13) Enoch is elevated to be above Mashiyach as the book teaches he was called by Alahym to come to heaven to rule his angels just as he ruled mankind
14) The book also teaches Enoch kept himself most of the time locked up away from men and came very seldom to teach them the words of Alahym and the whole world came to him to hear the pure words
There are so many other garbage stuff which is not worth a read. Doctrines of demons
Moreover the temple scroll found in the Dead sea scrolls as the book of Enoch adds to the Tanak by stating laws which are more burdensome than Masha’s Turah.
One of them being no consummation of marriage within the temple city and purification for upto 3 days to even enter the temple city for the married couple who consummate marriage outside the temple city
The book also elevates the imaginary second temple of the writer of the Temple scroll above the one which Solomon built and says it should have been built like the one the writer understood it
The basis of calendar’s are from these pagan demonic books which are full of heresy
Just because it fits to what you believe dosen’t make these books inspired text
Yahusha calls all those into repentance who have ventured into these pagan beliefs
I am not a solicitor of any calendar but urge you and everyone occupied in a calendar to see the times we live in with the sign of the sun turning black and the moon into blood before the great day of Yahuah.
