The Cycles of Turah

Romans 6:23 For the wages (sakar) of sin is death; but the gift of Alahaym is eternal life through Yahusha Ha Mashiyach our Master

The book of Romans was written to the Yahudim who believed in Yahusha ha Mashiyach to show them their progression from the Turah of sin and death to the Turah of the Spirit of life. Paul in Chapters 5 through 8 speaks of this progression explaining how Turah is spiritual and man is carnal and a slave to sin and the punishment that man would receive based on his disobedience to the Turah but those in Mashiyach Yahusha will escape this punishment resulting in Eternal life and the cycle of Turah which was broken is restored not as in oldness of the letter but by the newness of the spirit. We will not look at all the scriptures from chapters 5 through 8 but we will see the progression of the deliverance from the judgment which comes from disobedience to the Turah and how the cycle is broken and restored in its intended purpose. We will also compare with scriptures from the rest of the scrolls of the books to see the progression.

The Hebrew word 'sakar' means 'hire' as in given to a laborer and its usage is unique to show us that the hire of labouring in sin is DEATH. Jews of Judaism had a different perspective of Sin and they considered sins as defined by the Turah as some leading to the death penalty and some not leading to the death penalty but only scourging for commiting them. The Roman church concept of venial sins and mortal sins is rooted in Judiasm and is an outward relation based on evidence to the crime the accused had committed for which punishment was rendered.

When Yahuwah gave his Turah he lists out measures of balances for transgressions of the Turah as an outward punishment for violating civil and moral laws.

De 25:1 ¶ If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.
And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number. [3] Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy brother should seem vile unto thee.

So the Jews believed in wages/hire of beating or stripes for transgressions not resulting in death penalty and stoned to death or shot through with a dart for transgressions worthy of death penalty.

Ex 31:14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

Yahuwah looks at the heart and his Turah spiritual hence the recompense given by him will be based on the evidence of the heart and not the letter.

There is not a man or woman who have not committed a sin not resulting the death penalty. All men and women have committed sins resulting the death penalty. The Jews observed the outside form of Turah i.e. in the way it made sense to them carnally. Hence Paul writes to the Roman Jews who were now true Jews by faith in Mashiyach that the Turah is spiritual and man is carnal and slave of sin.

Ro 7:14 ¶ For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

Romans 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

Paul says death reigned from Adam to Moses even over them that had not sinned like the sin Adam did which carried the death penalty.

Ge 2:16 ¶ And Yahuwah Alahaym commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

The ones not sinning in the likeness of the sin as Adam did which carried death penalty, death still reigned over them because no one can ever not sin not resulting the death penalty.

Jas 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole TURAH, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the TURAH.

Romans 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before Alahaym

Ro 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of Alahaym;

A Jew would look at adultery as lying down with another woman who is not his wife but Yahusha defined the Turah spiritually saying that if you look at a woman lustfully you have committed adultery in your heart with her. So there is no escape from the death penalty.
By this we can now know what Paul meant when he said death reigned from Adam to Mosheh even over those who did not sin in the likeness as Adam did.

Since the Turah is spiritual and man is born carnal, when he is put in the cycle of the Turah he will only take the carnal meaning of the Turah in an outward show of humility and hence his observance of the Turah if not in the true intended way as it was supposed to be called for the death penalty. This is where our Messiah comes to our rescue. He is the only one who kept the Turah perfectly in the true intended way as it was designed. By his perfect obedience he took our death penalty on himself and blotted out the accusations of disobedience to the Turah by nailing it to the stake along with him thus making peace.

Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of testifying  that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to the stake;

He not only took our death penalties on himself, he also took the scourging and beating for the sins not resulting in the death penalty.

John 19:1-3 Then Pilate therefore took Yahusha, and scourged him . [2] And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe, [3] And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands.

1 Peter 2:24-25 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. [25] For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

His scourging healed us, his death redeemed us. We are in a progression of after being healed towards the redemption of our bodies. We were bound to die with the sickness called sin whose wages is death but now we are healed of this sickness so the gift is the promise of eternal life in Mashiyach Yahusha. Thats what Paul says in Rom 6:23

Rom7:5 For while we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were aroused by the Turah, were at work in the members of our body to bear fruit for death.
Rom7:6 But now we have been released from the Turah, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.

Christianity teaches that the Turah is abolished based on misunderstanding of few scriptures and one of them is stated above. Paul is not teaching that but is saying that we are released from what we were bound by the Turah of sin and death to serve Yahuwah in the newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.

Now that we are alive in the Spirit we still have the decrees of sin in the members of our body warring against the decrees of the mind, again the Messiah comes to our rescue because the condemnation of the sins working in my members has been wiped off by him and the Turah made alive to me to understand it after the Spirit and not walking in the flesh.

Ro 7:22 For I delight in the Turah of Alahaym after the inward man:
23 But I see another decree in my members, warring against the decrees of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the Turah of sin which is in my members.
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25 I thank Alahaym through Yahusha Ha Mashiyach our Master. So then with the mind I myself serve the Turah of Alahaym; but with the flesh the Turah of sin.
Rom 8:1 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in the Mashiyach Yahusha, (which walk not after the flesh: but after the Spirit)
Rom 8:2 For the Turah of the Spirit of life in the Mashiyach Yahusha has set you free from the Turah of sin and of death.

