Let's begin by reading from Isaiah 7. In this chapter we read that Rezin king of Syria and and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to JUDAH to take it to set up their king but could not prevail against it.
Isa 7:1 ¶ And it came to pass in the days of Achaz (Ahaz) the son of Yotham, the son of UzziYahu (Uzziah), king of Yahudah, that rose (aylah) Ratsyan the king of Syria (Aram), and Pheqach the son of RamalYahu, king of Yasharal, went up toward Yerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.
Isa 7:2 When it was reported to the house of David, saying, the Arameans have camped in Ephraim, his heart and the hearts of his people shook as the trees of the forest shake with the wind.
Isa 7:5 Because Aram, with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, has planned evil against you, saying,
Isa 7:6 Let us go up against Yahudah and terrorize it, and let us make a breach therein for us and set the son of Tabeel a king in the midst of it,
Isa 7:7 thus says our Master Yahuah: It shall not stand nor shall it come to pass.
He asked Achaz to ask for a sign that he would not allow Syria, Ephraim and son of Remaliah to bring their evil scheme to pass
Isa 7:10 Then Yahuah spoke again to Ahaz, saying
Isa 7:11 Ask a sign for yourself from Yahuah your El; make deep the request or make it the high above.
Isa 7:14 Therefore our Master Himself shall give you a sign: Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and she shall call His name AmanuAl.
Heb 7:14 For it is evident that our Master was sprang out of Yahudah, of which tribe Moshe spoke nothing concerning priesthood. .
In
the previous chapter as recorded in Isaiah 6, YashaYahu (Isaiah) had seen in the vision the future glory when he saw Yahuah high and lifted up and his train filled the temple. This
happened in the year king UzziYahu (Uzziah) the king of Yahudah died.
Isa 6:1 ¶ In the year that king UzziYahu (Uzziah) died I saw Adonay sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
Joh 12:41 These things said YashaYahu (Isaiah), when he saw his (Messiah's) glory, and spake of him.
Because Syria and Ephraim tried to destroy the pattern they came under Alahym's judgment. Ephraim being people of Alahym rebelled against Alahym by joining hands with a heathen nation (Syria). This is a picture of fornication of the people of Alahym coming against his pattern.
When sealing the elect, Alahym (spiritual numbering in Rev 7) doesn't mention the tribe of Ephraim but his brother Manasseh and his father Yoseph are mentioned and there is a reason why Yoseph's name is mentioned in the spiritual numbering which we will see later
Rev 7:5 From the tribe of Yahudah, twelve thousand were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand, from the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand, .
Rev 7:6 from the tribe of Asher were sealed twelve thousand, from the tribe of Naphtali were sealed twelve thousand, from the tribe of Manasseh were sealed twelve thousand,
Rev 7:7 from the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand, from the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand, from the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand,
Rev 7:8 from the tribe of Zebulun were sealed twelve thousand, from the tribe of Yoseph were sealed twelve thousand, from the tribe of Benyamin, twelve thousand were sealed.
Gen 46:20 Now to Yoseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera, priest of On, bore to him.
Moreover Alahym tells us in Isaiah 7 the head of Syria was Damascus and of Ephraim the head was Samaria
Isa 7:8 For the head of Aram (Syria) is Damascus and the head of Damascus is Ratsyan; and within sixty and five years Ephraim shall be broken from being a people.
Isa 7:9 and the head of Ephraim is Samaria and the head of Samaria is the son of RemalYahu. If you shall not believe, you surely shall not stand.
The
judgment on Samaria (Shomoron) was evident as the words of the Samaritan woman to
Messiah says it all. Jews and Samaritans had become enemies
John 4:9 Therefore the Samaritan woman said to Him, How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me for a drink since I am a Samaritan woman? (For the Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)
John 4:9 Therefore the Samaritan woman said to Him, How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me for a drink since I am a Samaritan woman? (For the Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)
Hos 7:1 When I would heal Yasharal, the iniquity of Ephrayim is uncovered, and the wickedness of Samaria, for they have worked falsely; the thief enters in, the troop of robbers plunders outside,
Moreover Samaritans worshiped on Mount Gerizim whereas Jews in Jerusalem. Worshipping Alahim where he is not is coming against his pattern.
John 4:20 Our fathers worshiped in this mountain, and you say that in Yerushalam is the place where men ought to worship.
John 4:20 Our fathers worshiped in this mountain, and you say that in Yerushalam is the place where men ought to worship.
The tribe of Ephraim is not mentioned among the other tribes which were
sealed (in sealing of elect-spiritual numbering in Rev 7)-because he tried to destroy the pattern.
In the spiritual numbering in Rev 7 we see even the tribe of Dan is missing. Let's see this a bit closely.
Gen 49:16 Dan shall strive (dayin) his people, as one of the scepter/rod (shabatay: translated in verse 10 of Gen 49 as scepter/rod) of Yasharal.
Ge 49:17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way (derek), an adder in the path, that bites the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.
dayin: has many meanings : judge, strife, plea, tread
shabat: rod, sceptre, staff, tribe
Gen 49:10 The scepter (shabat) shall not depart from Yahudah, nor the lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes, and to him shall be the obedience of the peoples.
The correct translation should be
Gen 49:16 Dan will strive with first of the rods of Yasharal (i.e.Yahudah)
17 Dan will be a serpent against the way (against Messiah the PATTERN) and an adder in the path that strikes at the horse heels so that his rider falls backwards.
The word 'shabat' is translated as 'scepter' for tribe Yahudah from where Yahusha would spring up . Here is the verse
This same word shabat is again used for Messiah
This same word shabat is again used for Messiah
Ps 45:6 ¶ Thy throne, O Alahym, is for ever and ever: the sceptre (shabat) of your kingdom is a right sceptre (shabat).
Also the Hebrew word derek is used in Genesis for 'the way' where Cherubims guarded the way to the tree of life.
Also used for Messiah Isa 35:8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way (derek) of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
Also used for Messiah Isa 35:8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way (derek) of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
If you read the book of Judges, Dan was the tribe which set up it's own PRIESTHOOD by a Levite who was a priest to Micah
Jud18:3 When they were by the house of Micah, they recognized the voice of the young man, the Levite; and they turned aside there and said to him, Who brought you here? And what are you doing in this place? And what do you have here?
Jud18:8 When they came back to their brothers at Zorah and Eshtaol, their brothers said to them, What do you report?
Jud18:9 They said, Arise, and let us go up against them; for we have seen the land, and behold, it is very good. And shall you sit still? Do not delay to go, to enter, to possess the land.
When Yaaqob (Jacob) blessed his sons. The blessing Yaaqob gave Yahudah was that he would
be 'a lion's whelp' because from him would spring the LION OF YAHUDAH.
Gen49:9 Yahudah is a lion’s whelp; from the prey, my son, you have gone up. He couches, he lies down as a lion, and as a old lion, who dares rouse him up?
Gen49:10 The scepter shall not depart from Yahudah, nor the lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes, and to him shall be the obedience of the peoples.
Rev5:5 and one of the elders said to me, Weep not; behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Yahudah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to open the book and to loose its seven seals.
But look at
what Moses prophesied about Dan. Because Dan sinned grievously by
establishing their own priesthood against the priesthood of Messiah they
rejected the Lion of Yahudah by contending against him. They came against
the PATTERN.
Deut 33:22 Of Dan he said, Dan is a lion’s whelp, That leaps forth from Bashan.
While this may look similar to Yahudah's blessing in Gen 49:9 but the language is paradox and we must look at the last part of the verse which says ....he shall leap from Bashan
Amos 4:1 Hear this word, you cows of Bashan who are on the mountain of Samaria, who oppress the poor, who crush the needy, who say to your masters, bring now, that we may drink!
Amos 4:2 Adonai (the Master) Yahuah has sworn by His holiness, that, behold, the days are coming upon you when they shall take you away with meat hooks, and the last of you with fish hooks.
That's where Dan would leap from i.e on the mountain of Samaria where Ephraim is. Remember the head of Ephraim is Samaria and that's what we read in the spirit of prophecy.
In the Messianic Psalm we see Messiah's prayer in the spirit of prophecy
Ps 22:12 Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.
There is a promise for Alahym's people and that promise is that he would bring back his people (remnant) from Bashan from the depths of the wrath of Alahym. He will separate the wheat from the tares.
Ps 68:21 But Alahym shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as who goes on still in his trespasses.
22 ¶ Yahuah said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea:
Coming back to the sin of Dan in the spirit of prophecy Alahym likens the sin of fornication with Mystery Babylon to the sin of Dan. A false priesthood, a misrepresentation of the pattern can be seen in those swearing by the sin of Samaria (head of Ephraim) saying thy el, O Dan lives.