We see the circles of the Turah in the Alphabets Pey (mouth) Tsad (chase) Quph (circle as in time) where Pey is the mouth Tsad is chasing and Quph is circles of time. The circumcised heart is inclined to following the circles of Turah by confessing Turah, chasing Turah in circles of the Appointed times of Yahuah in Yahusha.

The cycles of Turah were broken because of our carnality resulting in apostasy and the 'Shamash' (sun) turned darkness and moon into blood (lunar cycles of Turah) is restored in the newness of the Spirit and not oldness of the letter.

Isa66:22 For just as the new heavens and the new earth which I make shall endure before Me, declares Yahuwah, so your offspring and your name shall endure.
Isa66:23 And it shall be from Chodesh (renewed moon) to Chodesh (renewed moon) and from Shabbat to Shabbat, All mankind shall come to bow down before Me, says Yahuwah

The circles of keeping Turah from One Shabbat to another Shabbat in flesh without understanding and meeting Mashiyach in them Yisharal  year by year kept with a continuous reminder of sins and carrying the death penalty in them without their knowledge. The cycle was broken because fault was with THEM not Turah hence Yahuwah says all flesh shall come to worship him from one renewed moon to renewed moon and from one Shabbat to another Shabbat.Shabbat is first Appointed times and Hanukkah last and again the cycle of Turah would begin with Shabbat now in the newness of the spirit.

Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith Yahuwah, when I will renew the covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Yahudah:
Heb 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith Yahuwah.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith Yahuwah; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them Alahaym, and they shall be to me a people:

Those belonging to the new heavens and new earth have a restoration of the circles of Turah because they are spiritually alive and have met the Messiah in them.

But then we have Yahuchanan talking about sin leading to death and sin not leading to death. Now that we are spiritually alive and have seen that 'Wages of sin is DEATH' and there is not a single human being who has not committed sins not leading to death we need to see this is spiritual comparison.

1 John 5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall pray, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

The sin unto death is a sin containing death penalty. The brother should show the work of circumcision in his heart but if the brother doesn't show the work of the Spirit in his heart and goes to harlots, fornicates, is an idolator, a drunkard, blasphemer, riotious, mocker takes Alahaym's name in vain etc there is no evidence shown by him that he is circumcised in the heart. But brother who sins a sin not leading to death are brothers having the decrees of sin working in their members which are against the decrees of mind. They are  walking in the light of the besorah obeying the cycles of Turah in the newness of Spirit and hence when they pray Yahusha shall give them life.

John goes on to say: 1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of Alahaym  sinneth not; but he that is begotten of Alahaym  keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

So the one born of Alahaym sinneth not a sin leading to death. We are told not to associate or eat (referring to fellowship) with so called brothers who are fornicators, covetous, idolators, railer, drunkard etc because they are not showing the evidence of circumcision in their hearts in obeying the cycles of Turah. They are carnal and have derived another besorah (gospel).

1Co 5:9 ¶ I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.
11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

We are in the flesh and as long as in the flesh we do commit sins resulting in scourging (chastisment).

Hebrews 12:8-9 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. [9] Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us , and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

Luke 12:47-48 And that servant, which knew his masters will, and prepared not himself , neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes . [48] But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes . For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

The evidence of our salvation is our reaction towards the sins resulting in death penalty.David committed murder of Bathsheba's husband and committed adultery with Bathsheba which were sins of death penalty. We see how he lamented and mourned in Psalms 51 and he was forgiven before he even realized it but the evidence of his heart was to be set apart to Alahaym. He couldn't live in those sins. He was desperate for forgiveness. His cry was do not take your Ruach Ha Qodesh from me. He had seen king Shaul from whom the Ruach ha Qodesh was taken away from and he was sore afraid that it may result in the same for him. This was a desparate cry of a circumcised heart.

Ps51:11 Do not cast me away from Your presence and do not take Your Ruach Ha Qodesh from me.

We too must feel the same when we in past blasphmed his name and broke his Turah and taught lies in his name being part of Mystery Babylon fornicating and allowing the spirit of Iyzebel (Jezebel) to teach and seduce us into fornication and eating things sacrificed to idols (symbolisms used for Gentiles style worship and not in the circles of Turah).

Rev2:20 “But I have a few things against you, that you tolerate the woman Iyzebel (Jezebel), who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My servants astray so that they commit fornication and eat things sacrificed to idols.”
Rev2:21 “I gave her time to repent, and she does not want to repent of her fornication.”
Rev2:22 “Behold, I shall throw her on a bed, and them who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.”
Rev2:23 “And I shall kill her children with death, and all the assemblies shall know that I am He who searches the reins and hearts; and I shall give to each one of you according to your deeds.”

Compare the fornication and eating things sacrificed to idols with the command given to Gentiles coming to faith by the apostles.

Ac 15:29 That ye (Gentiles in faith) abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

All those in the pagan Greek-Roman culture are part of Mystery Babylon and Yahusha says he will kill them with DEATH. But all those in the renewed covenant and worshiping Yahuwah in the circles of Turah as being alive in the Spirit having met the Mashiyach in each appointed time are the ones showing the evidence of being a true Jew by keeping the requirements of the Turah whose praise doesn't come from man but from Alahaym himself.

Rom2:26 So if the uncircumcised man keeps the requirements of the Turah, shall not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision?
Rom2:27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if he fulfill the Turah, shall he judge you who by the letter of the Turah and circumcision are a transgressor of the Turah?
Rom2:28 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh.
Rom2:29 But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from the Elohim.