Amos 8:11 Behold, days are coming, declares Adonai Yahuah, that I shall send a famine on the land, not a famine for bread nor a thirst for water, but rather for hearing the words of Yahuah.
Amos 8:12 And they shall wander from sea to sea and from the north even to the east; they shall roam about to seek the word of Yahuah, but they shall not find it.
Amos 8:13 In that day the beautiful virgins and the young men shall faint from thirst.
Amos 8:14 As for those who swear by the guilt of Samaria, who say, as your el lives, O Dan, and, as the way of Beersheba lives, they shall fall and not rise again.
Deut 33:22 Of Dan he said, Dan is a lion’s whelp, That leaps forth from Bashan.

Amos 8:14 As for those who swear by the guilt of Samaria, who say, as your el lives, O Dan, and, as the way of Beersheba lives, they shall fall and not rise again.
Dan
branched out portion of the the Levitical priesthood to IDOLATRY and
their own el. That's why instead of Dan the tribe of LEVI is mentioned
in Rev 7. The branch of the true priesthood of Messiah.
Also
when we read 1 Kings 12 Solomon's son did not act wisely like his
father. Yasharal split from him so Rehoboam only ruled Yahudah and when he
was consulting to make war against Yasharal to take them back Yahuah
forbad him to do so. Yaraboam ruled Yasharal as they made him king and he
did not want the people of Yasharal to go upto Yahudah to worship there so he set 2
calves of gold one in Bethel and the other one in DAN.
1Ki 12:26 Yaraboam said in his heart, Now the kingdom shall return to the house of David.
1Ki 12:27 If this people go up to offer sacrifices in the house of Yahuah at Yerushalam, then the heart of this people shall return to their master, even to Rehoboam king of Yahudah; and they shall kill me and return to Rehoboam king of Yahudah.
1Ki 12:28 So the king consulted, and made two golden calves, and he said to them, It is too much for you to go up to Yerushalam; behold your El, O Yasharal, that brought you up from the land of Egypt.
1Ki 12:29 He set one in Bethel, and the other he put in Dan. .
1Ki 12:26 Yaraboam said in his heart, Now the kingdom shall return to the house of David.

Re 7:7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.
Physically
these two tribes Dan and Ephraim who tried to destroy the PATTERN were
judged and their names not mentioned in the sealing of the elect. Dan and Ephraim are a picture of those joining Mystery Babylon and defiling themselves in bed with her.
Amos 3:12 Thus says Yahuah, as when the shepherd takes two legs from the lion’s mouth.
Amos 3:13 Hear and testify against the house of Yaaqob, declares Adonai Yahuah, the El of hosts.
Amos 3:14 For on the day that I visit the transgressions of Yasharal on him, I shall also visit on the altars of Beth’El; the horns of the altar shall be cut off and they shall fall to the ground
Isa 7:8 For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Ratsyan; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it be not a people.
9 And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is RemalYahu's son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.
In Amos 3:12 Alahym says that he will rescue the children of Yasharal from the bed of fornication of Samaria which in spiritual comparison is the head of EPHRAIM and from Damascus which in spiritual comparison is the head of Syria.
Levi was one of the sons of Yaaqob and in Gen 49 he was there among the other 11 brothers when Yaaqob told them what would befall them in the last days.
Gen 49:1 Then Ya’aqob summoned his sons and said, Assemble yourselves that I may tell you what shall befall you in the last days.
When did the last days begin? When the Messiah was revealed? So Yaaqob was prophesying the spiritual inheritance that the 12 tribes would have in Messiah.
Ac 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, says Alahym, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Wasn't Levi one of the sons of Yaaqob and present in Gen 49 so shouldn't his name be included in Rev 7 by default?
Let's look at this a little closer
Moses was commanded by Alahym not to number the tribe of Levi for they were separated to serve the Yahuah as priests. But Levi's name is mentioned in Rev 7 instead of Dan because this was spiritual numbering.
Ephraim and Manasseh were blessed to be tribes as promised to Yoseph when Yaaqob blessed them in Gen 48 but Ephraim's name is not mentioned in the spiritual numbering in Rev 7.
Here are some scripture references
Gen 48:5 Now your two sons, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt, are mine; they, Ephrayim and Manasseh, like Reuben and Simeon shall be mine.
Gen 48:6 But your offspring that have been born after them shall be yours; they shall be called by the names of their brothers in their inheritance.
Num 1:47 The Levites were not numbered among them by their fathers’ tribe.
But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.
Num 1:48 For Yahuah had spoken to Mosheh, saying,
Num 1:49 Only the tribe of Levi you shall not number, nor shall you take their census in midst of the sons of Yasharal.
Num 1:50 But you shall appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the testimony, and over all its furnishings and over all that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings, and they shall take care of it; they shall encamp around the tabernacle.
Levi had no inheritance among the children of Yasharal . While this was a judgment to Levi (along with Simeon of being scattered) yet it was with a purpose and that purpose is that they find a spiritual inheritance in the priesthood of Messiah. Infact Yaaqob prophesied of Simeon's and Levi's scattering in Israel.
Gen 49:5 Simeon and Levi are brothers; their weapons are instruments of violence.
Gen 49:6 Let my soul not enter into their council; let not my glory be united with their assembly; because in their anger they slew men, and in their self-shall they lamed oxen.
Ge 49:7 Cursed be their anger, for it is fierce; and their wrath, for it is cruel. I shall disperse them in Yaaqob, and scatter them in Yasharal.
Alahym through the spirit of prophecy says that he will divide Simeon and Levi in Yaaqob and scatter them in Yasharal because of their anger which they unleashed against him who raped their sister Dinah. While this anger was cruel and is a picture of the children of Alahym taking judgment into their hands by hating those who are part of Mystery Babylon as being responsibile for their fornication rather than true repentance of seeing the sin WITHIN i.e. seeing our sin, our rebellion.
Ro 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says Yahuah.
Simeon and Levi would still find mercy and yes their names are mentioned in the spiritual numbering though they are scattered in Yasharal as prophesied.
Re 7:7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.
Manasseh's name is mentioned in the spiritual numbering but EPHRAIM was left out because he came against the PATTTERN but instead Yoseph's name is mentioned in the spiritual numbering so that the promise made to Yoseph would be fulfilled that Yospeh would have a portion more than his brothers.
Ge 48:22 Moreover I have given to you (Yoseph) one portion above your brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.
Before we continue to see those being judged who came against the pattern of Alahym, Alahym doesn't spare the heathen nations as well. Judgment begins at the house of Alahym and Ephraim and Dan are a representation of that judgment.
1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of Alahym: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the besorah of Alahym?
18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
In the spirit of prophecy to Yoseph in Gen 48:22 (the last part of the verse) Alahym speaks things as though they were from his perspective. For this we need to see what Alahym told Abraham about the captivity of his seed and the purpose of it. The purpose if defined in Gen 15: 16 i.e the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.
Ge 15:16 But in the fourth generation they shall come here again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.
Ge 15:17 ¶ And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.
18 In the same day YAHUAH made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto your seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
19 The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,
20 And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims,
21 And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.
Da 8:23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
Since Ephraim was out of the spiritual numbering the promise made to Yoseph was that he would have one portion more than his brethren so his name and his sons Manasseh's name is mentioned in the spiritual numbering in Rev 7.
Rev 7:8 from the tribe of Zebulun were sealed twelve thousand, from the tribe of Yoseph were sealed twelve thousand, from the tribe of Benyamin, twelve thousand were sealed.
So we see those coming against the PATTERN of Alahym (Messiah) and whoever is not with the pattern of Alahym is against Messiah and anti messiah. Alahym did not spare his own people who came against his pattern.
Mt 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathers not with me scatters abroad.
At the same time we see his mercy in his judgment and his faithfulness towards the spirit of prophecy in giving the children of Ephraim and Dan a lot as prophesied to Yoseph that his lot would be one portion above his brethren. Ephraim is counted in Yoseph.
Eze 48:32 And at the east side four thousand and five hundred: and three gates; and one gate of Yoseph, one gate of Benyamin, one gate of Dan.
The gate on the east of the temple is associated with Messiah and there is Dan's allotment with Yoseph.
Finally a call to see how Alahym punishes those who come against his pattern
Jer 4:14 Wash your heart from evil, O Yerushalam, that you may be saved. How long shall your vain thoughts lodge within you?
Jer 4:15 For a voice declares from Dan, and proclaims wickedness from Mount Ephraim .
Jer 4:16 Report it to the nations: behold, proclaim over Yerushalam, besiegers come from a distant land, and lift their voices against the cities of Yahudah.
In calling Yerusalem to repent of fornication Alahym is telling her that the spirit of prophecy (watchers) declares from Dan and Ephraim in showing them how he judged them who came against his pattern so he will not spare them either.
